“The Night Before Christmas at Dunder Mifflin” is an adaptation of the classic Clement Moore poem with references to “The Office.”

The book is very short, and sometimes the rhythm in the verse feels a bit off or forced. It’s clearly a book for fans of the show, the vast majority being adults, but it’s delivered in a very juvenile format that’s cute but never really funny.

Whenever I think of “The Night Before Christmas,” it tends to be accompanied by detailed artwork and bound in beautiful, classic styling. The cover of this book matched that expectation. However, the watercolor cartoon style illustrations felt a bit lacking and mismatched to the cover styling. I’m a book like this, I really look for Easter eggs in the illustrations, and the simplicity of these seemed like a missed opportunity.

This would probably make a fun gift for fans of “The Office” who like to collect all of the tie-in licensed merchandise and books. There’s definitely a huge fan base that loves this kind of book, and I’m sure they would enjoy it. More casual fans and readers probably wouldn’t pick it up a second time, though.

Thanks to NetGalley and Mariner Books for the advanced read.

This is a really cute book if you like The Office. I don't think it would be as appealing if you're not familiar with the show though. I am luckily, so this was a cute, quick read for me. I think it would make a good holiday gift for all the fans out there.

I read an ARC of this book from NetGalley. All comments are my own.

An Office retelling of the Night Before Christmas with watercolor style art. I imagine fans of the show will enjoy this and the show references. The art style wasn't for me.

What a great Christmas tale with all your favorite characters from The Office. This charming story highlights some of the moments from this hilarious show that you'll love to remember told in the style of Twas The Night Before Christmas. Santa and the Assistant (to the) Head Elf make the story so special. A definite read for all fans of The Office.

The plan on Twas the Night before Christmas was great. There were a lot of references from the show that any fan would enjoy. I think this would make a great gift. This is a must read for any fan of the Office. Just a note, it is definitely a more adult book, and not meant for kids. Overall, I would definitely recommend this book.

This was a fun and cute book! Not sure it would be a good fit for small children (given the nature of some of the descriptions) but I think this will become and instant holiday classic for anyone who loves The Office!

This is a great “picture” of The Office. Includes all their people and their “snarky comments.” Poor Toby! Just a funny little Christmas story that will make you chuckle!

This book was super cute! As a far of the office this was delightful and I loved all the inside jokes. It took me right back to the days of watching the Office with a fun holiday twist. I read this to my kid as well and she liked the pictures and the story. The references are more for the adults reading these type of books to their kids over and over again. It makes reading some of these types of stories more fun when there is a little humor for you in there to share with your kid.

𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘕𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘉𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘮𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘵 𝘋𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘔𝘶𝘧𝘧𝘭𝘪𝘯 is an adorable and amusing storybook perfect for lovers of the long-running NBC sitcom 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦. Writers Brian Baumgartner (who portrayed Kevin) and Ben Silverman gives a Scranton spin to the classic tale with cheeky nods to the show and its beloved characters. There are also some lovely and festive illustrations from artist Mael Gourmelen. The book definitely put me in the holiday spirit. This would make a cute Christmas gift for an 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦 fan (or an entry in a Yankee Swap party game). Thank you to Mariner Books for the advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is a parody of The Night Before Christmas with Dunder Mifflin employees filling in. Fans of The Office will enjoy seeing Santa leave gifts for all and will love the references. The artwork style reminds me of 70's magazine cartoons. You'll recognize every character, especially Kevin and his chili. The perfect gift for any Office fans in your life.
