What a fun children's book! This book not only introduces tons of new words in a way that engaging and fun for children, but also in an subtle way teaches that words have power and throwing them out willy nilly is not the best idea.

The illustrations are interesting to look at, especially as related to the words used throughout the book. It clearly demonstrates the meaning of each.

This beautiful picture book shows us the power in words and all the different ones that we can learn and use. As a former educator I can see so many wonder lesson taught using this book….a whole wall of new words drawn and posted for other to learn and enjoy.

Cute picture book celebrating words and their magic. Oscar discovers a chest full of words. Initially he isn’t sure what to do with them. But the clever illustrations show him using the words to make a bug monstrous or a bird house grandiose. He learns that you can always look for and learn new words. I thought the story was imaginative but thought I’d have to explain some of the words to younger readers. I could easily see this in my school library and would enjoy reading it to students.

This was a perfect little book! This story beautifully conveys the magic and power of language, encouraging young readers to explore the world around them with curiosity and imagination.

As for the illustrations—wow! They are absolutely stunning, vibrant, and perfectly complement the whimsical tone of the story. The book’s message of creativity and the joy of learning through words is heartfelt, and I can see myself reading this again and again. I’m already planning to buy a copy to share with my nephews.
