Wow A great romance. Loved that is changed perspective from Dex to Lennox without losing any of the sexual tension the two were giving off. We watched as they both fell in love even through their lives were in a mess at that time. There's so many great things about this book way it was written is great so original.
Thanks

Wow, so, so good. I knew this book would be great when just the first chapter made me cry! This story is all about love: how important it is to find, how we need to cling to it, and what it means in our lives. This is one of those sweetly philosophical romances where you feel like you've been imparted some great wisdom by the end. Dex and Lennox were amazing together and I loved how much they loved each other!
🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 for some smoking hot scenes that were the cherry on top of a great story! Looking forward to reading more from this author for sure.

Omg! This book was so good. I literally devoured it. Their chemistry, banter, & just friendship between them was so good. Even some chapters had me on the edge of my seat while putting pieces together with the letters she found. Definitely recommend.

This book is hands down 5⭐️
I absolutely loved this book. Lennox and Dex as characters are well written as you follow along on their journey to finally become a couple full of love and passion, and the spice doesn’t disappoint.
The way the author has written the book with flashbacks to when the couple met, while also intertwining the past of his grandmother makes for an excellent read. I couldn’t put this book down, reading it in just over a day and would recommend to anyone looking for a friends to lovers.

I had to DNF this book after only a few chapters. The writing comes off amateurish and I felt like I was wasting my time. Lennox comes off really unlikeable straightaway. I can deal with a FMC being a little off putting, but Lennox was overboard unlikeable. Her entire attitude from not caring that she lost a job to her trying to immediately seduce Dex. Dex seems likeable and kind, but it hit wrong when he went from being nice to Lennox to suddenly talking about wanting to watch her shower. And h\is first rejection of her felt odd.

This was so so so good! Once I started, I couldn't put it down. Cove has a way of just pulling you into the story. Our MMC isn't swoon worthy, he's drool worthy! The writing was phenomenal, as usual. And the spice...just perfect.

Thank you to netgalley for allowing me to arc read this amazing story.

4.25 read for me ... I fell in love with this book and the characters so fast ! Dex, the billionaire heart throb , and Lennox, just a beautiful average woman with a big heart ❤️ when Dex's grandmother , the owner of the multi-billion dollar company , passes away , she leaves the company to Dex but only if he is married. She always wanted him to live more than just a corporate life . She wanted him to find love and enjoy the little things in life. The sparks between Lennox and dex were flying from the moment they met .
The slow burn romance between them was so well written . The twists and turns in the story keep you thinking the whole story. I loved it so much. Haven't read a sweet romance novel with substance and heart. Lessons in love and money and family are perfection in Snapshot.

4 stars! I loved loved loved this book! Lennox was a strong, fun, yet totally human FMC who put herself out there on several occasions and never let anyone dictate what she did even when she was totally out of her element. And Dex - swoon! He was so confident and demanding yet incredibly caring and clearly devoted to all things Lennox.

I was happy that the friends-to-lovers transition wasn’t drawn out and thought the pacing of the story was good. I would have liked to see a little more development of the secondary characters because I liked several of them and would like to explore them a bit more, but overall that was a very minor thought I had while reading.

The spice was spicing, and I ate it up! This was my first Kay Cove book, and I WILL be reading more!

Thank you to NetGalley, Kay Cove, and Victory Editing for the eARC of this book. I am voluntarily providing my honest opinion for this review.

Dex is set to take over the family business when his grandmother Dottie retires. He has been working very hard to be prepared for this eventuality. Much to his surprise, Dottie suddenly fires him and gives him a scuba shop so he can relax more and learn about life in the real world. He meets Lennox and she becomes his best friend. Despite her fears, she learns to dive due to her trust in Dex. When Dex’s beloved grandmother dies, she leaves the company to Dex’s wife. Only problem is…he doesn’t have one. Lennox is the only person he trusts, so she agrees to marry him and become CEO of the company. The board expects her to just be a figurehead, but Lennox has other ideas. The characters are so well developed, and Dottie’s backstory is an added bonus. I’ve never read this author before, but just bought the first book in the series as I liked this one so much.

I received a free copy of this book thanks to Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op | Page & Vine; all opinions expressed are exclusively my own.

I found this book a little off-putting, and I'm not exactly sure why. It's a friends-to-lovers romance, but I wouldn't call it a fake marriage trope by any means as both characters have been interested in each other for years, and pretty much immediately are fully on board with being married to each other. It also is a little difficult to read in how it tries to straddle a line between having one of the main characters be a billionaire yet also interested in treating employees right (something that it is pointed out isn't happening in actuality). The flashbacks feel awkward for a reason I'm not entirely aware of, because I've read plenty of books with alternating flashback chapters without any issue. All in all, I'd say it's fine if you're really hankering for a billionaire romance but need something to alleviate the guilt accompanying the fantasy.

For sensitive readers, this book contains references to infidelity, neglect, emotional abuse, financial instability, grief, panic attacks, and graphic sexuality.

These tropes are everything I could ask for and more. If you love office romances, don't even hesitate! READ THIS!

