Daniel Hurst has done it again. I really want to know how this author has managed to suck me in with every book that he has wrote. Every single book of his that I have read has had me on the edge of my seat, and was unable to put his books down! He has become one of my "automatic buy" authors.

This is the third book in this series, and it may just be the best one yet. This book made me stay up way too late, and put off too many adult responsibilities just to be able to finish it. In this book, we dig deeper into Darcy's past and how she is able to remember more memories from her past. There are twists and turns that you don't expect or see coming.

If you need a book that you can totally get lost in, be prepared for this one as you won't be able to put it down once you start.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for allowing me the opportunity to read this book before it's publication date. I can't wait to read more of his books!

3⭐️ Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for an advanced copy of The Nurse’s Mistake.

Darcy feels she has made a mess of her life and she has dragged her family into the craziness with her. She is slowly starting to get her memories back and she is hoping to put the pieces together to figure out how she has gotten to this point. She is on the run and the police are closing in on her. Can she right all of her wrongs before it is too late?

This is the third book in the series and I recommend you read the other two books first. This was an okay read for me because some of the events seemed so far fetched that it was hard to imagine. Also I was not a fan of the ending at all.

I must honestly say that Daniel Hurst is an amazing author. This trilogy was wonderful from book one until the final conclusion in book three.
Mr. Hurst kept me entertained and wanting for more. I absolutely recommend his books to anyone loving psychological thrillers.
Thank you to the author and the publisher for an ARC.

WOW The Nurse's Mistake (The Perfect Nurse book 3 of 3) a psychological thrille by Daniel Hurst and finale was absolutely riveting.

Darcy is on the run from the Police and all she has is in her possession is her notebook which is her incentive to be reunited with her family so makes her way back home to Chicago where she may find some clues as to where they are hiding as they too are on the run.

Darcy has flashbacks of her old Professor Wright from her days at Chicago Medical College which leads her to him in order to see if she can garner any information from him which will trigger her memory. Unfortunately Professor Wright is a devil in disguise and has informed the Police of her whearabouts.

As she is on the run through the college Cody who trained with Darcy rescues her but she cannot recall who he is and has to put her life in his hands in order to escape and be reunited with her family.

Darcy's family are hiding out in the woods in abandoned neglected cabins but Pippa her sister feels like they are being watched then she sees a light come on in one of the cabins and she knows that they are not alone as she thought they would be.

Darcy and her family face danger in more ways than one.

The third of the Darcy Miller series 'The Nurse's Mistake' by Daniel Hurst was for me the best of the trio. As a great fan of Daniel Hurst writing, this is the 46th of his books I have read in less than two years I struggled to put the book down and inevitably read it in a day. A brilliant final paragraph that I did not see coming. As I always say the best psychological thrillers leave the final twist right to the end that leaves the reader gasping and wanting more. What is next to follow the doctors and nurses series? Can't wait for the answer.

The Nurse’s Mistake was the best of all three books in the series. I’ve loved all three, but this one definitely kept me wanting to stay up late and read it. It is told from both Darcy and Pippa’s perspectives. We dig deeper into Darcy’s past and she recovers more of her memories. There are a lot of great twists and turns throughout the book and the ending was really good. You won’t want to put this book down, so get ready to stay up late!

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to read this book prior to publication.

Rounded up from 2.5
This book picks up exactly where the previous book left off, with Darcy and her sister, Pippa, their parents, her child and her husband running from the law, Darcy suffering from amnesia.
And here lies my problem. I did read the previous book in the trilogy, but that was months ago, and since I tend to forget everything I read pretty much as soon as I'm done with it (sorry, authors, it has nothing to do with you), when I started reading this one, I spend most of it completely lost. I remember enjoying the first two books in the trilogy, so maybe if I read this one right after I finished the first 2, I'm sure I would've enjoyed it more. I don't know if that's why I had trouble getting into it, but also I felt like the pacing was off. I need my thrillers to be fast paced page turners to thouroughly enjoy them. This one dragged between some action scenes. I've said it before about Daniel Hurst's books, and I'll say it again: the length of the paragraphs in his thrillers is wrong for me. The paragraphs in a fast paced thriller need to be short for me to really feel the rush. But the story really gets you to thinking: how far will you go to protect your loved ones?
I received an advance review copy of this book for free and I'm leaving this review voluntarily.

The Nurse's Mistake is a captivating psychological thriller that plunges readers into the high-stakes world of healthcare, where trust is paramount but can quickly unravel. The story centers around a nurse who becomes embroiled in a dangerous situation after a seemingly minor error leads to catastrophic consequences.
Daniel Hurst skillfully crafts a tense narrative that keeps you hooked from the start. The characters are well-developed, particularly the nurse, whose internal struggles and moral dilemmas resonate deeply. As the plot unfolds, Hurst masterfully builds suspense, revealing the complexities of the medical profession and the ramifications of mistakes in such a critical environment.
The pacing is spot-on, with enough twists and turns to keep you guessing. I appreciated how the author explored themes of guilt, accountability, and the fragility of human life, which adds an emotional layer to the thriller elements.
Overall, The Nurse's Mistake is an engaging and thought-provoking read that highlights the pressures faced by healthcare professionals. It’s perfect for fans of psychological thrillers who enjoy a blend of suspense and moral complexity. Hurst delivers a gripping story that will leave you questioning the fine line between right and wrong.

I wish I had read the other two books before reading this one. I liked the story and the characters but I felt there were a lot of missing pieces that probably would have been clarified in the earlier books. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher this ARC book. This review is my honest opinion.

