"Is This Seat Taken" looks at some notable (and less familiar) individuals whose best season of life started after the age of 55. I found the stories to be engaging and insightful and really enjoyed reading this book.
I will say, I'm confused by having three books of the same title all by the same author. But I enjoyed this edition of the trilogy enough to take a chance on another installment to see if it's similar.
If you enjoy empowering stories of people in the second half of life who find their calling when others are anticipating their final curtain, you'll want to check out this book.
Thank you to Kristin S. Kaufman, Greenleaf and NetGalley for an advance review copy.
Thank you for the Chance to read Is This Seat Taken. I was unable to completely finish this book. Many stories I had already heard and I felt as there was no new original information.
However, it was written well which is why I gave the three stars.
What a lovely book that is so well written. I enjoyed how the book is broken into chapters that emphasizes a person who. has found a new lot in life. I was blown away with how many people reinvented themselves later in life and many not on purpose but most now are making a huge difference in the world.. What a right on time book this one is and what an uplifting book. I read this in one seating but could see it be used as a chapter here or there for someone who needed to hear how to start over. The world needs more uplifting books like this one and I think it is very well done. I look forward to getting a physical copy of this one for a few friends who are in their second part of their life and looking to reinvent themselves.
