A compulsive fast paced psychological thriller! Honestly couldn’t put it down! From the very first page, you’re addicted, a page turner! Author Daniel Hurst does it again! After reading “The Perfect Nurse” I knew I couldn’t wait to read more! This is his third in this series with Darcy and Pippa but you don’t necessarily need to read one before the other but makes the story all the more fitting.

I literally could not put this book down at all!

"The Nurse's Mistake" by Daniel Hurst is a fast-paced 4-star read! Darcy and Pippa return in the third installment of The Perfect Nurse series, and the story picks up right where the second book left off. Darcy, the infamous killer nurse, is on the run, determined to uncover secrets from her past. Meanwhile, Pippa has fled with her family, hoping they can finally find safety.

As with the previous books, you can expect lies, deceit, and maybe even another murder—all in the name of protecting loved ones. Fans of the first two installments will find this one just as thrilling. If you're a fan of Daniel Hurst or enjoy quick-moving stories that aren’t too heavy, this book is for you! I can’t wait to see what Daniel Hurst has in store for readers next!"

Thanks to Bookouture, Daniel Hurst, and NetGalley for providing me with the opportunity to read this ARC and share my honest review.

A car accident leaving Darcy with memory loss and questionable decisions in her nursing career take this novel over the top in suspense. She never meant to hurt anyone but sometimes extreme situations lead you to make horrible choices, murder being one of them. A family who all work in the medical field stand beside Darcy in more ways than one and risk their own lives. On the run again, a nurse, her family dodging the media and the police trying to avoid the inevitable! Her sister, Pippa, also a nurse has always put her sister first and those decisions have come with consequences now that she’s married and has a child. How far will a family go to protect their loved one?

If you love a psychological thriller, I highly recommend this unputdownable novel!

This is the 3rd book in the Nurse's Series....so of course I had to read all three. Daniel Hurst did an impeccable job of remaining consistent with his core characters and establishing new faces in the 3rd book. To Darcy and Pippa family is everything and they will do anything to protect their family. While the other two books touched on the close family relationship shared between Darcy and Pippa, the 3rd book in this series delves into the closeness their family has shared and the struggles of others to understand, even if Darcy can't remember it.! The series was great and I would highly recommend

Yet again. Daniel Hurst brings us to a conclusion with this great series. Another brilliant book that I couldn’t put down. I didn’t want it to end but loved the final twist.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Having read the first 2 books, was very grateful to be able read this version, which for me rounded the tale off. Having found the second story slightly far fetched, I really enjoyed this one. Told from the view points of the main 2 characters, it provided deeper insight into the actions and decisions that these 2 women had made and highlighted to what lengths individuals would go to protect their loved ones. Twists along the way and an ending I didn't predict, I would highly recommend giving this book ago. Best read as a series rather than a standalone book.

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC! This was my first book by Daniel Hurst and I was not disappointed. I really enjoyed this book and the characters. I like it when a book has different point of views. I didn't know this book was a part of a series so I will need to go back and read the others. Darcy and her whole family are wanted for several murders, the whole family is in the medical field. Darcy is on the run and is also trying to remember past events by revisiting her previous college. She has some memory lost due to an accident. Her mother, father and sister are on the run and stumble into these abandoned cabins. When they arrive Pippa tells her parents they are not alone but no one believes her. The next day a man has been spotted and he is not who he says he is.

Daniel Hurst returns with his popular Nurse Series, which follows The Nurse's Lie #2 and The Perfect Nurse #1 with #3, THE NURSE'S MISTAKE.

In the third installment, the story takes an intense, wild, twisty, entertaining ride with the two sisters, both nurses, on the run. Their profession and family ties add intrigue and complexity to the narrative, unexpectedly influencing their actions and decisions.

Will one moment destroy her life forever?

About...

Picking up from the last two books in Chicago with two sisters (nurses) with nowhere to run. Will this be the end?

The author takes us back two weeks, and Darcy is on a bus, looking over her shoulders, afraid the cops are after her. Is she a killer nurse? Was it self-defense?

Darcy's secrets are putting her life and her family at risk. She must protect them, but she is now on the run and the cops are after the Nurse serial killer.

Pippa, her husband, Kark, and four-year-old son, Campbell, and their parents are headed to cabins in a park in Minnesota, a five-hour drive from Chicago, where they left their lives behind. They are also on the run.

Darcy is using her notebook to try to trigger her memory. She ignored the warnings in Florida and is now on her way to Chicago.

Told from the point of view of Darcy and Pippa, the story keeps you on the edge of your seat, wondering how this saga will turn out. With a reward offered by the Chicago PD for her capture, the stakes are high. Darcy must find her family before it's too late.

My thoughts...

THE NURSE'S MISTAKE is another fast-paced, twisty domestic thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It showcases the intense fear and anxieties of two sisters and a family on the run separately. The story delves into the consequences of past actions and mistakes and the lengths one goes to protect those one loves.

Daniel Hurst keeps the suspense at a high level, exploring the emotions, accountability, struggles, moral dilemmas, guilt, and regret, making the reader deeply engaged in the characters' decisions.

