The book tells the story of the infamous murder of Lord Erroll in 1940s Kenya. The British get up to all sorts of nonsense and are called the Happy Valley group. They indulge in sex, drugs, affairs, The world is at war, and not much happens to spoil the fund of the Happy Valley group until the murder of Josslyn Hay. Now the group is scrutinized quite closely. Much of the book is taken up by the trial of Jock Delves. If history is your thing, and murder your fun, this could work for you.
