Christmas Eve Love Story by Ginny Baird is a delightful tale with shades of Ground Hog Day and Miracle on 34th Street. On December 24th Annie Jones has a myriad of things befall her before arriving at work as assistant artistic director at Lawson’s Finest in NYC. As Annie sloughs through a trying day she makes the acquaintance of a wonderful new Santa, a handsome security guard Braden Tate who usually works nights, and a terror in the form of twin boys who wreck her display. Although the hectic day ends on a sweet note as she has coffee with Braden, the storm that follows her home and the disaster she thwarts as she arrives home isn’t enough to offset the issues that meet her on arrival at home. Annie settles in for the evening, even filling her cat Leo’s stocking before turning in and looking forward to a relaxing Christmas Day.
Rrrrrring! Annie’s alarm awakens her but it shouldn’t be set. But when she checks her phone she finds that it isn’t Christmas Day after all but a repeat performance of Christmas Eve. Is this a chance to redo a taxing day or being caught on a hamster wheel? Annie will discover the answer as the days to come unfold.
This is such a fun story. Annie is significant as a model for the person at the hub as events and people revolve around in a flurry to arrive at the perfect Christmas Day and the perfect ending! I very much enjoyed this book and I do recommend it!

Christmas Eve Love Story started off strong, but I felt it dragged on too long. I went from excited to listening to it to dreading it because it felt so redundant. The promise is there, but I think it needs to be tightened up a little.

This is a sweet Christmas time loop story. Annie is extremely lonely, especially during christmas. She is a window dresser/designer for a department store hoping to get promoted. Her love interest Braden is an equally lonely security guard at the same store. While the story is sweet and who doesn’t love a good time loop, it does drag at times. I do appreciate how she was able to connect with the other lonely people in her building and really strive to make each repeated day better than the one before. Her positivity is endearing and Annie and Braden together are cute. The audiobook was easy to listen to and I would recommend if you are looking for a cozy holiday story.
Thank you NetGalley, Dreamscape Media, and Ginny Baird for an advanced listening copy of this audiobook.

I really enjoyed the idea of this book. It was a very thoughtful, cute love story. However, while I understand the 12 days of Christmas, it was too long. I felt like it was redundant and dragging. I really wanted to love it, but it seemed to go on forever. The characters were a lovely chaos. Sneaky Santa was a menace. And someone get those dang kids under control! Overall, it's a really sweet story, I just wish there was more substance and less repetition.

I’ve enjoyed the couple Ginny Baird books I have been able to pick up so far. Christmas Eve Love Story is a very unique spin on a Christmas tale bringing in the groundhog day idea of a timeloop, but has enough differences that it has its own special twist.
I really liked the way Baird spun the characters and the looping day, along with the ideas of Santa being a special clue for the pair (Annie and Braden) to watch for in each day’s iteration… and Annie being able to befriend Braden and figure things out with him even without him knowing that she’s looping through the same day.
It’s a great story and definitely a great option for the upcoming holiday season - one you won’t want to miss.
I had the audio version, which was narrated by Emma Faye. She did a really great job, and I quite enjoyed her performance.
I received an advance read and listen copy from NetGalley, Sourcebooks Casablanca and Dreamscape Media, and this is my honest feedback.

Listened to this as an audio book thanks to NETGALLEY.
A cute hallmark/Groundhog day style Christmas story.
Annie is having to live Christmas eve over and over again, actually living the 12 days of Christmas on Christmas eve.
This was such a fun read, I really enjoyed listening to this via audio. Loved all the characters specially the Santa.
Defiantly give it a read if you love a cheesy Christmas story.

Cute Christmas meets Groundhog Day rom-com. Annie had her eye on the prize to get a promotion in her window dresser job. Running late she runs into an authentic looking department store Santa. Things do not go well for her with the promotion so she heads home for the day. Waking up to only realize it’s Christmas Eve all over again she is at a loss as to what to do. Falling into this pattern of every day is the same she tweeks things with each day. With each day she grows closer to Braden the store’s security guard. As they try and solve this mystery she has to repeatedly remind him of events that have transpired from the day before. With each day going by she starts to get to know her neighbors and finds friendships with the strangers she’s lived in the same building for years. Taking time to smell the roses and to not be so career driven makes for wonderful changes. Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape for this free advanced copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