From co-conspirators to victims of circumstances and a family dragged along for the ride by their criminal member, this story vividly shows how good people sometimes do bad things to protect themselves and their families, a theme that will deeply resonate with readers.

Recs...

THE NURSE'S MISTAKE is for fans of the author and readers who enjoy entertaining popcorn thrillers. Fans who enjoy books by K.L. Slater and Freida McFadden will be drawn to the series.

Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for an advanced review copy for an honest opinion.

From what I gathered, I believe this will be the last book of Daniel Hurst’s Nurse series. I loved the first and second books of this series, but this one just didn’t capture me as the others did. Some of what transpired was a bit out there and far fetched. I will never stop reading Hurst’s books, I just don’t think this was his greatest work.

That’s to Netgally and Bookoture for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

The Nurses Mistake by Daniel Hurst is the Third in the Perfect Nurse series and a powerful retrospective to what is a tightly woven series. The storyline is fast paced, dark and dives deeply into the psyche of the main characters. A great introduction to the series

Thank you to Bookouture, NetGalley and Daniel Hurst for this ARC. My review is left voluntarily and all opinions are my own

3⭐️⭐️⭐️

✨ 3rd book of the perfect nurse series
✨ multi povs

✨ I have loved the first two book, as it focus on the two sisters and how to find there way out.
This book was a let down. Unfortunately ☹️
I think it’s good to end the series on the book 2.

This book only consist of Darcy going to places and just remember things here and there. Just popping out and stand for herself at the end.
I mean,, all of those hiding and just all of a sudden bang!! Come out in a full of festivities for nurses and just be known.

Peppy on the other hand met a random guy in the forest who’s hiding aswell from a murder mystery.
Random story again just to drag the story that doesn’t connect on the book.

Anyway, I love love Daniel hurst styling but I think it’s good to end the series in just 2 books.

✨Thankyou @bookouture for the opportunity to read this book for a honest review.

The Nurse’s Mistake is the third installment in The Perfect Nurse series. Darcy Miller is back along with her sister Pippa, her parents and extended family. She continues to try to move on from things that have happened in her past. But even though Darcy and her family mean well, things often go awry.

I’ve enjoyed this series, but it’s definitely a bit off the rails. The storyline can be nutty and far-fetched, but also amusing because of the action, adventures, mishaps and craziness. It would make an entertaining tv movie or mini series. If you enjoyed the first two books in the series, then this is a great read for you. 3.5 stars! Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the digital ARC.

This is the third book in this series and when I went into this I had not read the previous books however I found myself sucked into this so quick that I was unable to put this down. The characters have obvious got some history which I don't know anything about as not reading the previous books, I will be going back and reading them to get a full rounded character - this has not detracted me from getting to know the characters.

The Nurse's Mistake is the third in Hurst's Perfect Nurse series and is my favourite of the series to date.

It picks up immediately from where
we left The Nurse's Lie and continues with the story being narrated from the POV of sisters Darcy and Pippa.

Very much a character driven read that's fast paced, twisty and everything I've come to expect from a book by Hurst.

I’ve only read a few Daniel Hurst books. I wish I had read the first two in this series. I could follow without it. Sometimes I just felt a little it out of the loop. I’d go back and read those first. I’m going to go back and read them now. It’s the family. I want to read about this family. It took me out of the story when the characters who are supposedly from Chicago speak in British terms consistently with no on noticing.

This is another enjoyable book, sequel to The Nurse's Lie.
It's a quick read, and full of action. The nurse, and her entire family are wrapped up in a mess of murders, while the police are on the hunt for the " killer nurse"!
It's engaging and leaves an ending that prepares us for the possibility of another follow up book!
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to read and honestly review this book

I have yet to read a book written by Daniel Hurst that I have not loved & the streak continues with The Nurse's Mistake, another brilliant read.

The Nurse's Mistake is the third & final instalment in the authors' The Perfect Nurse series, and it is the perfect ending to a fantastic series. This is a dual POV read, always a favourite for me, with sisters Darcy & Pippa narrating while both now on the run, separately. Once again I was drawn straight into the story from the first page, heading on a whirlwind, edge of my seat journey full of tension, suspense & drama, but it was the heavy emotional aspect that really added depth to this story, the focus on loyalty, trust & sacrifices the characters are willing to make to protect their family & loved ones just brought this psychological thriller to another level.

An incredibly well written book that I really struggled to put down but also didn't want to end, but what an ending it was.

A must-read for fans of psychological thrillers/ thrillers and if you have yet to read a Hurst book, get on it, you're missing out.

I always love Daniel Hurst's books, so I'm so grateful for the ARC. Darcy and Pippa's journey had me at the edge of my seat in every chapter. I was glued to every page! My heart went out to Darcy. Her intentions were good in that she wanted to find out the truth about her life but there were people who didn't want her to get her memory back. So since her life was threatened she acted in self-defense, which means that the body count kept rising. Such a brave move of her to take the wrap for all the deaths. Kinda sad that the book ended the way it did but it was best for Darcy's family. Loved the book!

