Loved My First Book of Camping by Stephanie Puglisi; Jeremy Puglisi. Book says ages 0-4 but I think it skews a little bit towards 4 or even 5 years old. It includes adorable illustrations and is designed with a handle to be carried by kids on the go. Sometimes books for children do not give them enough credit, and I can honestly say this was not the case with this book. They gave kids actual examples of things to do while camping and things they might learn like:
-Different types of camping (log cabins, yurts, tree houses, tent, campers)
-That you can camp anywhere, even in your own backyard
-How to make different shadow puppets with your hands by the campfire
-Step-by-step instructions on how to make s'mores
I would definitely recommend this book for littles and say give it to them young so they can grow with it. Plus they can take it with them any time they camp!
Note: I ESPECIALLY liked the diversity of individuals illustrated in this book. You see children with disabilities, families with just a mom, seniors, individuals with different color skin colors and faiths, truly illustrating what we learn at the book's closing that "camping is for everyone no matter where you're from".

This book is massively too long for a board book. I don’t even find it interesting and entertaining. The idea behind it is to get a kid ready for a hike by naming supplies and everything else but its book tries to do too much at once.

My First Book of Camping is full of color and wonderful illustrations! It showcases different aspects and ways to go camping to young readers.

My First Book of Camping is a simple picture book that gives an overview on camping in little kid friendly terms. It explains how camping can happen in many different locations and in different ways, and gives examples of what people might do while camping. This would be a great intro for younger kiddos.
Thanks to Sourcebooks Kids and NetGalley for an eARC of this book for an honest review.
