This book is a love letter to all of us romance readers, and I cannot recommend it enough.

It’s about hope, family, letting people in and finding your happiness.

It’s a love story you don’t want to miss.

If you like laughing out loud, chuckling while being charmed by a story full of sweetness, swoons and a nice dash of quirk, pick this one up.

I will admit I went into this book with high expectations, and that is often my downfall. The description made me think of a few favorite jaded author books, and luckily Any Trope But You delivered. Margot was instantly likable. I would have gladly read any of her books, including the Happily Never Afters. Forrest was quietly taking care of Margot from their first interaction (which was adorable), and I was done for by the time he carried her down a mountain with both of their packs. Several of my favorite tropes were explored, and some were only made better with the heightened danger of the Alaskan wilderness. Only one bed may not be enough now that I've had only one (one-person!) tent. I will be impatiently waiting to see what Victoria Levine puts out next.

Yesterday morning I checked my email to see @atriabooks sent me an advanced reader copy of a romance book that I hadn’t heard of yet called ‘Any Trope But You’ by Victoria Lavine and since I was between books, and it looked freaking phenomenal, I decided to start it immediately. Y’all. Every moment of down time was devoted to this book. When I’m saying it is an instant 5⭐️ read, I am not exaggerating. The way Victoria wrote this book and these characters… it really made it seem like these were real live people, in a real live place, going through real live issues. It was all just so tangible and entertaining and raw.. it was perfect and I’m SO grateful for the opportunity to read it! It was the perfect blend of enemies to lovers, one bed, snowed in, forced proximity, cinnamon roll hero, plus other smaller micro tropes (like, being good with power tools AND knows how to cook, plus is also a doctor?). 10/10 would recommend.

Any Trope But You is officially released to the world on April 1, 2025 (no, I promise that’s not an April Fool’s joke) but is currently live on @NetGalley right now if you want to try and request it! I promise you won’t be disappointed 😘

This was wonderful! A lovely tribute to romance novels and a variety of tropes. The setting in Alaska was vividly portrayed and somehow felt cozy despite how freezing the temps were.

Margot and Forrest have oodles of chemistry and it was a delight to witness their interactions and relationship development. They are both dealing with their own professional and personal woes and it was easy to root for their happiness (as individuals and as a couple).

I am excited to read whatever the author writes next - what a charming debut!

Thank you very much to Atria and NetGalley for the opportunity to read a copy.

Thanks to NetGalley, Simon & Schuster, and Victoria Lavine for an ARC of Any Trope but You. An adorable, trope-laden romcom that is perfect for fans of Meghan Quinn! Margot is forced into a 6-week writing retreat by her sister, where her meet-cute with Forrest sparks a chain reaction of romance tropes that feel like there's a behind-the-scenes producer masterminding their interactions. This was sweet and fun, and I quickly flew through the banter and budding relationship between Margot and Forrest.

This was as fantastic as I hoped it would be. Margot and Forrest (LOVE THOSE NAMES) are just to die for and I’m looking forward to whatever else comes from Victoria Levine.
