I found this handbook very helpful for my Instagram account and keep using it for reference! Especially since I am considering starting on TikTok.

I'm impressed with how NetGalley manages to think of - and then write about - everything a reviewer will have quesions about. When I had questions about strategy for how to best use social media, I looked over the NetGalley website to see if their was any guidance offered. In 35 it's an effective document in explaining how to best optimize one's social media strategy on the most popular social media for book content (instagram, tiktok, youtube, blogs...). It also explains in detail what strategies to implement for best results and how to take pictures and decide how to post them. Very useful! Thanks for making it.

Even though I've worked in marketing and social media for much of my career, I thoroughly enjoyed this NetGalley Social Media Handbook and found it very resourceful.

Below are some of my favorite nuggets:
- It clearly outlines the benefits of each platform - X, Facebook, Threads, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Goodreads, & Storygraph
- The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires U.S.-based readers to disclose who they received a review copy from. (Reminder to do this with each review)
- I forgot that I could/should tag the publishers in my reviews. I've been tagging the author (for 4.5-5 star reviews only) but completely forgot the publisher, so I'm going to start doing this!
- I also loved this idea and am going to start it too! Share that you've been approved Unless the approval email says otherwise, you should feel free to share the news that a new book has been added to your Shelf that you can’t wait to read.

This is a super helpful handbook to help guide readers through how to write an impactful social media review. As someone who has been working in social media for awhile, there were even some helpful new tips for me in there along with some great reminders.

The Social Media Handbook provides great tips and information that I found extremely valuable as I started exploring different platforms to share my reviews. This resource shares insight on the best way to capture your target audience based on the platform you are using and also how to share your content across platforms in a meaningful way. What I especially appreciated about the handbook was the focus on accessibility do's and don't section, loved the inclusivity on a topic that can be easily overlooked on social media.

This set of information for understanding best practices for NetGalley and social media has been so helpful, especially since I am new to the game. I have turned to them a couple of times within the last month. I wish I had a hard copy to hold in my hand! Thank you so much for sharing these and taking the time to distribute them. While there are tips for those who are already pros, the fact that I can refer often for strategies on how to enhance my presence across platforms is a perk. I found NetGalley's social media handbook is very useful for someone who is interested in creating an account on booktok, bookstagram and/or start their own blog and/or a channel on Youtube. The handbook is very beginner friendly. While it may have been intended as a beginner guide, I still found it had very useful tips. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to have a clear understanding of a reader's role on social media.
