This was such a heartwarming small town romance! I loved how the story explored the importance of setting boundaries with family, and it also offered a beautiful second chance love story. Both of their exes really got under my skin throughout the book, and Brian’s mom, while well-intentioned, made some questionable choices that left me feeling frustrated. Still, I get that she was trying to be helpful and a good person.
The dynamic with Brian’s ex and Tracey’s family added layers of tragedy and toxicity to the story. Tracey’s determination not to end up like her parents was heartbreaking and really drove her decisions in her previous marriage. But I’m so happy to see her find her own voice, regain her confidence, and realize she deserved someone who truly loved and supported her.
What I loved most about this story was how both Brian and Tracey discovered they were worthy of love, support, and a real partnership. Watching them become that for each other was so beautiful. This was a gorgeous, feel good read, and now I’m eager to dive into the first two books as well!

I thought this was a cute love story where the characters needed a little nudge to get to where they needed to be. Nothing travels faster than a gossip/rumors good or bad.
Sometimes you just have to buckle up for the ride and give them something to talk about.

Frenemies with Benefits is such a great book on realistic difficult situations and the journey through those issues. The MFC (Tracey) is a woman that that has experienced a lot of trauma in her life with trust, self worth and value that has extended from her childhood to adulthood. I love that even with all that she has encountered she finally discovers who how powerful she is in the ability to stand up for what she believes in.
The MMC (Brian) has his own set of baggage. He has the ability to show that a strong man can also have emotions. Something that society doesn’t like to show. He’s main situation is definitely interesting with the twist and turns that arise for it.
Overall, I love the book and the message that it weaves throughout the story.
Spiciness is not bad at all. Not too much or too little. It deems itself necessary in the way that it is written in the book.
