It is almost wedding day and a blizzard has hit and a stalker in the shadows. Caleb and Gwen just want to get married but with a blizzard and now one of Caleb's stalkers is on the loose it takes all hands on deck to make sure this wedding goes smoothly. Jenny, Gwen's best friend, and Dean, Caleb's bodyguard, team up to try and find the stalker before they can ruin the wedding. This plot had me on my toes and I did not want to put the book down to see who the stalker could be. The banter between Jenny and Dean had me laughing out loud. I love Jenny's sunshine personality and then mix that with Dean's grumpiness just makes it the best recipe for a romance. This was well written and the details helped with envisioning what was happening the entire time. The spice between the characters was perfect!

Book : Holiday wedding ✨
Author : @Marissadymondauthor
Genre : Romance, suspense

So, I just finished Holiday Wedding, and OMG, it was EVERYTHING! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This book isn’t just about one love story but two! You already know about Collab, the super-famous actor/singer, and Gwen, the amazing doctor, from Holiday Star. Their journey continues here as they navigate wedding planning chaos, packed with sweet moments, challenges, and even some life lessons about love and marriage. 💍✨

But the real surprise? Jenny, Gwen’s best friend, and Dean, Collab’s bodyguard, step into the spotlight with their own love story! Watching their relationship grow with enemies to lovers vibes alongside Collab and Gwen’s is such a treat. ❤️ Both love stories mix together beautifully, making you feel all the emotions while keeping you hooked with plenty of drama and suspense. And let’s not forget the stalker situation that will have me stick to pages 😱📱

What I truly loved about this book is that it’s not just a story—it’s packed with meaningful life lessons. It even touches on serious topics like cancer. 🌟 These moments make the book so much more than just a romance—it’s inspiring and thought-provoking too.

The romance scenes are beautifully written, the suspense is on point, and the twists? OMG, you won’t see them coming! 🌀 The language is easy to follow, so it’s the perfect binge read. If you’re looking for a book that gives you love, thrill, friendship, mystery, and life lessons all in one, Holiday Wedding is the perfect pick! 📚✨

Totally loved it! 10/10 would recommend! 💖

**Holiday Wedding by Melissa Dymond**

In this engaging sequel, the heartwarming story of Gwen and Caleb is picked up as they eagerly prepare for their highly anticipated wedding, scheduled during the festive holiday season. As the date draws closer, the couple faces a series of unexpected challenges that test their resolve. Notably, a powerful snowstorm wreaks havoc on travel plans, resulting in Gwen's flight being delayed while she attempts to return to New York. This not only creates stress and tension but also adds an element of urgency to their wedding preparations.

Moreover, the plot thickens with the presence of Caleb's stalker, which introduces a darker, suspenseful twist. This serious undertone skillfully balances the sweet romance that Gwen and Caleb share, keeping readers on their toes as they navigate the joys and fears of impending nuptials.

Despite being the second book in the series, the narrative stands strong on its own. However, I found that certain storylines and character developments might have been more impactful had I read the first book. The author’s decision to utilize dual points of view from both Gwen and Jenny greatly enhances the storytelling. I thoroughly enjoyed delving into both women’s experiences as they tackled personal dilemmas, romantic relationships, and the whirlwind of a chaotic wedding week.

While Gwen and Caleb's journey is undoubtedly captivating, I must confess to being utterly enchanted by the dynamic between Dean and Jenny! Their interactions are filled with sharp banter and palpable tension, showcasing a delightful grumpy-sunshine dynamic. Although they are not romantically involved, the chemistry between them feels electric, with an engaging enemies-to-lovers vibe that leaves readers curious about their future. Their contrasting personalities—Jenny's cheerful optimism and Dean's seemingly grumpy demeanour—make for a fascinating subplot that enriches the overall narrative.

Holiday Wedding is a suspenseful, swoony, spicy romance mystery that comes with the festive and heart-warming atmosphere of the holiday season!

There are two love story you’ll get to follow: Gwen and Caleb as well as Dean and Jenny.
I wasn’t aware this was part of a series, but I’m glad to say I could enjoy this one just fine without reading the 1st book cause the author did a great job providing enough background information so I didn’t feel lost or miss anything.