BLOG TOUR REVIEW.

Review for 'The Nurse's Mistake' by Daniel Hurst.

Well done Daniel on yet another absolutely heart racing and page turning psychological thriller!!!

AN ABSOLUTELY ADDICTIVE, GRIPPING, UNPUTDOWNABLE HEART RACING AND EXPLOSIVE BOOK THAT WILL KEEP YOU UP LATE AT NIGHT UNTIL YOU TURN THE LAST PAGE!!

Wow!!! This book is fantastically written and had me hook, line and sinker from beginning to end. The descriptions were so in depth and vivid that the hair on my arms was standing on the ends and my heart was pounding throughout. The synopsis, title and cover were perfect for the storyline.

Another HUGE success by the extremely talented Daniel Hurst!! Daniel is one of those extremely talented authors who has written so many books but yet each one I have read has been just as gripping, unique and explosive as the next!! How he does it I have no idea but whatever you are doing Daniel, keep doing it!!! I absolutely loved this unique page turning explosive page turner. I was absolutely absorbed throughout this psychological thriller. It is filled with tension, drama, family, suspense, lies, deceit, secrets, dilemmas and omg the twist!!! I DID NOT see the twists coming at all and there were more than one!!! Just when I think everything had been worked out and things were settling down BOOM there was another bombshell!! A MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS Daniel!! It is getting harder and harder to shock me but by God you did that over and over and over!!! What an ending!!! One of the most gripping unputdownable nerve wracking psychological thrillers I have EVER read!!! You have one hell of a talent and I cannot wait to get hold of the first book in this series which is called 'The Perfect Nurse'. I am not normally a massive fan of reading books out of order when it comes to book series' but as I had already read the second book in this series which is called 'The Nurse's Lie', well I just had to read this book even though I have yet had time to go back to the first book. There is a positive about starting a book later in the series is that while you are waiting for the next book to come out you can go back and read the ones you have missed!! I cannot remember the last time I was so hooked by a book but you managed that big time!!! I loved that the book is told from different perspectives and each of their stories/chapters were perfectly weaved together to show us everything that is going on and how each of the characters are thinking and feeling throughout. The storyline is filled with shocks, suspense, tension, deceit, and everything you could ask for in a psychological thriller!!. There was so much going on and it was very fast paced and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. The surrounding atmosphere was absolutely perfect and the narrative ensures you are completely absorbed into the storyline with the characters coming to life all around you thanks to Daniel's evocative writing skills. If you are ever in a reading slump then any of Daniel's books are guaranteed to pull you out of it!!!! I lost count how many times I had funny looks shouting out don't do it as I was walking on the school run listening to this amazing book!! If you want to know more about this absolutely fantastic and gripping read then grab your copy today!!!! This book is absolutely addictive and I read it in one sitting. I absolutely loved the cliff hanging explosive twist at the end that leaves you wanting more! It kept me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails with my heart absolutely pounding throughout especially at the end! I really am looking forward to the next book by this extremely talented author. A gripping, all consuming addictive page turner!!!

Although this is the third book in the series I had absolutely no problems reading it without reading the first book 'The Perfect Nurse'. Any details or events that have previously happened are mentioned in just the right amount of detail to let a new reader know what has happened and yet not too much to bore a previous reader.

Clear your schedule before you start as I read this in one sitting as I could not put it down!! Practically every chapter ended on a cliff hanger so no way could I put it down!! Absolutely hooked!! I would absolutely love to see this turned into a movie!!!!

The characters were all strong and realistic and thanks to Daniel's absolutely fantastic evocative writing skills they all come to life when you are turning the pages. The main protagonists are Darcy and Pippa who are sisters and we get to see what is going on through both of their perspectives ensuring we get a bigger and better feel for them both. I am definitely looking forward to going back and meeting them from the start in 'The Perfect Nurse'. Some of the characters in this book I could not stand and I questioned several actions of many of them, I found myself screaming through the pages at them on several occasions!! Now, normally when I dislike a character/s I struggle to enjoy the storyline but with Daniel's fantastic writing skills he always manage to put unlikeable characters in such fantastic storylines that you can't help but be addicted to the book regardless of how you feel!!! I will stop here as I will give too much away if I say anymore and I really don't want to spoil it for future readers so I wont say anything else and let other readers make their own minds up about how they feel about the characters.. Regardless of whether you love or hate the characters they all worked perfectly together to make this an addictive and explosive storyline!!

This is exactly why you are one of my favourite male authors Daniel! An absolute must read author!! I cannot wait to read all your previous and future books!! Here's to your next success 🥂

Overall an absolutely heart racing, suspense filled, unputdownable addictive page turner psychological thriller filled with twists with a shocking ending!!

The third book in the nurse series was very fast paced. I havent read the first two books but I’m sure they were good reads. The search is on for a nurse who has killed and is on the run. Her family has also had to flee their home to avoid being arrested for helping her. I thought the premise was good but a few things were very far fetched. The Nurse’s Mistake by Daniel Hurst. 3.5 stars.
