KAY PLEAASEEEE Mercy. Parts of this story GUTTED me. I read it in 1 sitting basically. I didn’t do a lot of work, I didn’t eat much, I’m up late writing this review even. Oh my GOODNESS. This was so good. I just love the characters in here so much. I went through every single emotion I fear. I nearly put it down and angrily went to bed because I was enraged at times. But damn if it wasn’t good.
We all deserve a love like this. Passionate, forever lasting, true; along with friendship and partnership as well. And we should make handwritten letters a thing again. They’re a lost art. I loved Dottie so much. Thank you so much for this e-ARC, NetGalley, Kay, and the publisher. I think this one will be on my mind for a while.

So, Snapshot pulls out almost every romance novel trope under the sun…billionaire and poor girl, friends to lovers, marriage of convenience. There were parts to the plot I enjoyed such as the parellel story of the bittersweet romance of the billionaire’s grandmother, and that this story is not completely revealed until the end. However, there was too much repetition when moving from the inner life musings of Dex, the billionaire and Lennox, the female main character. Yes, I got the fact that Dex realized how privileged he was but hated his life. Lennox is bored with her boyfriend and has the hots for her “friend”, Dex. I think I would have enjoyed the book more if there were fewer chapters covering these same basic viewpoints.

I enjoyed the latter part of the book more. There is corporate intrigue, family secrets, and steamy sex. Lennox finds herself and develops confidence in her natural abilities. There are fair resolutions for many of the characters.

I always forget how much I love Kay Cove's writing! This book does not disappoint!

Billionaire romance, Vegas/Miami setting, dive instructor - finding way in life, friends to lovers

Dex & Lennox are perfection despite their flaws/trauma & family history. The layers are complex and I was totally addicted to this book once they started to peel back.

I never expected to love this book as much as I did. Completely hooked me from the first page and kept me reading until the last.
I loved the characters Dex and Lennox, and their real feelings and personalities. They were not perfect, and their flaws made them more relatable. The plot was an interesting mix of romance, family drama, and steamy scenes. Lennox agrees to marry Dex, whom she knew as a regular guy who owned a diving shop, and become CEO of his family business so he could fulfill his Grandmother's will request. What neither of them expected was for their chemistry to be off the charts, and for their marriage to be real.
A must read book that will make you believe in happy endings.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This book was a captivating read that truly left a mark on me. From the very first page, I was drawn into the vibrant world the author created, filled with relatable characters and engaging storylines. The narrative had me giggling at several points, thanks to the witty dialogue and humorous situations the characters found themselves in.

What I loved most about this book is its wholesome nature. It balances lighthearted moments with deeper themes of love and friendship, making it a feel-good experience. The chemistry between the leads is palpable, and their interactions are both sweet and endearing. Plus, there’s just the right amount of spice that adds excitement without overshadowing the overall charm of the story.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed "Snapshot." It's a delightful mix of humor, warmth, and just a touch of romance that makes it a perfect escape for anyone looking for a light yet engaging read.

First things first...this book is easily in my top books of 2024! It was amazingly written and flowed so well. I really enjoyed the back and forth of points in time. At first I wasn't sure I liked it but the way the author did this allows the reader to know and understand the backstory during a time in the present where the information gained from the backstory was necessary in understanding the current time. It was seamless in the transitions, almost like she was telling me a story not me reading a book.

Dax is a billionaire and one day his Grandma says she wants him to leave his life, fires him (kind of) and forces him to leave Miami and live in Las Vegas, no stuffy suits or estates anymore. The goal, to live life and perhaps find love. Enter Lennox who stumbles into Dax's life quite unexpectedly. To avoid losing her, someone he really connects with ans that doesn't know he's a billionaire, he keeps her in the friend zone, even though they both really don't want the other in it. Dax's grandma passes away and instead of him taking her CEO role she gives it to his wife. The problem? He doesn't have a wife until Lennox helps him out, now finish out her best friend is hiding some secrets and the feelings that were at the background are now at the forefront of their relationship.

Such a good story, sweet, sad, hopeful and spicy! I loved it all!

Thanks to NetGalley,Kay Cove and Victory Editing for allowing me to review this ARC!!

If you are looking for a captivating story about two friends who get married to save his billion dollar company, look no further than Snapshot by Kay Cove. In what has become my favorite book of hers of all time (with my favorite MMC of hers, which is a huge deal considering how many books she has released since I fell in love with Joel Lewis), we get the pleasure of following Dex and Lennox on their journey to the life that Dex’s grandmother always dreamt for her grandson. We met Dex and Lennox in their friends’ Avery and Finn’s story, Camera Shy, and while these two do make on page appearances, this book can be read as a standalone. Dex and Lennox’s friendship has unfolded over the last three years and getting those glimmers back in time to watch them become friends, only strengthens your love and care for them as a couple. You also get to meet Dex’s grandmother, Dottie, who was the catalyst for Dex’s arrival in Vegas three years ago and whose passing kicks off the series of events in this book. Dottie’s story gives The Notebook vibes, but be warned, you’ll need a handful of tissues to get through this one.