A charming, hope-filled Christmas story with Hallmark vibes that will make you smile! It took me a little time to get into this one, but once I did I was hooked! I loved the characters, the writing, and the narration. This really got me into the Christmas spirit and was such a nice book to cozy up with at the end of the day. It really made me appreciate feel-good books since I’ve been in need of one for a while. With all the darkness in the world, this book provided me with a sliver of light to look forward to at the end of each day.
What I Loved:
- The characters were so loveable and I adored the diverse cast of personalities throughout the book that helped keep the plot moving. Brayden and Annie are really sweet, along with all of Annie’s neighbors. I also looked forward to hearing about Leo in different chapters. All around the most charming part of the book! :)
- The warmth of the plot and writing style. Such a sweet story and wonderfully told! I haven’t read a book so cozy and uplifting in a long time.
- The setting and descriptions. All around cozy. Felt very at home in Lawson’s and Annie’s cozy apartment building!
What I Liked:
- Pretty much everything!
- The time loop was well done. I know some reviews have said it gets repetitive, but I think it was executed well and I really liked how each day was a little different than the last. I also like how Brayden was woven into the story and the special moments between different characters. Super sweet!
Oooh, also the food descriptions! Yummy! 😋
What I Didn’t Like:
- The dialogue felt cheesy at times - really towards the beginning of the book - but that was really minor and as someone who doesn’t usually like Hallmark-style stories, I warmed up to the writing and narration style pretty quickly and this was no longer a problem for me. It actually kind of added to the charm of the story. Also, the minor awkward scenes were well-executed and there was a lot of heart and emotion throughout the entire book, which I think might have been accentuated by the dialogue.
Basically, I loved this book and have pretty much no qualms lol! Would totally read again - and I almost never do but this one’s a book I would love to come back to! The characters are ones I’ll miss hanging out with every night!
Super happy I decided to pick this one up! Ginny Baird - I will be reading you again! I am officially hooked and looking forward to whatever stories you’ll be publishing next!
Thanks to NetGalley & Dreamscape Publishing for offering me an early copy of this book to review!

Thank you to NetGalley for the audiobook ARC of this story. All opinions are my own. Christmas Eve Love Story is a cute and sweet Christmas story about reliving the same day. Annie is going through Cjristmas Eve with a lot of challenges, meets Brayden anlong the way, and Annie has to figure out what changes she should make to get out of the recurring day. I enjoyed the audio of this book and found it to be a quick holiday read, that was light and heartwarming. It featured sweet characters and growth from Annie as she relived this day with time travel. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a light and sweet quick Christmas read.

Christmas Eve Love Story is a cute holiday rom com with strong Groundhog Day vibes. Annie is the kind of everyday MC most of us can relate to. She works hard and gets stuck in the grind of day to day. Her bright spot is Leo, the aging kitty she’s fostering. Annie wakes up Christmas Eve and finds nothing in her day goes right, from start to finish. She has an encounter with Santa and wakes up the next morning right back in Christmas Eve. I love the start to everyday and the small lessons Annie learns along the way. It would be easy to say the one bright spot in all of this is the time she gets to spend with Braden, but truthfully, I enjoyed all the time with her neighbors and the people around her. Every day Annie found another way to expand her world, and it was special. The time with Braden was just icing on the gingerbread in an already sweet Christmas story. This has a little bit of everything you would expect from a holiday tale with humor and sweetness.
I received a complimentary audiobook from the publisher via NetGalley and all opinions expressed are solely my own, freely given.

Christmas Eve Love Story by Jenny Baird it’s a great Christmas fairytale romance it is written like groundhogs day and with a little encouragement from the new Santa Claus at the department store where Annie Jones designs their window dressings she may just get the perfect Christmas. On the first Christmas Eve and Annie doesn’t know any of her seven neighbors but it seems every new Christmas Eve she gets she meets someone new and there’s something a tad bit different but the one thing that is the same is the new Santa and she keeps running into Brady Hicks a security guard who works with her at the department store. Every time she wakes up to indoor another Christmas Eve she hopes against hope that Brady will remember her that it will finally be Christmas. Will Annie have the perfect Christmas or will she have to relive Christmas Eve for the rest of her life? To make matters worse Annie’s parents died in a car accident right around Christmas and she hasn’t had a really happy one since then. Oh I love this book I love a book where everyone is nice and everything ends the way you want it to. This is such a great book I love the whimsical tone to the narrators voice I was just definitely in the mood for a book like this and I’m so glad I listen to it. The book was narrated by Emma Faye and I said she did a great job with the fairytale tone to her voice she was perfect for this book. #NetGalley,#Dream skate media,#Jenny Baird, #Christmas Eve love story,

Annie Jones is a Visual Designer for ‘Lawson’s First’ a New York City popular department store and designs the window displays.
(Which reminded me of when we lived in the Chicago area and how it was such a treat to go into the city at Christmas time to view the great window displays!)? Back to story~
This story begins with Christmas Eve day and one of Annie’s Christmas window displays gets knocked over by two excited young brothers.... The store’s Santa who is very realistic talks to the young boys and offers Annie some helpful hints on her ‘do over’ window display. As she is picking up the Christmas ornaments, handsome Braden Tate one the stores’ Security Guards helps out. But they ae finished it is time to go home. As Annie crawls into bed she thinks of how she will be celebrating Christmas tomorrow and thinks of Braden. However, when she wakes the next morning, it isn't Christmas day, but Christmas Eve again.
It appears Annie is caught in a ‘Groundhog Day’ Christmas Eve!
As Christmas Eve is repeated ~Annie does get closer to Braden and to Christmas day,
Annie states that her day loop has some loop holes – as some things are NOT completely the same when repeated.
Story is sooo sweet ~I just loved it.
Want to thank NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for this audiobook.