As much as I love reading about the sweet and lovey dovey moment between Gwen and Caleb as they overcome each obstacles in planning their perfect wedding, I preferred the sizzling enemies-to-lovers romance of the grumpy and moody Dean and the cheerful sunshine Jenny.
I adore their bantering and I really like the part when they’re stuck together due to an unexpected storm, which kinda forces them to bond!

This book comes in two different version, the sweet and spicy version. I got the spicy version and found the spicy scenes well-written and perfectly balanced, not overtaking the main plot.

Overall, it’s an entertaining and enjoyable read! Such a page turner!
If you’re looking for a holiday read with tropes like grumpy x sunshine, forced proximity, enemies-to-lovers, and one bed, then you’ll love this one!

⚠️ 𝐓𝐖: sexual content, kidnapping, pregnancy, stalking, gun violence, panic attacks, PTSD, brief mention of death of a parent

a sweet hallmark book with a little added mystery and angst. i enjoyed having a dual pov with two different romances that overlapped, i thought that was a nice twist on the usual pov, though a part of me wishes that i could have seen things from caleb and deans povs as well. but i felt like even though i hadn't read the first book, i understood gwen and celebs relationship perfectly and works well as a stand alone book

It was good to meet Gwen and Caleb again, and follow where Holiday Star left us. And, even better to add Jenny and Dean to this mix.
In this story we have both FMC perspectives (Gwen and Jenny) and it was quite nice to have this dual POV / interconnected stories.
I loved Jenny from the start. To me she was such a sweet woman with a kind heart and she was not trully appreciated. And therefore her issues of not being worthy. Dean was a grump, but even when his grumpiness was at its high, we could see his kind heart! All those walls were just a protective mechanism.
So, here we have one couple getting readdy for their wedding, and so many things just happen.. we wonder will they make it? And the other getting close to one another in the sweetest way!
It was nice seeing their support system, and all that friendship evolve.
And, of course, the cherry on top was the suspense! I did not see that coming. At all! I loved it!
I can't wait for Helen and Teddy's turn!

Thank you for allowing me to read this arc. I loved every minute of it. I would have liked more jenny and dean time... my favourite couple. So happy they got together.

I thought this was interesting to read. It felt like a mixture of romance and mystery. I thought there was a lot going on and everything just ends abruptly and neatly. I didn't like how he goes off on his fiance and she just takes it?

This book was a fun and suspenseful Like the dual POV and that the book contained story of two couples.

I really enjoyed the storyline in this book. It took a couple of chapters to get used to the change of point of view (One chapter form Jennifer's point of view, the next by Gwen.) Once I got used to actually reading the chapter title (I tend to skip these) It was easier to understand who was telling the story at that point.
I also felt like the book could of ended at several points, but I'd turn the page, and there was another chapter. I did appreciate the extra information in those "extra" chapters though.
Thanks for the story. Good read.

Holiday Wedding is the continuation of the happily ever after in Holiday Star. Gwen and Caleb are getting married! This story follows their trials and tribulations to get to the altar while dodging a stalker, balancing careers, and dealing with stardom during a surprise nor'easter at Christmastime. Can their love truly endure or is it curtains for the happy couple?

I really enjoyed the story because we get TWO storylines in one! Jenny is Gwen’s best friend and she’s got a love/hate relationship with Dean, Caleb’s bodyguard. Jenny made a big mistake in the last book and has been trying to make up for it ever since. Dean’s been secretly enamored with Jenny for years but he’s got some demons of his own and doesn’t want them to touch Jenny. As the two are roped into wedding planning and discovering the identity of the stalker, tensions boil over into an all-out fiery passion that neither one of them are prepared for–but we are!

Everyone is going to need a little patience, a lot of grace, and a Christmas miracle to get through this holiday.

Holiday Wedding has it all - steamy romance, suspense, mystery, surprises, and a whole lot of love. The book can be read as a standalone but I recommend you read Holiday Star to watch Gwen and Caleb’s love story unfold. It’s a joy to watch.

I loved that this was a dual POV between Gwen and Jenny, so you follow two separate couples in their journey! I didn’t read the first book in the series so all the characters were new to me, but I never felt like I was lost in the story without the background that the first book would have given!