This is book 3 in the Nurses trilogy. It could work as a stand alone but I feel you get so much more out of it if you read all the books. This one starts off with Darcy and Pippa both on the run. It alternates between Darcy and Pippa's points of views. These two have a very strong connection and are both trying to protect the family. Darcy and Pippa are both nurses and have been trained to take care of people. Sometimes good people do bad things. How far would you go to protect your loved ones?

Darcy has always dreamed of being a nurse. She has made some mistakes and after her accident has amnesia. She is trying to remember her past and is now getting flashbacks of what happened before.

She is remembering what happened when she was a nursing student. She wants to be able to see justice served. Darcy has a plan to save her family. Sometimes good people do bad things. How far would you go to protect your loved ones?

I like that these are fast paced, action packed thrillers.

This is the best of the 3, in Daniel Hurst’s ‘The Perfect Nurse’ series. I like how Daniel Hurst writes. Two POVs, short, suspenseful chapters, and intrigue kept me flying through the pages. My eyes couldn’t seem to scan the words fast enough. The Nurse’s Mistake can be read as a stand alone but reading the previous 2 instalments makes it so much better.
Thank You to NetGalley, Bookouture, and Daniel Hurst for the opportunity to read and thoroughly enjoy this ARC.

This was such an action/drama/mystery packed ending to the nurse series. I could not put it down once I started reading. It was also a very quick and easy read. Definitely read this if you’ve read the other books in this series!

I’ve read this entire series now and have to say, book three is my favorite. Nonstop action and unexpected twists had me getting through this one in just two days.

It’s not a standalone, as there are several storylines that are woven through all three books in the series so far. Darcy and Pippa are quite the sisterly duo!

Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture, and Daniel Hurst for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion!

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC of The Nurse’s Mistake.

In this thrilling third installment of The Perfect Nurse series, Daniel Hurst delivers yet another heart-pounding and dramatic read that doesn’t disappoint. If you’re new to the series, it’s worth starting with The Perfect Nurse and The Nurse's Lie for the full emotional impact and complex backstory that fuels Darcy and Pippa’s journey.

This time around, Darcy, a nurse suffering from amnesia after a tragic car accident, is in a high-stakes race to return to Chicago and reconnect with her family. Her notebook serves as her sole compass, detailing her family members and the rules meant to keep her safe: "Don’t watch the news" and "Never go home." Unbeknownst to Darcy, her sister Pippa and the rest of the family are hiding out after committing their own desperate acts to protect Darcy’s secret.

Hurst’s writing shines through his portrayal of Darcy and Pippa—two sisters caught in the fallout of one “mistake” after another. The book alternates between their points of view, adding depth and suspense as secrets unravel and the stakes rise. The tension never lets up, pulling readers deeper into the mystery of just how far this family will go to protect one another.

Packed with twists, suspense, and characters you can’t help but root for, The Nurse's Mistake is a must-read for anyone who loves psychological thrillers with a strong emotional core. Daniel Hurst has masterfully crafted a thrilling conclusion to this series, yet it leaves you hoping there’s more to come.

Highly recommended!

I love how each chapter is only one of the characters. I love how the story blends together but is still separated enough to keep you reading so u can find out what happens next! At the end of this book, I feel like there could be another taking place in the prison?!?! Can't wait to read more of your books.

Thank you to @netgalley for the ARC of the 3rd installment to The Perfect Nurse series! First of all, I’d definitely recommend reading the first 2 books in this series before this one. It gives you a backstory and it’s easier to follow along with everything that happens if you read in order. It is a Dual POV by both sisters, Pippa and Darcy and pick up where the last book left off perfectly! This was such a fast paced, thrilling and just all around rollercoaster fun read! The twists and turns just kept me wanting to read! I got through this book so fast and, once again, Daniel Hurst does NOT disappoint!

Daniel Hurst has done it again! Another gripping, thrilling and dramatic book in his "The Perfect Nurse" series. If you have not read the previous books in the series, The Perfect Nurse and The Nurse's Lie, I highly recommend you do so. As with this book, they are addictive, riveting, fun, entertaining and tense page turners! With books in a series, I always like to share if I think the book will work as a stand-alone. I believe readers should read the previous books in this series as there is so much backstory, character development and continuation of plot that needs to be known so that one can fully enjoy and appreciate The Nurse's Mistake. Plus, they are both very fast and fabulous reads!

Darcy has always wanted to be a nurse and as a child she and her sister, Pippa pretended to be nurses to their stuffed animals and dolls. As a nurse, Darcy has made mistakes - some bigger than others. She also suffers from Amnesia because of an accident which affects her interactions and life as well.

The Nurse's Mistake picks up where the previous book left off and we find both Darcy, her sister Pippa, their parents and Pippa's husband and child hiding from the law. Things are tense and they find themselves in dangerous situations. I found this book to be thrilling, exciting, well thought out, dramatic and riveting. I didn't want to put this book down and the action was non-stop, and things kept getting more tense as the book progressed.

What happens when good people do bad things? How far will one go to protect a loved one? What sacrifices will people make for their families? This book examines all those questions and then some! Daniel Hurst does a great job of creating characters that readers care about even when those characters do bad things. He is also skilled at creating tension, dread, danger, and a sense of unease in his books. I found my heart beating a little faster toward the end of the book as things began to come to a close in this book.

Whew! Another thrilling roller coaster ride book from Daniel Hurst!
