The book was beautifully written. The author made careful word choices that were very impactful. Overall, the book was well written and I did really enjoy it.
I would like to thank netGalley and William Morrow for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
I am always looking for cute simple treats to make , and this ecopy has provided just that. I loved the ease of preparation for these recipes, the ingredients are easy to find. I am looking forward to the release of this book so that I can buy it as a gift.
Celebrating Every Day includes 100 recipes for breakfast, dinner, appetizers, treats, desserts, and holidays to make every day special. Every recipe has an introduction, ingredient list, numbered directions, and icons to show what holidays the recipes would be great for. However, only around two-thirds of the recipes include photos, and most of the photos are of the desserts and holiday recipes. I appreciate it when cookbooks include a photo of every recipe because you can see what the final dish is supposed to look like, and it can help you decide if you want to make it. That said, the recipes do seem easy enough to follow, and the cookbook would be perfect for those looking for every day and holiday-themed recipes.
I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. This has a few interesting ideas and recipes, but not a book that I need to own.
This was a fluke request for me because I almost never request cookbooks...I am usually so disappointed but THIS one was the exact type of cookbook I was looking for...most, if not all, of the recipes have these really colorful amazing pictures to go with them and just about everything looks like something I would eat or take to a potluck or something. In fact, as soon as I was done with it I went to go look on Amazon to see if it was available yet. I will definitely be buying this one. And I would recommend it for anyone who either has small children or eats like small children :)
I received an e-copy of this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
The color scheme was giving me Chef Barbie (which is not an insult), just an observation. There were a few recipes that I would maybe be interested in, but as a whole this cookbook was not really up my alley. I think people will particularly like the holiday section, because the holiday decorated stuff seems to be big with the pinterest crowds.
I like the concept of this book, and the idea of celebrating every day. I liked the holiday icons that showed which recipes are good for each holiday. The recipes were fun yet simple. The flavors of the recipes were familiar yet done in a really creative way. The layout of the book was whimsical and added to the overall aesthetic of the book. While the recipes seem skewed more towards what children would enjoy, I feel like children of all ages really would love this book.
What a beautiful book! I immediately wanted to make a list of recipes to try. I like how the book categorizes recipes, making it easy to find food ideas based on a holiday or special occasion or just because! Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. I think families with young children will really enjoy this book.
