I must say I was pleasantly surprised with this book. It was fun, and flirty but also had a serious undertone. I really enjoyed the audio narration done by Jacqui Bardelang and I really think that made the book more enjoyable for me. I will say the whole cover up for murder thing was completely unbelievable and I didn't know how they were going to make it work but it does work out eventually. I think this book could have existed solely as a rom-com if you removed the murder entirely but then I guess there would have to be another conflict in it's place. I wasn't 100% on board with how the murder and cover up were handled, but it did add a some intrigue to the story. Overall, I was impressed with this book and I'm looking forward to seeing more from this author in the future.

A little suspense and lots of romance. A fun read with a journalist and an actor trying and failing to not fall in love while also covering up a murder.
