This is a decently written book, but couldn't quite decide what it wanted to be. It isn't necessarily a mystery, although there's a bit of that. It isn't really a character study, although the main character is quirky. It's just a bit uneven for being scattered.

I did not enjoy this novel. The premise was semi-interesting. I couldn't get a sense of what genre this was supposed to be. Unfortutanely I did not feel anything with this book and when I don't feel, I tend to give lower ratings. I pretty much felt indifferent to Wallace during the majority of the novel.
