This is perfect timing for this book. Crocheters are loving the look of the granny square dress she wore and now there are more patterns to try our skills on.
A lot of the patterns I would love to make, especially the dolls. I was amazed that there was a tip for the invisible decrease within one of the patterns it self. Other pattern stitches are shown in the back of the book with photos.to help us and even how to put a zipper in.
Even thou I consider myself an intermediate crocheter, there are things even a beginner could do. I would definitely recommend this, especially for a Taylor Swift fan..
Thank you NetGalley., Lee Sargon and Quarto Publishing Group for letting we have an advanced reader’s copy.
I am newly into crocheting as a hobby, and I am a fan of Taylor Swift, so I was really excited when I saw this on NetGalley! The projects are all very cute and Taylor Swift coded. This is definitely for more well-skilled in crochet people, but the pictures and projects are very fun to look at!
I want to personally thank NetGalley, as well as the author, publisher, and anyone else involved in providing copies for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I love Taylor Swift and I love being creative so the combination of Taylor and crochet is a fantastic mix for me. I am looking forward to testing them out soon.
I absolutely love the patterns in this book. I am not even really a Swiftie, but I cannot wait to try a lot more of these patterns. I like that it indicates the skill level and the instructions are easy to follow.
If you love Taylor swift but maybe can’t afford her cardigans… well never fear because now you can have a crochet pattern to make your own! So very cute Taylor inspired stuff. Cardigans, socks, hats, fingerless gloves, dolls, etc. The patterns are very easy to read and well explained, with lots of photos. The author also groups, the patterns in categories of difficulty at the back of the book. There are some different stitches used in the pattern explained in more details. Regardless of your crochet skill level if you love Taylor Swift, this is a great book to have.
This was ADORABLE. I absolutely loved the art throughout the book - it is obvious that someone has put a lot of time and effort into it! I love the cat crochet and the blank space journal cover, very cool!!
As someone quite fond of Taylor swift, I found this collection quite interesting. Everything is so detailed and vivid. There are many great ideas in this book that must be tried out by true swifty fans.
As a fellow Swiftie, I absolutely adore the theme of Unofficial Taylor Swift Crochet! The character art and images are not only cute but perfectly capture the spirit of Taylor's music. Most patterns are straightforward, making them accessible to both beginners and seasoned crocheters. I especially appreciate the option to scan codes for larger, printable graphs—this feature is a game-changer!
The variety of items, from wearables to accessories, is impressive, and I recently tested the Bejeweled Headband for my daughter, who loves it! The instructions were clear, though I found the graph for the Shake It Off Beanie a bit confusing at times. However, this might just be my personal hiccup.
I’m excited to try the Taylor doll and cardigan sweater next! I’ll definitely be recommending this book to my crochet friends. This book is a delightful addition to any Swiftie’s crafting collection!
I love the idea and theme of this book, as a fellow Swiftie! The images, and character art are cute and on theme.
Most patterns seem easy to follow. The graphs are hard to see though for individual stitches, so I absolutely love that there are codes to scan for the graphs with larger printable versions. This is a major plus for readers and buyers.
The patterns are great and original, offering a mix of difficulty types for beginner crocheters and those with more experience. I love the different types of items offered in book so you're not just making blankets or dolls, you can choose between many different items, including wearables. The theme in the books was followed throughout. I tested out the Bejeweled Headband for my daughter and she loves it, directions were easy to follow. I plan on trying the Taylor doll, and possibly the cardigan sweater next.
Directions for the Shake It Off Beanie confused me a bit when it came to the graph portion of the pattern while reading it, but that may be a me issue and not a pattern issue.
I will definitely be recommending this pattern book to other crochet friends and posting about it on my instagram account this week between the dates Oct.7th and Oct. 11th. Working on getting photos for the post ready currently.
This is a must have for any crocheter who is also a Swiftie fan! This book contains so many TS projects and I can’t wait to make some of them. My favorites are the Enchanted Graphgan, Cardigan Sweater, Shake It Off Beanie, and the Karma Car bag! The patterns seem fairly easy to follow and I think they would be great for an intermediate crocheter.
This is a great find for Taylor Swift fans. If they can't crochet themselves, they need to find someone who can, because there are some lovely patterns. I particularly loved the cat bag and wedding shawl. Easy to follow instructions. Thanks to Netgalley.
I can’t speak to the actual crocheting, as I have not crocheted since i was like 12 ( and i was not great then lol). But as a SWIFTIE since i heard “Tim Mcgraw” on the radio for the first time — I really really enjoyed this!!! I have been thinking about learning to crochet as a pass time and love this book! The swiftie inclusion is so so fun! Also, as a very beginner — I appreciate the section on tips & techniques!!!!
Thank you to NetGalley, Lee Sartori and the publisher for this eARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
As the mother of a young "swifty" and avid crafter myself, I was so excited to review this book. There were so many quick projects that can easily be whipped up for my daughter or as a quick gift for a friends birthday party.
I loved the variety of projects, easy to follow instructions and clear photos used throughout the book.
Looking forward to trying out many of these patterns in the months to come - that touque is adorable!!
There were maybe three or four patterns in this book I was interested in making, but many of them seemed like they were added to fill space in the book. A red scarf could have been made using any basic scarf pattern, or no pattern at all. Most importantly, the giant tote bag calls for using a 2.0mm hook?! Why? Would would anyone do that to themselves? And if you use a bigger hook and thicker yarn, the bag would be impractically large. The next pattern I began to attempt was the cardigan, and though I've been an avid crocheter for 25 years, I found this pattern to be unnecessarily confusing. The order, the formatting, the description... I just didn't get it at all. I was really excited about this book, but it was a disappointment.
This is brilliant for any crafty swifties and would make a perfect gift! There is a good variety of projects for different skill levels and they're all super cute to make. If you are a beginner at crochet you may struggle with some of the projects but the instructions are clear and there's a helpful index.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you, to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book.
OH. MY. GOODNESS.
As a swiftie, the second I saw this book, I had to have it. I have been crocheting for 30 years and these projects are absolutely adorable.
My favorite project so far is the “All Too Well” scarf and that will be absolute perfection for fall this year.
The directions for each project are easy to read, easy to follow and provide clear and concise measurements. I like that each project also denotes a “skill level” so that you know which projects will be best for your current abilities.
AND that Karma Cat Bag?! I will need to make at LEAST two of these, if not more, in varying colors because how cute is that?!
The book also included some great instructions in the back of basic crochet skills, some common stitches and some general tips and tricks on things such as increasing and decreasing stitches. Lee Sartori did a great job with this book and I am excited to use it multiple times for different projects.
As an amateur crocheter I found this to be a pretty good book. I liked the projects. I also enjoyed the art style. This would be a great gift for any crafty swifts in your life.
I really enjoyed looking through the projects in this book, and I think it would make a great gift! I was thinking of it for a younger. friend who's new to crochet, but the illustration style felt a little dated and the projects seemed more advanced than her level. That said, it felt very Taylor-centric, and the adaptations of her lyrics and style were really fun!
Calling all crafty swifties! This book is amazing and so fun! There are many different fun crafts, many of which are from her music videos! The directions are direct and concise. I look forward to completing more of these crafts! I have many students who love craft books and Taylor Swift, I am looking forward to getting a copy for my students!
This is super cute. Any Taylor Swift fan who crochets would have this book. The themed items are great (and yes the red scarf is included as well as the famous cardigan). Projects are rated by difficulty so people know what they are getting. There are lots of full-color pictures and beautifully themed section openers.