Christmas Eve Love Story had me sucked in from the Blurb and the adorable front cover. Who wouldn't love a 'Groundhog Day' type of do-over story. Especially one set at Christmas!
This delivered all sorts of rom-com goodness and had something for everyone. Love the insta love and attraction? That happens on one of the days. Like the awkward cringe 'I've made a fool of myself' meet cutes? That happens too!
Annie finds herself stuck in a time loop although she isn't an unhappy or accident prone or nasty person. What is there to remedy? Why doesn't Christmas day ever seem to arrive?
Then Braden enters stage left and throws Annie into a spin. Why does he find their scenario's familiar? What is he remembering?
My favourite part of this do-over scenario is that not everything resets and changes every day. Somethings are definitely different and some parts of the day are exactly the same.
I did guess what would happen with the neighbour in 2B, how many do-over days there would be, and who was behind it all. It didn't spoil the enjoyment of the book at all.
I loved the neighbourly comradery, the adorable Leo and the fact that all you have to do is believe!
Thanks so much to Netgalley and the author and publisher for allowing me a copy of this audiobook to listen to. All opinions are my own.

This was a heartwarming holiday time-travel romance that left me feeling warm, cozy, and ready for the festive season. I was a bit unsure at the start of the book, as I felt kind of dropped into the story— like I was missing some background on events and characters. But a few chapters in and I got the insight I had been lacking and was able to fully fall into the story. The plot had ups and downs, a bit of a hallmark feel with some more serious tones and tougher issues, as well as a happy but realistic (well, as realistic as a time loop romance can be) ending. Narration was fun and varied, and easily kept my interest. This is the book to check out if you’re looking for a clean holiday rom-com.

Annie Jones works hard designing windows for iconic New York City department store Lawson's Finest. So when her Christmas window display gets upended by some rambunctious kids on Christmas Eve, the all-too-realistic store Santa gives Annie a little decorating tip on how to start over. With help from friendly security guard Braden Tate, Annie repairs the damage and heads home. But when she wakes the next morning, she's bewildered to find that it isn't Christmas day at all, but Christmas Eve all over again.
Annie was stuck in a time loop trying to figure out what would get her out of it. As she woke up to the same day over and over, she began to get frustrated but still held out hope that she'd come out of it eventually.
In the process, she got to know more about the people around her and made friends and a community. Her feelings for Braden also grew as he helped her every time the window display was knocked down.
This was exciting at first but definitely got a bit repetitive even though the author did try to trim down the day's events as they reoccurred. Christmas day itself was full of all the Christmassy vibes and had a Hallmark feel to it 😄
I wasn't a fan of the narrator's performance on Braden's POV. It was hard to differentiate when switching POVs but I loved her performance in everything else.
Thank you to Netgalley and Publisher for an ALC in exchange for an honest review. It's out now!

Okay, I always request this author because even though she is Latine. I have other books by her and her latine traditions sometimes are okay for me. I wanted to give her a new chance, and this one flopped for me. Like so much. I was bored. It was repetitive, and I know it's supposed to be a groundhog day thing. So it's supposed to repeat, but I was bored. It got too repetitive.
I do think they got a chance to know each other but it was different time line of different days. So like she throws on him the "Oh we've had time together, but it resets" so it's like her feelings are way more ahead than his and it put a lot of pressure. I don't know. I am just uncomfortable.
I got an alc of this book on NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I absolutely adored this book! I could not stop listening. Not only was it well written, but there was fantastic character growth and enough conflict to keep me listening. I love time loop romances and this was a lot of fun. This book was heartwarming, funny and had ALL the feels.
Annie designs windows for a big department store and Braden is the security guard. Annie wakes up and realizes it’s Christmas Eve again. This book was a perfect Christmas romance! It was just what I needed to get me started into the season. I thought the narrator did a great job. She was pleasant to listen to and brought the story to life. Huge thanks to Dreamscape and Netgalley for allowing me to listen and review this book!

Awww, what a sweet and sentimental little Christmas story.
This book is for those who love the Christmas song 'The Twelve Days of Christmas', just sayin'. *winks*
I was lucky enough to receive an audiobook arc for this book as well. I loved reading and listening to this book simultaneously. It made the entire experience more joyful for me.
The story was adorable, it was like a Hallmark Christmas movie turned into a book. And bonus points, because 'Christmas Eve Love Story' was the first Christmas book I read this year, therefore it'll remain a special book for me.

This was the cute hallmark movie in a book that I needed to get my heart ready for the holiday season. With decorating and cooking being two of the main factors of breaking the time loop, it felt good for my soul.

A sweet and chaste romance set on Christmas Eve—that is, a Christmas Eve that never ends! Annie, who creates window displays at a department store in Manhattan, is in danger of losing her job because sales are down. As she ponders how to make her windows more groundbreaking, two kids run into the display and destroy it. A cute security guard helps her put it back together and the store Santa offers advice on how to improve it. Yet, when she wakes up the next day she finds herself in a “Groundhog Day” style time loop and she must do it all over again, with some minor changes. One thing that I especially liked about this book was that while it is a romance, it is just as much about Annie’s relationships with friends, neighbors, and co-workers, and how she works to improve them every day of this story. The time loop adds a fun element to a charming Christmas story that I enjoyed on audiobook. Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the opportunity to review this book.
