NetGalley'sSocial Media Handbook is a great resource to use. book review tips across retail and other platforms are helpful
As someone who uses social media to share books, this is an invaluable toolkit! It's helpful to have tips and tricks to making effect reviews posts on social media!
Great advice for new comers in the book world! They have short, comprehensive advice for each major bookish platform.
This is great! It has a lot of new to info and some stuff I needed to hear again. It was a good refresh to the review burnout for a mood reader is real! Sometimes you need to step back and breathe, regroup and start again!
As an active book content creator, I appreciated the review of tips and resources. I think the most helpful section is the strategies, especially the inclusion of Canva because it really is such an important tool to use on bookstagram. I wish I had learned how to use it when I started two years ago, I’ve only really become good at it the last six months or so. I think this is a great handbook for those new to bookish social media, as well as those with little experience looking to up their game!
A great little online directory on posting reviews on social media, if you’re new to posting or want a refresher, this is a great little tool.
I appreciate how it focuses on decorum as a reviewer, such as not tagging an author in a bad review, or mass following other reviewers just to unfollow (simple things, but some people may need a reminder 😅).
It also provides resources on how to create great posts!
Great tips and resources for starting and maintaining a bookish presence on various social media platforms. Useful ideas (especially for photographs, which I suck at) and links to other resources. Great handbook!
Handy tip book and something I will refer to help with my bookstagram. It easily breaks down each platform and ideal posts and ways to engage.
This is a solid resource for those newer to utilising social media for their bookish pursuits. I found a lot of the information in here to be clear and easy to follow, with great examples. This handbook covers most social media platforms, and highlights do's and don'ts as well as pro tips and general information.
I do think it's a little misleading to say this handbook was for seasoned pros, however. I didn't really learn anything new here, which is a positive in some ways because it indicates being well-versed in ways to make social media work for the platforms I use. However, it also came across as very common sense based, and thus didn't offer me anything to build upon, which is why I opted to pick this up in the first place.
But for the newer users or those confused on how to get further ahead, I could see this handbook being a good choice to pick up, and for that, I appreciate the team who put this together to assist others.
Another great tool for Netgalley users when they want to expand their knowledge of other social media review platforms
This is a great guide for someone who’s just starting out with a bookish social media page, but it also just completely changed my life letting me know the NetGalley shelf app has a read aloud feature!! Cannot wait to use it omg
Very helpful for new book reviewers. I have never aspired to be an influencer so I have not fully grasped the ways to work with the algorithm or get social media engagement. This was a great resource with easy-to-follow steps.
Helpful! I think it definitely helps you get a start in the world of reviewing! I recommend if your new to the Net galley app!
This handbook has so many tips for those new to posting reviews on social media, as well as those who are already experienced. I've many reviewing books for many years, but am fairly new to Instagram, so I always appreciate tips on how to manage my account better. I would have loved to have had this when I first started Bookstagram, but am glad to have it now.
The only thing that would make it better is if there was a Kindle-compatible version to make it easier to go back to refer to.
Got lots of great ideas and tips from this handbook. I learned how to adjust my review on NetGalley to one ready for Goodreads. Lots of great ideas for beginners and even seasoned bookstagrammers. I will reference this handbook periodically. I’ve had questions recently about starting a blog and this handbook provided me some much needed guidance, Thank you NetGalley
This guide provides some great tips and instructions for how to successfully review books using social media. It includes information on instagram, TikTok, blogs, review platforms (Goodreads and story graph) and a few others. I like how each section gives a list of dos and don't along with specific tips. This would be great for anyone just getting started as a book reviewer or even a seasoned reviewer.
Thank you NetGalley for this guide. Super helpful hints and tips, in bitesize peices, making it easy to follow.
This was a very useful and quick tool guide about social media. It spans from which social media can be best for us, how we can get started, do's and dont's, how to write reviews on each platform. It was very clear and well structured. I have hugely appreciated it and I highly recommend it to starters.
This was a super quick but very informative read! It has a lot of great pointers to implement for all sorts of different social media sites to generate a positive discourse over books with whatever audience the person may have. Some do’s and dont’s that were very on point. This is very much geared for beginners looking to start a page of their own on their desired platform. I can say having had my page for a couple of years now, I find the do’s and dont’s to be noteworthy and accurate bits of info. I enjoyed how it was formatted and easy to read quickly.
This was a really cool, informative look at social media for the bookstagrammer. I really enjoyed the tips and have been able to implement them very quickly!
