Thank you to Victory Edit NetGalley Co-op for the ARC of Holiday Wedding in exchange for an honest and independent review.

I was really excited to see another romance novel from Dr. Melissa Dymond. I’ve read Paging Dr. Hart prior to this, and I thought it was such an adorably sweet read that had me totally hooked. While I’m aware that this is the second installment in a series revolving around the same set of characters, this book can absolutely be read as a standalone (as I had not read the first book in this series). The author gives more than enough backstory, without bogging you down and making you feel like you need to stop and reread the first book or you’ll be missing out. I also really enjoyed that this book is offered in two forms: a spicy version (yes please!) and a PG version (no thank you mam-not for me). Regardless, this book appeals to a wide variety of readers.

I love the fact that not only are her books filled with romance and genuine relationships, they also have a tinge of mystery wrapped up in them. That element alone keeps things moving quickly, always making you wonder what will happen next. I also really enjoyed that this particular installment had two love stories in one. Not only do we get Gwen and Caleb’s wedding story, but we also get the introduction of Jenny and Dean (I actually enjoyed this storyline a bit more and their characters were so likable (Gwen and Caleb were a bit too lovey dovey at times for my liking that it almost didn’t seem realistic).

This was a perfect holiday read for you to curl up with in front of a Christmas tree with a cup of hot chocolate in hand. Also make sure to check out Melissa’s other reads if you find yourself enjoying her writing style! You won’t be disappointed.

5 stars! This Holiday romance/suspense book by Dr. Melissa Dymond hits all the right notes. I was immediately drawn to the story and all the characters. I didn't realize it was the second book, but it can easily be read as a standalone. There are two love stories (with a potential third). Gwen and Caleb are in love on the eve of their wedding but face scary difficulties with a stalker. Gwen's best friend Jenny and Caleb's bodyguard Dean find themselves surprisingly compatible and I loved their parts of the book. The story is written from the dual points of view of Gwen and Jenny and it worked perfectly. I hope there is an additional book for Jenny and Dean, they are so adorable!

Overall, I gave the book 5 stars. If you're in the mood for holiday romance with a twist of suspense, read this book! The characters are all great and the pace is medium to fast. The couple's real-life dilemmas are described with such delicate accuracy and the romance is dreamy! All the Christmas cheer is there and will put you in the mood for the Holidays! Thank you to the Publishers for providing this book for review consideration via Net Galley. All opinions are my own.

Holiday Wedding (Spicy version) by Melissa Dymond
Rating: 4.5 stars

I truly enjoyed this followup book to Holiday Star! It even involved a little crime and mystery that needed to be solved which I loved. Caleb and Gwen return to unite in marriage but not without a New York snowstorm, persistent paparazzi, and a kidnapping to put a glitch in their plans. We also welcome two new relationships and a little bundle of joy. I loved how fast paced this book was and it again reminded me how much I want to visit New York at Christmas time one day. I would actually love to see Gwen and Caleb in another book one day as well.

Would I recommend this book? Absolutely.

Tropes:
One bed 🛌
Grumpy ☀️ Sunshine
Enemies to lovers ⚔️
He falls first 🫠
Snowed in ❄️
Forced proximity 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨

Thank you Melissa Dymond and NetGalley for providing me the opportunity to read this title in exchange for an honest opinion. #HolidayWedding #spicyholidayromancewithsuspense #NetGalley

Swoon-worthy!!!!!

First thank you to Net Galley and the publishers for the ARC!

This was a first for me by this author, but not my last. When I started reading this book I didn’t realize it was the second in a series, but it can definitely be a stand alone. The characters are relatable and their relationships enjoyable.

Gwen and Caleb showed a few growing pains as they grew together as a couple heading towards their wedding day. I really felt like it was a realistic take on a true relationship. Couples aren’t always going to agree, and you have to find your new normal as a unit. The ending of this book seriously gave me all the warm fuzzy feelings!

Watching Dean and Jenny’s relationship was the perfect balance to Gwen and Caleb’s unique pre-marital struggles. . I loved the way Dean made sure to let Jenny know just how beautiful she was when she had doubts about her body. And my favorite scene was when he asked for her brothers’ addresses because they used to tease her about her weight when she was younger, and she still struggles with the way she sees herself as an adult because of the teasing. It was also great to see Dean open up to Jenny about his past as a soldier and how that still affects him to this day. Her patience and understanding in that situation was beautiful to see. I am so happy these two found each other and I really loved their story.

