Fantastic book! I really enjoyed the character development and the mutual pining between them.
It was written really well.
4/5 ⭐️s
🌶️1/2 - low to medium spice, multiple scenes with low explicit language
LOVES:
- The dogs being named after Firefly Lane characters is quirky and cute ☺️ this is definitely a book for dog lovers!
- I love that Christian’s got a popular song written secretly about Haley and she has no idea 😏
- Shining a light on how truly terrible reality TV is… 🙁 and the media too. Makes you rethink.
- The way the romantasy book Christian is reading is hinted at 😉😆
- The J name joke 😂 we’ve all heard that one before!
CRITIQUES:
- I don’t love the idea that Haley was judging Christian based on solely secondhand, untrustworthy sources before finally getting to know the real him, but again, that’s what people do to celebrities all the time and that issue was handled well
I absolutely love pining 🤩 Christian is sweet. Overall, this was a cute, holiday read with plenty of 🐾🦴
Thanks to @netgalley for the eARC 💝

I really enjoyed this book! I am always a sucker for the misunderstood mmc’s who have been pining for their partner for ages. Plus he’s a tattooed musician! What more could you need? Add in dogs to the mix and you get a perfect book in my eyes. She was such a strong character, but in a calm and composed way. I really enjoyed that about her. And I loved her two best friends, Rachel and Sam! Everyone needs two ride or dies like them.
This story was sweet and I enjoyed that it wasn’t super heavy on Christmas but had just enough to still be considered a Christmas read. I also appreciated that all plot lines were tied up and covered. I can’t wait to read Rachel’s book next!
✨ARC Review✨
I love a cozy Christmas romance and this fits the bill very well.
Haley Templeton, Christmas aficionado, is having a rough start to the season. Her ex-boyfriend and her friend whom he cheated with are getting married. She’s trying to force her Christmas cheer to make an appearance, but instead her brother’s best friend and bandmate, Christian Steele, shows up on her doorstep.
He needs a place to hide out for twelve days. He’s left the reality show he was participating in under a scandalous shadow. His contract requires him to not be seen until the finale.
Haley doesn’t know much about him, but his bad boy reputation follows him everywhere; however, the biggest thing she doesn’t know is that he’s been longing for her since they met three years ago.
Staying inside Haley’s sweet Christmas bubble of a home just makes Christian fall harder and forces Haley to challenge all her media-inspired notions of Christian’s reputation.
This book has all the Christmas vibes, all the pining, all the conundrum of sorting out that reality show scandal. And senior rescue dogs!
I received an eARC via @netgalley and @victoryeditingngc. All thoughts are mine alone.

This book was the perfect little read to kick off the holiday season! I loved the tension and banter between Christian and Haley. And I loved that Haley is just a gorl who is obsessed with Christmas, because who isn’t?
If you’re looking for a fun, easy holiday read, this is it!!
The Twelve Days of Christian was a sweet and cozy Christmas romance. Slow burn, all the pining, forced proximity, brother's best friend... Caroline Corvin hits so many fun tropes with this one. What I loved most was the shared love for animal rescue and animal well-being. The reality TV aspect of the plot adds another element pitting authentic connection against the fabricated story lines on most contestant-based reality competitions. It was a fun read and I'd recommend it for those in the mood for a Hallmark-Christmas with some spice. :)
The Twelve Days of Christian is book one in the Stellar Riot Christmas series by Caroline Corvin.
This was a wonderful Christmas romance story.
A super fun read with great characters and engaging writing.
A cosy Christmas romance. We meet Haley and Christian who have known each other for a couple of years. Haley is the little sister of Christian’s band mate and, as such, has always been ‘Untouchable’.
I loved the fact that the MMC is the one who falls first. There is quite a bit of banter going on, dog parents and a bit of a mystery.
Christian is kicked out of a reality show and has to lay low for 12 days. The only person that can hide him is Haley. Is this the time for love?
I really liked the whole mystery as to what happened on the reality show and I loved the fact that Haley is a crucial part in solving Christian’s problems. Would recommend, you’ll fall in love with the tatted up rockstar!

