Although I thought the characters weren't as memorable as in the first three books, I still adored the writing style and literary devices, and I found it to be an easy read. Since I was unaware that this book included Christmas, I also appreciated the sprinkles throughout. Christmas combined with romance is always a winning combination.

Thank you to Netgalley, Boldwood Books, and Sandy Barker for granting my request to read this e-ARC and provide my honest opinions.

I would have rated this 3.5 stars, but I rounded it up to 4 stars. The whole transition from friends to lovers took me on a ride, and I really thought that both Raff's and Gaby's HEAs (Happily Ever After) would not happen due to some circumstances on both MCs part.

"Someone Like You" is the fourth book in the "Ever After Agency Series," and I read this book as a standalone even without reading the rest in the series.

Honestly, I feel that no one can be as dumb and oblivious as Raff. Like, seriously, dude, how can you not know when someone is flirting with you? The whole matchmaker bit got me excited (that's a dream job).

Overall, I really enjoyed this story, even if I thought it was way too long and dragging in some aspects😩. I'm glad that Gaby and Raff got their HEAs.❤

Book summary: “What do you do when you realise you've fallen for your best friend, but he sees you as the sister he never had? And to make things worse, you're stuck in the middle of a matchmaking scheme to find him someone else!” I’m not a fan of the friends to lovers trope but the adorable cover drew me in. I’m glad it did as I really enjoyed this fun and lighthearted romantic comedy. Great characters and writing. I’ll be checking out the author’s backlist.

I think this one was my favourite in the series!
I adored Raff, and not only because he bakes! I loved the special relationship Gabs and Raff have and how they both just see each other.
Gabs' family were so fun, and so typically romcom, the perfect in-laws.

I always love little snippets on how some of the previous characters are doing, and I actually can't wait to see what's going to happen in the next book. Sandy left so many breadcrumbs that I'm dying over!

This was such a great read! Gaby and Raff are best friends, but when Gaby is set up to find Raff his true love, well, the universe decides they would be better as a couple. Such a sweet, fun story!

Yay for Sandy Barker. This can be read as a stand alone book, but if I were you I’d hunt out the previous three books in this series, as you are in for a treat! This is my favourite so far. It made me laugh and also made me cry. I loved the main characters Raff and Gabby, but also all the peripheral characters too.
Cosy up, light the candle and enjoy. Massive recommendation from me

Secret matchmaking, falling for the best friend and snowed in at Christmas with the fam, and even one bed all led for a delightful read. Raff, the male character, was also a delight

I've read 3 our of 4 of the Ever After Agency series now, and this is my favourite so far. It's a series, and while each book can be read on it's own, it's fun revisiting some of the characters you've met in the first books too.

Someone Like You is the fourth book in Ever After Agency series. It was the first one in the series I’ve read but I didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything. In fact I had fun guessing which of the characters might have been in the books before! Serial monogamist Raff gets dumped on the day that he wins the Britain’s Best Baker reality TV show. His Aunt CiCi hires the Ever After Agency to secretly find his match and enlists best friend and work wife Gaby to help them.

I enjoyed learning about the match making industry. It was a refreshing take to have the male main character the one down on his luck rather than the female. I enjoyed getting to know both Raff and Gaby. I felt for Raff as we learned about how he grew and really enjoyed his closeness with his aunt and their shared love of baking. Gaby’s career crisis was also very relatable. It was fun to see the differences in UK and US culture and I loved all the group chats.
For fans of friends to lovers, forced proximity and one bed tropes. I’ll definitely be going back to read the others in the series.

In Someone Like You, readers are treated to a delightful exploration of friendship and unspoken feelings as Gaby finds herself grappling with a newfound love for her best friend, Raff. Unfortunately, Raff views her as the sister he never had, complicating Gaby's emotions even further. To add to the mix, they find themselves caught up in a matchmaking scheme with the Ever After Agency, aiming to find Raff the perfect partner amidst his chaotic romantic history and newfound fame as Britain’s Best Baker.

Initially, Gaby throws herself into helping Raff find true love, thrilled at the prospect of him meeting someone special. However, as she assists in the matchmaking process, jealousy creeps in, and she’s forced to confront her feelings just as Raff begins to fall for one of his dates. This leads to a heartfelt dilemma: can Gaby suppress her emotions, or will she risk their cherished friendship to discover if Raff feels the same way?

Set against the festive backdrop of London and Seattle, this romantic comedy captures the spirit of the holidays while delivering a charming friends-to-lovers narrative. It’s the fourth instalment in the Ever After Agency series, yet it stands beautifully on its own.

The concept of an unaware matchmaker is a clever twist that adds a layer of fun to the story. From the beginning, it’s evident that Gaby harbours deeper feelings for Raff, even before she acknowledges them herself. The tension of not knowing whether Raff would reciprocate those feelings kept me eagerly turning the pages, desperate to uncover the truth.