Such a cute holiday read and I am excited to read the next in the series!

Holiday Wedding is so unique because you really get two love stories in one book! It was great to see Gwen and Caleb from the first series, and we also get Dean and Jenny. Jenny is Gwen's best friend, and Dean is Caleb's bodyguard. The story is told from dual POV of Gwen and Jenny. It was filled with so much suspension, but it also had great chraracter development too. I loved how everything came together.

Enjoyed many of the characters and plots, but there was just too much going on for me. I did not read the first book, but it didn't feel like I was missing anything.

4 stars. No spoilers. I read the spicy version of this book. There is a closed door version with no spice.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it. Having a continuing love story from a previous book and a new love story with characters from previous books was intriguing. I did not read the previous book and I was able to follow the story just fine so I do not think reading the first book is necessary for this story. However I do plan at some point to go back and read the previous book.

The focus of the book is the upcoming wedding of one couple and interwoven is a bit of a suspense aspect of a stacker adding an additional element that was fun to explore. The second couple is an "enemies to lover" trope with forced proximity included. I really like the two characters who had great chemistry and separate story. I would like to read their developing love story in a separate book as they were so fun.

Multiple barriers get in the way of the planned wedding making for an interesting ride for all the characters. The plot moved along well, the characters were fun and interesting and the ending was satisfying. The wedding taking place at Christmas time added the holiday cheer element. If you want a fun holiday read then check out this book.

The spice in this book is high and so is the drama and the holiday cheer. I loved this book far more than I expected…if you know what I mean. This is a must read.

I attempted to read this book and after reading the first one and it just wasn’t for me. I ended up not loving it which was the same for the first book. These didn’t give me that fun holiday vibe and ended up being very boring.

The book was amazing, the characters , the plotline, the writing everything was phenomenal, I loved every second of it. My favorite character is the bodyguard dude (sorry, forgot his name). The bodyguard and girl's best friend relation/ chemistry was amazing. Their bantering and the hot and cold was so damn amazing. I though the reporter guy was the stalker but when the stalker was revealed I was so shocked... like why? What? How? This book was amazing. I could not put the book down as I started reading it, I was so into the book , I just loved it...

This is a dual POV with enemies to lovers grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity tropes. It is a spicy romance book with a mystery also. This is a good book to kick off your holiday reading. Caleb and Gwen have been through a lot but their wedding is close, less than a month away on Christmas Eve. But life, their stubbornness and independence keeps getting in the way. An unexpected snowstorm strands Gwen across the country and Caleb is keeping a secret, a stalker that is threatening everything. Will they be able to trust each other and figure it out before the wedding? You also get a second love story, Gwen’s best friend Jenny falls for bodyguard Dean who is reluctant to trust the journalist after she’d previously let slip something about Caleb, bringing an enemies to lovers’ trope to the book but they find common ground as they work together to make sure the big day goes smoothly.
This book is a part of a series but there is enough information about the events that occur in the first book that you could treat it as a standalone.
For me the pacing was off in this book. I found the first half really slow and if I didn’t have to review the book I may have been a dnf. The second half of the book picks up. Overall if you are looking for a book to read during the holidays this could be the one. The sex scenes are well done and you do get two love stories in one with an added twist of a mystery.

Thank you to NetGalley and Nerdfam for the digital ARC I received in exchange for an honest review.

What a great mix of holiday wedding romance and suspense. Dual POV is Gwen, the bride to be and her friend Jenny the reporter doing a story on Caleb, Gwen future husband.
Gwen has left Caleb and her family in New York to finalise their wedding arrangements intime for the bid day on Christmas Eve, she's presenting at a convention, proud to have worked on early diagnosis for colon cancer having lost her dad to this terrible decease. She is navigating her own budding career as well as being in the spotlight marrying Caleb.
Caleb shines through but I would have loved to have had more from him in his own POV within the book
Jenny has her own sizzling undercurrent with Caleb's security officer Dean. They both work hard to uncover Caleb's stalker before it gets out of hand.
This book is full of festive fun, romance, spice and suspense. A truly great Christmas read.
Thank you NetGalley, Dr Melissa Dymond and Victory Editing for this ARC, all opinions expressed are my own.
