This was an easy read that had romance, mystery, action, & over the top drama. It had dual POV between Gwen & Jenny relationship with their love interest. I know the story is mostly focused on Gwen & Caleb, but at times their relationship seemed over the top and cliche. I would of preferred more of Jenny & Dean’s story. What pulled me in their story was their banter, the build up to their relationship and the classic trope of enemies to lovers. I, also, liked Christmas taking place in NYC, I wish more of that would have been told. Overall, it was an easy read, with too much spice for my liking.

Thank you to Dr. Melissa Dymond and NetGalley for this ARC to give an honest review.

Tis the season for a little holiday arc!
I don’t usually read romance books, but I always get tempted to give them another chance every time christmas comes around, and this ended up being the first one I have finished in years. It had loads of lovely christmas elements sprinkled throughout the book, as well as mystery and suspense.

I did unfortunately have a hard time really connecting to any of the characters, or feeling really invested in the plot, but it was a quick read, with loads of little festive details! It would probably be a better read if you’re more into romance books than I am, but I have to give them a try every now and then!

What you can expect:
Holiday vibes
Wedding planning
Enemies to lovers and forced proximity
A little casual stalking to get you in the christmas spirit perhaps?
Oh no, the enemies gets snowed in by a blizzard, that can’t possibly end well… 👀

This book had a lot of twists which were unexpected based on the cover which added a unique twist on the story as we follow Gwen and her celebrity fiance. Dean and Jenny ALSO deserve their own book as their chemistry I craved more of. Everything that is crushed into the last 15% of the book confused me because it could have been more drawn out for me personally.

Thoroughly enjoyed this sequel to Holiday Star. Such a good read, loved the different POVs, the drama, the angst, the suspense, and of course, the romance. Highly recommend reading Holiday Star first for most enjoyment!

I received an advanced copy of this book and am leaving this honest review voluntarily.

This book thoroughly caught my attention and exceeded all expectations. I was expecting a cozy Christmas romance, but was pleasantly surprised by the action and thriller aspects. This book is full of my favorite tropes, and in my opinion, the perfect amount of spice. There is also a kisses-only version offered, for those who prefer that.

I absolutely LOVED this book!

Was the perfect pick me up after being in such a slump with my reading!

The spice! The story! The banter!

I mean who doesn't love a force proximity, enemies-to-lovers, one bed, grumpy x sunshine and I mean throw in a bit of suspense, and you have the perfect book!

Also - this book is available in two different versions, so if spice isn't your thing there is a closed-door version, it's really a win-win for everyone!

Would recommend this to everyone and can't wait to read more by this author!

I absolutely adored this book! I loved all the characters! (Dean and Jenny are my favorite)

The story was fantasrtic! The twists were great! The spice was top notch! I would definitely re-read and recommend this one!! I cannot wait to see how the next books go! 10/10 for me! It kept me intrigued and on the edge of my seat the whole time!!

The Holiday Wedding is a dual POV (Gwen and Jenny), and while predominantly a swoony romance, the story has an overarching mystery and a high stakes climax with characters who were memorable and relatable. Loved the multi love connections in this book! It was well-written and engaging from beginning to end.

Also worth noting, this book is offered in two versions: a spicy/open-door version, and a sweet closed-door one with no language and only kissing. I love that everyone can enjoy it according to your taste and style! Massive bonus points to the author for this feat!

4.5 ⭐️ overall.
Read if you like enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, grumpy x sunshine, one bed, found family, and thrilling suspense.

I did not like the way the book started. It even got me scared thinking "what did I get myself into?". But I have to say, my first impression was wrong.

This was such a fun read. I enjoyed reading all the characters' stories and the book is really cute! It's a great read for the holidays, full of romance as well as mystery and suspense. It's fast paced and easy to read.

There are bonus chapters which were really nice. I think they gave the book a nice touch, it kind of made it more interactive (you could request them by subscribing to the author's newsletter).

Although I read the spicy version, the author has another version which involves only kissing and such, which I think is really nice and thoughtful.

This was a cute little holiday read, but I don't think I would find myself recommending it. I had to put it down for a while before I reached for it again. It just didn't keep me interested.

What a fun holiday read! A wedding with mystery, suspense, two romances and spice all rolled into one. My first Melissa Dymond read and I’m looking forward to more.

Cute holiday read, with some surprise suspense!

This is my second book by Dr. Melissa Dymond and I love her strong, successful, ambitious female leads! This read is a great book to read cuddled up on the couch with a hot toddy or hot chocolate! Parts are a little cheesy, but what holiday romance isn’t?

Looking forward to next year and the next book in this series!

While this was eventually an enjoyable read for me, it was a slow start. I had to walk away from the book for a bit as I was not connecting with the characters, and I find that is sometimes helpful. When I came back, the pace picked up and so did the story. While there were a lot of logistics to track, it was a heartwarming read that I would recommend. The chemistry between the main characters is definitely steamy and fun to watch! I’ll pick up more of Dymond’s books in the future.

This was such a fun spin on a cute holiday romcom. The added suspense of there being a stalker amongst the wedding planning... Such a fun twist. That sounds wrong, but you get it.

This was a really well done dual POV between Jenny and Gwen. The issues that were being dealt with in the book were handled so well and honestly her characters felt real. Melissa did a great job of making them relatable and flawed at the same time.