We love a Rockstar Romance 😻
Long-term pining from the MMC?! YES.
Brother’s band-mate? Yes.
Animal charities? Yes.
Reality TV? In books? Yes. (I hate them in real life 😂)
ACOTAR obsessed MMC? Yes.
I loved that Haley is obsessed with Christmas (girl, same)
The movie references were amazing.
Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC!
Due to his public persona, Christian Steele struggles to be fully understood. Yet when Haley Templeton, his best friend's sister, finds fault with him, he wants to set about and change things. Not prepared to reveal his feelings for her, he decides to help save Haley's beloved animal rescue by competing on a celebrity reality show. When Haley discovers that Christian on her doorstep rather than in Scotland filming Wild For The Win, she is uncertain what his plans are. However, he seems to be trying to win her over, and she is falling for it.
I enjoyed the use of the twelve days of Christmas to deliver this sweet romance. This book definitely resonated with two main characters who have known each other through Haley’s brother. Consequently, for Christian, Hayley has always been off limits, and together with the media’s portrayal of him as the bad guy, he has not felt that he was the right person for her. It was so lovely to see how Hayley begins to see his true side when they finally get to spend the 12 days together. This book has plenty of clever banter, matched with plenty of angst and chemistry between them. A great Christmas read.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
What a beautiful, heart warming Christmas story!
This book was filled with so much goodness; handsome rock star, Christmas theme, rescue dogs, reality tv show, best friend’s sister and so much love!
I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Christian and Haley, when Christian turns up at her doorstep and has to hide there for twelve days! He was the sweetest and so open and honest. She was also so adorable and kind too!
I loved her awesome friends and how they had her back, they were a lot of fun and had me giggling!
A lovely, warm and fuzzy Christmas story!
Thank you @netgalley @carolinecorvin and #grenwyvernpublishing for sending me this copy in exchange for an honest review.
I loved this book, it had me feeling in a Christmassy mood. The combination of holidays, romance and rock kept it very exciting and fresh. Overall it was easy and fun to read.
The Christmas storyline… AND with a rockstar?! Is what is apparently a perfect combination for me. I absolutely adored the characters and the book was just so cozy!
This book was great! It had all of my favorite tropes and the main character were so cute together! I would highly recommend!
3.75 stars. I love a rockstar romance and combined with a Christmas storyline, I knew I had to read it! Thank you to @NetGalley and Grenwyvern Publishing for the ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.
The Twelve Days of Christian is a sweet holiday romance. Christian is a big, tattooed, misunderstood bad boy Rockstar, but secretly he’s been into his best friend and bandmate’s sister for years. Haley is a very lovable vet nurse who owns two adorable dogs, and has amazing, protective friends. The chemistry between them is palpable from the start. It has elements of insta-love from Christian during flashbacks to their first meetings.
This book is full of favourite tropes and micro tropes.
🎄Best Friend’s Sister
🎄Forced Proximity
🎄Rockstar
🎄It’s always been you
🎄A song just for you
🎄Cute dogs
Christian holds back his feeling for Hailey because he doesn’t want to break his best friend’s trust. Of course, eventually those feelings are revealed and they finally give in to their mutual attraction.
I enjoyed that the plot included fallout with a reality show, which gave a modern, original twist to the Christmas storyline. I loved that Hailey is crazy about Christmas pyjamas, and owns multiple pairs. The best part is that Christian finds them appealing. I thought this was a fun aspect of the story, and made Hailey relatable.
For those looking for a sweet and cozy Christmas romance featuring a Rockstar, you will enjoy this one.
I throughly enjoyed this.
I am a sucker for any book with a playlist, and I loved listening to this one after reading the book.
I loved the characters, particularly Christian. It’s always something special when the ‘hard’ or ‘rough-round-the-edges’ Guy falls hard for a girl. I particularly liked that he’s now an ACOTAR-obsessed fan-girl (much like the rest of us!)
The side-plot around pets/ rescue centres/ charities was great, and definitely gave the story more depth.
I thought the story flowed well, and the dual POV worked extremely well with the counting of the days.
This is paced well, nothing felt like a chore to read, and I devoured this in under twelve hours.
My one qualm is that the characters are British, and this is set in London, however at times the characters used ‘Americanisms’ such as ‘Subway’ instead of the ‘Tube/ Underground.’ At one point, Christian references his ‘multi-million dollar’ career, but a British person would definitely say ‘multi-million pound.’ It didn’t happen often, so I don’t feel it detracted from the story too much.
Overall, this is the perfect festive read with all of the ‘feel good’ vibes, with the perfect love story.
Super cute Christmas themed book ready for this year’s holidays! I’m such a sucker for romances between a celebrity and a “commoner” and this one did not disappoint. Loved the scrutiny of the media was explored and the romance between Haley and Christian developed as friends-to-lovers. Really good storytelling and descriptions!
Thank you to NetGalley and Grenwyvern Publishing for the free eARC in exchange for an honest review!
This book was amazing! I felt like the characters had so much chemistry, and the writing was so drawing! I cannot recommend enough!
12 Days of Christian is a Christmas romance novel where we find the MMC who has been pining for his bandmate’s younger sister for years. Needing to hide away for 12 days the MMC and FMC are thrown together unexpectedly.
I thoroughly enjoyed this and loved how the author highlights how intrusive the media are and highlighted the consequences involved in their tabloids. The story telling kept me interested and the characters were vibrant and full of life. The story was full of relatable content and I enjoyed the storyline of standing up for what you believe in and knowing there are two sides to every story.
The cover of this book is also beautiful and is what initially drew me in but the author kept me HOOKED! A must read for anyone wanting a Christmas romance sprinkled with friends to lovers and brothers best friend tropes. I can’t wait to read more in the series
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC!
The Twelve Days of Christian navigates the intricacies of relationships with a unique twist. Set against the backdrop of the Christmas holiday season, the book uses the structure of the "Twelve Days of Christmas" to tell its story.
The MMC, Christian, finds himself in an unexpected vacation while he hides away with his best friend/bandmate Ollie's sister, who he secretly harbors feelings for.
The FMC, Haley, has to "hide" Christian from the public, while he is expected to be on a reality show, but is booted for mysterious reasons. Caroline Corwin blends humor and heartache, advancing the story while also advancing the budding relationship between Haley and Christian.
What stands out the most is the emotional depth of the main characters. The narrative is both engaging and thought-provoking. Without giving too much away, the story blends a minor mystery of the manipulation of reality TV and how two people with interesting pasts are able to find love.
The story is mostly heartwarming and definitely cozy for the upcoming holiday season.
My only issue with the story is the way the story goes back and forth between the building of the relationship and the "investigation" behind why Christian is hiding out when he should be filming the show.
