Natalie Keller Reinert has done it AGAIN! Luck (The Eventing Series #4) was another fantastic read in this series. Natalie nails the horse portions of her books. Every. Single. Time. There was a certain line in this book that made me laugh out loud because I had actually experienced it that same week I read it.
I love reading about Jules, Pete, and all their horses. I truly enjoyed meeting the new cast of characters who join Jules and Pete as well. I enjoyed every page of Luck and the ups and downs that we experience along with the characters.
Thank you to Natalie Keller Reinert, Flatiron Books, and NetGalley for an ARC of Luck (The Eventing Series #4) in exchange for an honest review.

As luck is the fourth book in the event series I do recommend reading in order. And I’m unsurprisingly I enjoyed this book a lot. Natalie has become one of those offices for me that I know what to expect out of her stories, which I love. In luck, we tie up a lot of loose ends that have been storylines throughout these past four books. Jules is predictable but lovable with her approach to horses and her hectic personal life. I love that we get to experience the same horses and characters throughout the series, I feel like that really makes you feel like you are with them through their journeys. I especially enjoyed the side characters and hope to see more of their stories and teacher books.

I know I sound like a broken record because I say this every single time I read one of these books, but I have to say it: they accuracy of the horse world and horse interactions is so good! It is everything to me!
Natalie Keller Reinert and her Eventing series is proof that you NEED to have interacted with horses in order to write a book (or series) about them (I'm looking at you, cowboy romance book authors). I find myself skipping over scenes about horses in books that have obviously been written by someone who does not know much about horses, but never with these books. It really really really does make such a massive difference in the reading experience for me (and I'm sure for every other reader who has ridden or competed or just been around horses).
Since this is the fourth book in this series, we see a lot of character development and a culmination of past character development, which I always love to see in books. I really am a character-based reader. Give me characterization and I will be happy. I did find that a few parts dragged a bit and were a tad slow, but I can forgive that because of how amazingly accurate the horse moments are.
I really do speed through this series!
Thanks to NetGalley for the e-ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review! My Goodreads review is up and my TikTok (Zoe_Lipman) review will be up at the end of the month with my monthly reading wrap-up.