When I started the book I thought it was going to be centered around Caleb and Gwen getting married. But I quickly started to realize I was enjoying Jenny and Dean's chapters more. Their banter was too good. Also, this meant we got two love stories in one book. Yes... Please... I also love that Melissa wrote two versions of this book so that everyone can enjoy the level of spice without having to skip anything or be uncomfortable. As someone who loves spicy books, I went with the full spice version... But for those who prefer a closed door read without having to skip chapters, having a second option I thought was really fantastic.

Holiday Wedding follows the POV of both Gwen and Jenny. Gwen is getting married in a week to Caleb, a famous musician. During the wedding planning it becomes clear that Caleb has a stalker that is now quickly becoming danger. Jenny, Gwen's best friend and celebrity writer, and Dean, Caleb's bodyguard, end up having to work together (while simultaneously hating each other) to make sure this wedding goes off without a hitch. Can they get these two down the aisle without killing each other first?

Thank you to Dr. Melissa Dymond, Victory Editing, and Netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/ 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Melissa gives us such a great continuation of Gwen and Caleb in this book! Just as the first book in this series we receive holiday vibes, romance galore, heartwarming storylines (yes, two!), and a spicy and sweet version, so every reader can enjoy their perfect level of spice. I will admit you don’t necessarily need to read book 1, but to fully appreciate the relationship between Gwen and Caleb, I highly recommend it! Some of the nuances can be missed without reading book 1.

Gwen and Caleb are preparing for their wedding, which is such a joy to see after their start in book 1. Like most couples, they don’t want to stress each other out any more, so there are things they keep it to themselves. What they never expect is a blizzard to suddenly be on the way. I loved how they continued to learn how to lean on each other in this book. Even though they are steps away from their happy ending, they realize there is more they need to master together. They remind us that a happily ever after still takes work and trust.

Melissa gives us a bonus story while Gwen and Caleb prepare for their wedding. I absolutely adored getting to know Jenny and Dean. These two have gone through so much on their own, but together they are just what the other needs. The way these two encouraged each other was heartwarming. Melissa does a great job taking these two from frenemies too much more, with a storyline that complimented the other perfectly. They built on one another rather than competed for the book's attention. I really hope to get more of them in another story.

Melissa puts so much heart into her stories and makes sure they are exactly what her readers want. She takes time to ensure the book speaks on its own along with the voice she writes in. The other thing I can’t get enough of is the relationship that Melissa curates with her readers. She interacts with them, truly listens to their take on her books, so raving about them is so easy. And they deserve to be raved about. I hope you take time to read this sweet, holiday romance and see what is so special about Melissa’s stories.

As always, review any author notes before reading.

Well, that started fast … 😉 BUT didn’t continue fast, which to be honest, I kind of liked. It wasn’t a story full of smut; it was a lovely mix of holiday cheer, tension, romance, mystery/suspense, and a second love story all in one book.

Gwen (doctor) and Caleb (movie star): Main story, madly in love, about to walk down the aisle on Christmas Eve, what could go wrong?? Lol

Jenny (Gwen’s best friend) and Dean (Caleb’s bodyguard): Side story, (dare I say superior story?? Whaaaaat, I’m sorry, get it Jenny!), a bit of an enemies-to-lovers trope with these two; I’m so here for it. I’m hoping Melissa continues the series and writes a third book about their relationship.

Also, on the topic of how this book is part of a series:
You don’t need to read book one to understand book two, which is an added plus (however, I did love book one as well). BUT for those who don’t like to read series, it’s nice knowing you don’t need to read another book to keep up.

Okay, and let’s talk about how sweet Melissa is to offer this book in two different versions for her readers (of course I read the spicy version, hehe):

1) A spicy/open-door version
-and-
2) A sweet/clean/closed-door version

A lovely book to read all throughout the year, but and added touch reading it during the holiday months. 🎄🎅🏼

Holiday Wedding by Melissa Dymond

Rating: 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 2/5 🌶️🌶️

Thank you to the author, publisher, and Netgalley for access to this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

This was a super fun, entertaining holiday read that is perfect for the season! Holiday Wedding features multiple POVs from several characters which works really well to immerse yourself in the story. I loved the combination of romance, holiday cheer, and suspense as it really made it even more interesting and enjoyable.

While this book is a sequel to Holiday Star, it can certainly be read as a standalone. This is a wonderful holiday story that follows Gwen, a doctor and the soon-to-be-wife of actor Caleb, through love and planning a wedding along with the risks of becoming famous. Also, this story follows Jenny, a journalist and Gwen’s best friend, as she finds herself and finds love with Dean. A double love story, featuring both Gwen/Caleb and Jenny/Dean, the author does a fantastic job at perfectly capturing various storylines and each character’s own journey.

Full of heart, romance, suspense, and spice in a wonderfully festive setting, Holiday Wedding will give you all the feels!

Tropes:

An adorable holiday romance with a little spice and a story that keeps you wanting more. There are multiple point of views that somewhat the me off at first if I want fully paying attention but it be on you and have you different perspectives. Overall cute read.

I unfortunately DNF'd this book at 25%. The synopsis states that it can be read as a standalone, but I feel like I am really missing something by not having read Holiday Star. Being dropped right in a spicy scene with 2 characters I don't know was jarring and I struggled with Gwen's hesitance/resistance to the fame. Jenny apparently has quite the story to tell from the previous book... but I just don't feel like I truly understand that history based on what is written in this book. I would recommend suggesting people read the books in series.

I really wanted to finish to see if I could overcome these issues, but everytime I pick this book up I'm only able to read a page or 2 before I find myself putting it back down.

I really liked this book and getting the story from different point of views. I can’t wait for the next book Holiday Love to come out. I’m just getting into reading and this was probably one of my favorite books so far.
