What a positively boring and dull story.

The blurb for this was listed as "The Breakfast Club meets Ocean's Eleven". Uh, no it isn't. This is nothing like either of those. The only way it is SLIGHTLY like Ocean's Eleven is that it mentions Ocean's Twelve. THAT IS IT. So why did I finish? I felt obligated since it was a free read.

The four kids, Alice, Jason, Benny, and Dakota, aren't friends at the high school they all attend. This will be no shock but they don't even run in the same social circles but they team up after the school loses most of its money. What do they do? They plan to rob the US Mint.

*record screech*

Are you serious? Four HS students want to rob a US Mint? *le sigh* It doesn't get any better so I'll spare you exact details. The chapters are told from alternating POV but don't expect the chapters to be labeled. The voices sound the same and I quickly lost any idea of who was talking. There was nothing that made the characters stand apart from one another. They felt so very underdeveloped and flat. I never connected with them and didn't care what they were doing.

Don't expect any type of a plot with this story because there isn't one. The title is "COIN HEIST" but nothing really happens (if you can even call it that...) until almost you are 75% done with the book. I normally DNF at 40-50% but I stayed with this one. Boy how I was disappointed. I wish I had DNFd instead. This just did not live up to the blurb and I walked away so disappointed.