This is book 2, the first book Camera shy was good although a little
too spicy for me! I was kind of dreading reading this one but this was a five star read for me! The storyline was so good Lennox and Dex are so good together. You wouldn’t have to read book 1 first although it does help slightly with some of the other characters etc.
Dex’s grandmother passed away and leaves the family business to his wife! The only problem is he’s not married! In steps his best friend Lennox to be his fake wife. The plan is ahe steps in takes over the company for a year then hands it back to Dex and they go their separate ways, sounds easy right? Wrong! They’ve been lying to each other about their feelings for years! Lennox is too trusting of strangers and everyone is out to set them up! I laughed, I cried, I gasped and cheered. This book gave me everything. Is it epic? No but it kept me thoroughly entertained I was rooting for Lennox the whole time. Couldnt ask for anything more!

This is my first book by the author and it did not disappoint! Dex is on an extended vacation in Las Vegas. His grandmother sends him away to live life on the down low before has to take over their family's company. He keeps his life in Florida very hush hush. The best part about being in Vegas is that no one knows who he is, who his family is, what they own, or how much money he is worth. The first time he meets Lennox, she's trying to give him money money for the booze she drank at his party. They become the best of friends. When she needs a place to stay, he offers his guest room. When he finally tells Lennox what's going on in his life, she does the only thing a best friend can do... be there for him. While they may have had feelings for each other here and there, they have never acted on them.

"...do you really want to cross this line and risk ruining our friendship?”

"Ruin it."

There's no denying the attraction and chemistry between them. But the marriage of convenience is the best way for them to keep their friendship intact. Or is it?!?! Maybe that's why his grandma stated the CEO would be his wife for a year before he could takeover. She saw something there, something akin to long-lasting love between them the one time she came to visit Dex. She wanted him to learn how to live life, learn how to love. Know that there is more to life than the company they own. But she also saw something in Lennox.

"Numbers aren’t what you need to be a successful leader,”
“What is it, then?” “Heart and resilience,” Dottie answers. “And you, Lennox, seem to have both.”

Lennox had heart and resilience in spades.

“Lennox, it’s been so much longer than two weeks. I think I missed you before I even knew you. If I hadn’t met you, I’m convinced I would’ve ended up alone. You have no idea the hold you have on me. I needed us to start as friends, otherwise, I would’ve called your power over me straight-up sorcery.”

Oh, my heart! But their story isn't all sunshine and roses. There's someone sabotaging Lennox along the way, someone Dex loves and trust. And the plot twist I wasn't expecting. Oh, boy! I was sure captivated by the story and the characters within.

I received an advance copy of this book at my request and voluntarily left this review.

This is the second book in the series but could be reas as a standlone. The story follows two friends striking a deal to save ther company but lines are blurring. I really enjoyed this book and I lot more than book 1. I have been waiting for these characters ever since they were introduced in Camera Shy. The author did an amazing job bringing their stories to life. The pacing was great and I enjoyed the story conflicts. I liked how an alternative pov was added at a couple of times because it made the storyline was so much more interestiing. This book is told from both Lennox and Dex’s pov.

Lennox breaks up with her boyfriend and has to leave her apartment while she has no job. Dex has always been her friend but he needs her help. Lennox is a sweetheart but as much as I loved her character, she made some questionable mistakes from time to time. Then we have Dex whose a lover boy and would do anything for Lennox. I loved their chemistry and seeing them end up together after so long. There are other characters in this book with a bit of a feature of book 1 characters but this is completely Lennox and Dex’s story.

The ending was well done and overall I really enjoyed this book. It was well written and I’m excited to read the next one to see what the story will be about. Cove is a fantastic writer so I’m excited to see what she has in store for us.

Snapshot by Kay Cove is the second book in the Lessons in Love Series and was an interesting story overall.

I was a bit confused in the beginning. The story starts from the grandmother’s perspective so I thought maybe it would be a story in the past or maybe something else. But it flips to focus on her grandson Dex and Lennox. While this is creative, maybe it could be better to have the pov start with one of the protagonists, even if it’s in the prologue. If it’s intentional, it went over my head.
Aside from that, this was a good story. I enjoyed the fake dating/marriage situation and the fact that it went between two time periods.

In this delightful read, Lennox and Dottie shine as complex, multi-dimensional heroines who break free from superficial stereotypes. Lennox, with her quirky charm and unwavering nature, refuses to change even when life throws curveballs her way. Unlike many tales where the female lead undergoes a major transformation, this story beautifully portrays both Lennox and Dex falling in love while staying true to themselves.
The plot is a refreshing mix of engaging twists and turns, skillfully avoiding the usual clichés. It is a friends to lovers and billionaire romance, but it's so captivating that the explicit sex scenes, though undeniably hot, felt like interruptions. If you're someone who blushes easily or prefers less graphic content, just skip those parts and enjoy the rest of Dex and Lennox's adventure. Chapter 21 is a standout, vividly capturing the relief felt by Lennox and her family.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

This was a pretty good book. It has some interesting characters and plenty of character development. There are a few swear words if that bothers you and mentions if infidelity. Some spicy scenes but not many. Overall a decent story I gave it 3 stars for the in my opinion slow start and jumping around from previous years to current.
