The heart of this book is beautiful and inspirational and welcomed by this almost 42 year old who still has her sights set on having a child. I appreciated a lot of the advice and information, but I do have some apprehension as a Registered Dietitian about all the supplements. I think it’s important to remind people that all supplements should be discussed with your healthcare provider. And not all supplements are created equal as they are not regulated by the FDA. And only one other apprehension is that the evidence is lacking in regards to the “dirty dozen.” It’s been debunked. Other than those two things, I really do appreciate the author’s vulnerability in sharing her story.

I wanted to love this book. And while I am appreciative of the shared story and the hope and inspiration it provides, I wish it had been less religious.

Thank you Netgalley with providing me with an advance copy for free in exchange for my honest feedback.

This was a short and sweet E book. I read it in one sitting and it was easy to read and understand.

The author spent a lot of time talking about her life pre pregnancy and then went to discussing her choice of doctor, pregnancy and post partum. She did talk about her IVF journey in some detail, but I would have liked more details about the actual process of doing IVF.

I liked how the story was personal to her and her journey and difficulties in getting pregnant and having her baby. I feel like she was quite resilient in the face of many set backs and am amazed that she was able to actually get pregnant despite being in menopause. Her hard work paid off and she had a fantastic medical team around her (which was no accident, as she researched thoroughly).

I didn't expect the religious undertones from the blurb of this story, which is not really my cup of tea.

Thank you for sharing your story, and all the best for your family.

My main take away from this book was how inspiring Kia’s story is. She knew what she wanted and went after it and I appreciate that she shared her story. I liked the feeling of hope I had after reading this book. I didn’t necessarily identify with some parts like the religious aspects or some of the medical aspects but it was all part of her story so I tried to keep that in mind. Not my typical read but overall very interesting.