With its cosy, festive atmosphere and engaging plot, Someone Like You is perfect for fans of clean and sweet holiday romances, as well as those who appreciate themes of friendship and found family. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to get swept up in a heartwarming tale of love and self-discovery during the most magical time of the year.

This moved both too slowly and too fast for me. Raff only realized he liked Gaby in the last few pages of the book? It felt anti-climatic after following her journey to realizing her feelings about him. As someone who hasn't read the other books in the series, I wished the Poppy chapters had been Raff chapters instead; having his POV would have added more to the story than Poppy's.

To say I wanted more would be an understatement. This was a delicious page turner right from the start. Everytime I had to put it down, it was all I could think about. I did end up finishing way past my bedtime, just so I would be able to sleep

The Ever After Agency is the best rom-com series around these days! I love the continuity of the storylines. We get something new each time but just enough of the previous info to ground the entire story. The characters are always authentic and the romance is swoon-worthy. This is #4 and you'll enjoy it so much more if you read the first three. It's a friends-to-lovers, one bed, forced proximity delight. There's always a destination in the series and a traditional US Christmas setting made me happy and already full of holiday spririt!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book.

Someone Like You by Sandy Barker was so, so funny. I should add that I will read anything by Sandy Barker, but this was especially enjoyable. Gaby and Raff are best friends for forever. He is the new winner of Britain's Best Baker, but he was left by his girlfriend as the competition was ending. To help him get over her and find love, his friends decide to enlist the help of Poppy and her Ever After Agency.

As the "perfect" women are being matched with Raff, Gaby starts to realize that she has feelings for him. I love a friends-to-lovers story, and this was just beautiful. There was also winter holidays thrown in, which always gets me.

The banter was SPOT ON! The romance was so swoony (like chest squeeze swoon). I loved seeing these characters again and would read the next book in the series in a heartbeat!

I have a real soft spot for this series and loved jumping back onto Matchmaking Land with Poppy and her gang!
This time, matchmaker extraordinaire Poppy has to match Raff, recently crowned Britain's Best Baker, without him knowing by one of his best friends and her co-worker, with the assistance of his other best friend, Gaby.
Matching without someone knowing is hard enough, but adding a friend discovering feelings for their friend after the matchmaking journey has begun is a whole lot more crazy.
Throughout the story, we have Poppy's POV, and I found it lovely. She is the thread through the series, and we get to learn more about how she is getting on in life, as well as some important characters from previous books.
We have romance, friends to lovers and CHRISTMAS! What's not to love?
It's a fantastic addition to the series!
Many thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an ARC.

I haven't read any of the previous books in this series; though this book does read as a standalone. It was a good friends to lovers trope. The first half was SO good but then it dragged and I had to force myself to finish it. I found some bits to be boring and drawn out - some chapters didn't even need to be there and I didn't care for Poppy's POV....why?!

Overall it was a fun romcom. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

I want to thank NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC!

I loved the continuation of the Ever After Agency series with Gaby and Raff, especially as it included the baking elements! In most of the books, one of the MCs is involved in artistic creation or in the artistic world and it's fascinating to see new aspects of it in later books. I liked Gaby's role in her group of friends, she is the glue that keeps them together and I loved her personality! Raff was so sweet and charming, though a bit slow coming to realize his feelings for Gaby. Overall, though I loved seeing them together and their HEA.

Now that I've read this, I can't wait for Book 5! Can't wait to fall in love with another couple :)

3.5 stars rounded up. I had previously read and enjoyed the first two books in the serious, so I though I would give this one a go. A bit slow for my liking and having Poppy as a POV character didn't make much sense for me (especially because her perfect love life is getting a bit old). Nevertheless, Raff and Gaby had great banter and chemistry, and it was. Still overall enjoyable to read. Would recommend to fans of the series.

This book was adorable! It is the 4th in the Ever After Agency series, but can be read as a stand-alone. I thought the concept of a match-maker was so fun, especially because Raff wasn't aware he was being matched. It was clear from the start that Gaby had feelings for Raff, even before she admitted it to herself. What I couldn't figure out was whether he reciprocated, and that kept me reading fast so I could finally know how he felt! The book is set at Christmas time, and was very cozy and festive. I highly recommend this one, especially if you enjoy clean and sweet holiday romances, friends to lovers, and found family.

A perfect slow burn! G rated and oh so sweet.
Really not sure why we have Poppy's POV,  but it was funny to see her realise before anyone else what the couple was like.
I do think a third person narrator would've worked better for the story. Focusing on Poppy amd Gabby, but not Raff, felt weird, if multiple a POVs are involved.
Having a little more insight into Raff would've been nice, besides being anxious about switching jobs and being an oblivious good guy, he felt flat as a character.
It's been a day since I finished it, and while I enjoyed reading it and thought it was a cute concept, I so t remember much barely 24hrs later...

I barely read romance these days, but if I do I like the friends to lovers trope. This started well but then dragged on and has a lot of stereotypes. I also think is too predictable and too long for this type of book. Apparently is a part of a series, and this is the first time I read this author.
