This is the ULTIMATE NetGalley guide to reviewing books on social media. Incredibly helpful and informative!

This is a great introduction to the different social media platforms that are available to people who want to discuss books! I like that it includes short descriptions of each one and what it is best used for. I also like that they stress the importance of finding what works for you and not trying to do everything. I also loved that they repeatedly talked about the importance of not tagging authors in negative reviews and how to make your posts more accessible!

A well meaning book, this handbook offers advice that is, to put it simply, common sense. For that reason, anyone who has been for any amount of time on any platform will probably find the advice redundant. Another downside is that social media platforms change their tricks and algorithms so often that the information on how to become viral will soon become irrelevant.

Eh. It'd be a great how to if you knew NOTHING of social media and trying to create content for the first time.
But I don't think it's worth it. Not for me anyway. Others might find it really useful, who knows?

A handy tool for book reviewers whichever platform they use, “NetGalley’s Social Media Handbook” has handy tips and reminders for the newbie and the seasoned influencer. I appreciated that ‘We Are Bookish’ broke down social media strategies by the platform which I found useful even though I only use two of the platforms. In fact, it made me more interested in a couple. The book also includes useful links to other articles previously blogged by “We Are Bookish” which are very helpful. It’s handy having these resources together in one easy to read book that I think will be appreciated by the bookish community.

This is such a helpful guide for anyone looking to start a bookish social media account! I wish this had been available when I first got started! I was aware of most of the tips, but there are so many extra links and articles that I’m sure I’ll learn more as I continue exploring! I’ve never used Twitter/X so reading about how it’s been used for live reactions while reading sounds like something that could be done on Threads and is a great suggestion.

This is a direct guide on how to utilize social media as a book creator in every facet.
