NetGalley's Social Media Handbook is a succinct, graphic-heavy guide to social media for book advocates. It's a great resource for anyone who wants to generate or improve their social media presence and is unsure where to start. Specific tips are offered for each platform, as well as a more general guide for promotional strategies. Don't miss the section on accesibility!

This was very helpful with my social media. It is an area I struggle in and am always looking for more assistance and guidance in this space.
I hope this helps more content creators and arc reviewers like myself.

A must read for anyone in the bookish community! Includes valuable tips and tricks for all platforms for example how to share reviews, plan your calendar, content creation and more. Great for book reviewers, booksellers or librarians alike. Thanks NetGalley!

So helpful. This is a really good guide for anyone getting started on this site. I found the social media tool ok very useful, especially in regards to ideas for Instagram posts.

The guide was very helpful. I am only typing this because I need to get to 100 words and remove this from my feedback shelf.

Good little basic information, without really going in depth. It's a general marketing piece, but the graphics are interesting to look at. The difference between the platforms is helpful for those who are not on social media (are NetGalley users really the target audience?).

An informative and helpful read from the first page to the last! This book is very helpful for all book reviewers- whether new or seasoned. I’d also recommend reading this if you’ve been looking to start a book review social media, but have been unsure where to start. I appreciate the advice geared towards specific platforms. I especially liked the many detailed tips on how to best cater your review to whatever platform you write on! If you’ve been looking for help writing reviews or getting a social media started- look no further!

Amazing resource! This is very informative for new bookstagrammers or ones who are revamping their style.
Thank you NetGalley

I will definitely be using these tips for posting and sharing reviews to my various accounts. Thank you WeAreBookish for these helpful intros to NetGalley!

This handbook was a real eye opener, showing multiple ways that readers and book advocates can use social media to support authors.
I received an ARC of “NetGalley’s Social Media Handbook,” by We Are Bookish from NetGalley and We Are Bookish in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Thank you to NetGalley/We Are Bookish for this Social Media Handbook!
It's giving tips for beginners in a colourful format that's not too wordy.
I like the recommendations for free editing software, providing an economical option for those who aren't active on social media and not aware of such tools.

Helpful info for someone learning how to provide helpful feedback that goes beyond "I liked it" or "I didn't like it"

This is a useful handbook on using social media to promote book-related advocacy. It is very short, with most pages being bullet points and graphics-heavy bite-sized tips. The main focus is on the platforms Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, and YouTube, with some small bits on Threads. There are also a few tips on using an independent blog based on WordPress, as well as the review platforms Goodreads and StoryGraph. There is no information on newer platforms with significant readership such as Mastodon, Blusky, or Discord. As a long-standing social media user, I did find a few bits useful, and think this would be quite helpful to someone new to social media. I do think, however, that it needs an update that includes newer media and modification of the TikTok information in consideration of the platforms dubious legal status and extensive new censorship.

Thank you We Are Bookish for this NetGalley arc of NetGalley’s Social Media Handbook.
From this tip book, I actually learned a couple of techniques that I can’t wait to use on my social media platforms, specifically Bookstagram. In addition, thanks to the fabulous writing about BookTube, this book inspired me to begin a book Vlog on YouTube.

This has great information about what to do as a book reviewer and posting them on different venues.
It's broken down per each type so you have what you need to know. Writing a good review, and places to post.
Thank you netgalley, we are bookish for this valuable guide.

So handy!! Will be using this to grow my socials. There are some great tips that I look forward to trying out so I can grow in 2025

Great design with an engaging layout. Helpful tips and tricks for engaging with the bookish communities on social media sites.
Appreciated the notes on difference in writing book reviews for different sites and NetGalley with the emphasis on knowing the audience.
Thank you for also including helpful do and don’t lists for each platform type and content ideas.

Helpful, but feels more like a handbook for someone completely new to social media.
I wasn't a fan of the suggested content posts? There are so many book review social media accounts that look or sound just like the next one, I think this would have been more helpful if it focused on how to navigate social media and the algorithm instead of giving us all the same post ideas.

As a beginning bookstagram girlie, this is a really valuable resource! Everything is covered and I can immediately start implementing this on my page. Thank you, NetGalley!

Another helpful resource for book reviewers! There were great tips for all kinds of platforms, relevant to a large audience.