I also really enjoyed the stalker storyline—something about a heartwarming Christmas romance combined with a suspense just hit right where I wanted it to!

I read the “spicy” version, and it was 🥵🥵.

The author has also donated 10% of the proceeds for each book she’s written to research for different cancers, and for Holiday Wedding she has chosen colon cancer, which is an amazing cause to give to.

Thanks to NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

3.50

I liked it, I really liked Jenny, Gwen and Caleb were cute as were Jenny and Dean. I really really loved the little presents scattered around the book for us! I love it when author's give us gifts like that.

I will say though I didn't really connect with the story that much. I felt out-of-loop for most of the story because how many references were made to the 1st book. I wasn't aware this was a sequel when I started reading the book, I admit that's my bad, so I felt like I was missing important pieces to the puzzle, and it took me out of enjoying the story sometimes. again it's my fault I didn't search before reading.

4.5 stars!

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC! The author was amazing enough to notice that I prefer closed-door romances and sent me the "sweet version" personally. So my review will reflect the sweet/closed-door version of Holiday Wedding. :)

I loved this book so much! I decided to read Holiday Star first, and I am so glad I did, as it gave important context and I was better able to see the growth of the characters over 2 years of time. I loved Gwen's determination and ferocity(she is indeed "lion-hearted"), and Jenny's cheerful disposition. On the other hand, I love Caleb's unfailing devotion and Dean's silent pining. Both couples grew a ton throughout this novel, and it definitely left me wanting more(I LOVE that Dymond does free "bonus chapters" for her newsletter subscribers :)).

I also appreciated the heightened sense of drama and suspense in this book. Most people would expect this to be a Christmassy, fluffy rom-com about planning a dream wedding, but instead, the reader is faced with an engaged couple who don't know how they're going to successfully blend their very different lives, as well as a seemingly dangerous stalker. But of course, intermixed with the anxiety and anticipation are the sizzling kisses and chemistry from both couples. I am so excited to read more of Dr. Dymond's work! <3

4⭐️ a christmas romance?? with suspense and action?? enemies to lovers?? grumpy x sunshine?? forced proximity??

when i tell you i DEVOURED this book in two days. now did i only realize this was a sequel about halfway into the book? absolutely. i still enjoyed this book so much. usually with christmas romances they can over do it and be too cringy but this was the perfect blend of the cutesy romance and the suspense it was 🤌🤌

i loved both of the couples the book focused on but ESPECIALLY jenny and dean like they are so precious. you hand me a grumpy x sunshine and one of them is a bodyguard? consider me entertained. their dynamic was so cute and i liked seeing both couples evolve at such different stages of this relationships. overall such a cutesy, fun, and action packed romance to start the holiday season!!!

me patiently waiting for the next book to see helen and teddy: 🧍🏻‍♀️🧍🏻‍♀️

This book started off with a bang (pun intended!).

I’ve read hundreds of romance books and this is the first book I’ve read with a split first person POV between two main characters that are not the FMC and MMC. I loved that I got to see two love stories within the same book.

Jenny’s chapters were my favorite. The heated angst between Jenny and Dean was palpable. (The one bed scene- OMG!)

The author did a great job making the characters in this book feel real. I could feel their emotions throughout the entirety of the story.

A solid 4.5/5

My first time reading this author and I really enjoyed this holiday story.

Gwen and Caleb are preparing for a Christmas Eve wedding but a blizzard to New York puts a damper on plans. As well as a stalker that Caleb has tried to keep hidden from Gwen so she's not worried. Jenny is a friend to both of them and is reporting on Caleb's fame in hopes to gain a better spot at her job. She pairs up with Caleb's body guard to help find the stalker and their own romance blooms.

I didn't think I would enjoy the dual POV with kind of two different story lines in a sense, but she made it flow so well and I was able to keep up and added a fun element to the book. I really enjoyed the suspense aspect here, I was guessing the whole time who was going to be the bad guy. If you are looking for a suspenseful holiday book that isn't your typical Hallmark romance, then you will definitely enjoy this book.

Thank you Netgalley for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review!
