I LOVE FINLAY DONOVAN!!!! this was amazing, as expected. I love this series so much and I am so happy to have been able to read it early!!

As always Finlay Donovan is a fun ride!. This one wasn't as off the rails like previous ones but I still loved it. I can never get enough of these books and I can't wait for March 4th when I can physically add this to my Finlay collection.

The last book was too far fetched for me and I skimmed as much as I read. After I finished I decided that, even with the cliff hanger ending, I was done with Finlay ... or so I thought. I was given an ARC for book 5 and I knew I was going to read it even though I said I wasn't. Book Five was a lot more enjoyable, closer to the earlier books in the series, the antics were still over the top, but at this point if they weren't it wouldn't be Finlay! If you've enjoyed the other books so far, I believe the next installment will be a fun read for you. In Cosimano fashion, the cliff hanger at the end has me curious what's going to happen in the next book!

ARC review:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Finlay Donovan Digs Her Own Grave by Elle Cosimano
Finlay and Vero have to help find the murderer of the body found in their neighbor’s, Mrs. Haggerty, back yard. With Mrs. Haggerty’s name cleared, and her busybody tendencies well known, nobody is safe from suspicion.
What a wonderful addition to one of my favorite series! We get the classic Finlay and Vero antics, and all the humor we come to expect from these books. What I didn’t expect was to cry! The character growth and relationship growth showed much more vulnerability and I loved it! These silly murder mysteries will always be an auto buy for me. Don’t miss this one on March 4th,2025!
Thank you @ellecosimano, #netgalley, and Minotaur books for the opportunity to read this arc.

Another Finlay book by Elle Cosimano. Excellent return to the hilarious world of Finlay. I just love these characters and the adventures they get into. Fun mystery police procedural with a bit of romance. Start at the beginning if you have not read this series yet to enjoy the ever-evolving story.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an advance copy. All opinions are my own.

Finlay Donovan has only gotten better. I've been waiting for the nosy neighbor to get even more involved, and it's coming at the perfect time. This makes for a perfect summer read!

After being disappointed by Books 3 and 4 in the series, I was pleased to see Finlay Donovan Digs Her Own Grave return to the root of what I love so much about this series. The main focus is back on Finlay and Vero trying to solve a crime that Steven has been accused of committing. Add in fun side characters Mrs. Heggerty and Cam plus romantic developments with Nick and you have a recipe for a fun Finlay Donovan story. And the end left me wanting the next book to come out now. I can’t wait to see what Finlay and Vero get up to next!

I loved this book! Elle Cosimano can do no wrong for me regarding Finlay Donovan. I love how it has a little bit of everything from comedy, romance to thriller and suspense. I can’t wait for the next book!

Finlay Donovan Digs Her Own Grave is the 5th novel in the Finlay Donovan series. Five books in and Finlay and Vero just can't keep away from trouble.
I live for this series, it's hilarious, the characters are great and the crime aspect just keeps getting better as the series progresses.
I had a hard time putting this book down, it was so entertaining I pretty much binged it in one sitting.

Thank you Netgalley and Minotaur books for this ARC.

I love Finlay Donovan. I really liked this installment in the ongoing Finlay saga. If fact, I like this book better than some of the others and am looking forward to the next book!

"Tell Me What You Did" by Carter Wilson is a masterfully crafted psychological thriller that grips you from the very first page and doesn't let go. The novel centers on Poe Webb, a true-crime podcaster who invites anonymous confessions from her guests. The narrative takes a chilling turn when a man appears on her show, claiming to be her mother's murderer—a crime Poe believes she has already avenged herself.
Wilson's writing is sharp and incisive, creating a tense atmosphere that builds steadily as the plot unfolds. The dual timelines and multiple perspectives add depth to the characters, making their motivations and vulnerabilities palpable. The portrayal of Poe as a complex and flawed protagonist is both realistic and compelling, offering a fresh take on the thriller genre.
The pacing is impeccable, with each chapter revealing new secrets that keep the reader on edge. The intricate plot is tightly woven, leading to a climax that is both shocking and satisfying. Wilson's exploration of the dark side of love and revenge is unrelenting, making this novel a standout in its genre.
In conclusion, "Tell Me What You Did" is a twisty, unrelenting gem that will captivate fans of psychological thrillers. Wilson's latest offering is a testament to his storytelling prowess, delivering a richly satisfying read that lingers long after the final page. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking a gripping and thought-provoking mystery.

