Overall, I thought that this book was somewhat helpful, but not really for the platforms that I'm on. I know that Bluesky and Storygraph are a bit newer, so I"m sure that they weren't thinking about those (since all the other platforms are much more popular and well-known), but it does make me wonder how much the author is invested in supporting corporate style platforms. I also wasn't super swayed by the information presented - I don't really care much to follow the advice because it's focused heavily on trying to get intrigue from the audience and my intention with writing book reviews is more for myself than for other people's approval and excitement. If I wanted to be an influencer, I think this book would have been more helpful.

Fantastic help and advice for sharing on social media. I have looked back a few times and will continue to use it in the future.

This succinct (35 pages) and well-organized compendium of social media tips and strategies is created to assist book reviewers in creating, illustrating, sharing, and promoting their opinions. Sections on each of the primary social media platforms and channels give a description of its usage, audience, engagement tactics, plus demonstrations (with screenshots) of how to open each type of account. Hashtag protocols and helpful checklists are also provided. Another valuable section offers advice on writing book reviews. Canva is the recommended method for illustrating reviews and designing appealing, attention-grabbing book aesthetics, for print, digital, and audiobooks.

A helpful introduction to the concepts of using social media to promote books and authors. The text is concise and easy to read, perfect for the new reviewer looking to make an impact to readers and authors alike.

This guide to social media for book reviewers is super helpful, illustrating the differences between writing reviews for NetGalley (where your audience is the publisher) vs other platforms (where readers are your audience) and giving quick tips to get started without being overwhelmed by it all.

An incredibly beneficial book for those who have either started or have long had book reviewing Social Media accounts. They give so much advice in here: whether it's about how to start up, promote reviews, use appropriate hashtags to attract audiences or providing tips and tricks for posting photos about books or audiobooks, they have all the dos and donts. A must-read!

Short and sweet! This book has nice graphics and the information is clear and to the point. Great infomration.

This is a great handbook to get started with NetGalley and various social media sites. This has been very helpful as I start my ARC journey.

The social media handbook was incredibly helpful in starting my Bookstagram/Booktok journey. It was clear, concise and easy to read. It has prompted me to make some changes to my profiles and posting habits. It has also given me some great ideas to implement. Overall this guide was incredibly informative and helpful.

There were so many good tips in this handbook! I only started truly writing book reviews last year and only started my Booktok account in August of 2024. I am still very new to the book influencing scene. I am doing some of these tips but many ideas and thoughts were new to me. Excited to put them to use! Thank you to We Are Bookish and NetGalley for this free guide!!

This was so helpful! Have great insight on how to get started with NetGalley! The audiobook review tip page was incredibly useful for me as I am new to ALC reviews. I also appreciate the guidance and support provided by this handbook! NetGalley truly went above and beyond by creating and providing this tool for reviewers! I highly recommend.

Although I didn't get a chance to use this right away, now that I have I think its such a great addition to what Netgalley offers. I enjoy using it and it keeps me organized for once.