A return to the Finlay Donovan I love. This is my new favorite book in the series. Filled with more quirky misadventures, secretive neighbors and of course hot cop Nick, what isn’t there to love?!

I really enjoyed this book. It kept me engaged and it only took a few days to read. I think this is going to be a good book club option for several clubs. I plan recommending to my book friends and I look forward to reading more by this author.

I am in love with the Finlay Donovan series- I never want it to end!
In the fifth book in the series, Finlay and her ride or die Vero have another mystery to solve when a dead body is unearthed in her nosey neighbor's yard. Let the shenanigans begin!
I appreciate that the author gives some refreshers on what happened in the prior books, so it makes it easy to get into the story. I enjoy the humor in this story. I love the banter between all of the characters, especially Finlay and Vero. The plot moves quickly, so I never find myself bored. I really like that there is also a little love story mixed in.
This book, and series are amazing, and I love recommending it!
Thank you to St. Martin's Press for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

My God do I love this series! This is the 5th installment of one of the funniest but the most anxiety producing mystery/drama/thriller series I have ever read. I loved it just as much as the rest.
•
First, let’s start off with how funny this book is. There were countless times throughout this story that I audibly laughed out loud at the banter between characters. Speaking of characters, Finlay and Vero are absolute queens. I love the two of them so much, I wish I could be friends with them in real life. The other characters are also incredible and make this series what it is.

I had no idea how Elle Cosimano would continue this, I couldn’t figure out what possibly Finlay and Vero could possibly get into this time, but she basically was like “hold my beer” and came up with a fantastic storyline that honestly may be my new favorite. There were times throughout this where I wasn’t sure how Finlay could possible get herself out of the mess she was in. I absolutely LOVED where she went with this one. It was perfect. This is most definitely a must read!!

I listened to this one on audio and Angela Dawe is the best Finlay ever. I cannot think of a better narrator for this series. If you want to check this one out - be sure to pick up the audio!!

Huge thank you to NetGalley, Elle Cosimano, St. Martin’s Press and Macmillan Audio for the eARC and ALC in exchange for my honest review.

The latest installment in the Finlay Donovan may have been my favorite one yet. I love following Finlay and Vero’s antics and getting to know their world more and more. It was fun to learn more about Mrs. Haggerty in this book… but I still think there’s more for us to discover! This series is my favorite comfort read. Please never stop writing these!

Saying that as soon as I get done with these audiobooks that I NEED the next one is an understatement. The combo of Elle Cosimano's writing and Angela Dawe's narration is truly a match made in heaven. These audio books are the best i have ever listened to do and they are always my most anticipated new releases of the year. In this 5th installment of the Finlay Donovan series, there is no shortage of hijinks, clever banter, action and murder.
I have gotten so used to these characters, I feel sad when I have finished the book. I hate having to wait a whole year to catch up with them again. I look forward to these books every year and I really hope that both Ell and Angela continue with the books and audiobook narration of this series for a long time.

I have come to understand that this series is not for me. I'm not a fan of Finlay, her ex- husband or her life. I did not find her funny or witty. Her and her behavior worked my last nerve.

Another fun fomp in the chairs of Finley Donovan's life. A body has been discovered, and it turns out the most likely suspect is Finlay's ex husband..can she prove his innocence, while also keeping her sanity¿

As a Jenny-come-lately to the Finlay Donovan series, I quickly witnessed its appeal in book number five. There’s found family. There’s a mystery. There’s romance. There’s self-deprecating humor. There’s a heartwarming glow to it all.
Initially, Donovan didn’t win me over. She lets Ms Haggerty move into her house and take over her bedroom. Her kids are misbehaved. Her life feels chaotic and she lacks boundaries. But there’s something addictive about her friendship with Vero and her bonus mom relationship with Cam.
And while some of the narrative events feel a little too convenient, that is also their appeal. While so much goes wrong for Donovan, enough goes right for her to feel powerful where we need her to be.
Author, Elle Cosimand, takes it easy on the new reader by providing ample context and recap from the prior Finlay Donovan books. The reader can start with book five as easily as book one, but other reviewers advocate for a chronological reading of the series.
