This is my first book as an introduction to self-help and I can say that it really helped.
The use of examples and scenarios really helped me to visualise the things I can change to adapt to difficult situations. I loved how there was a variety of examples to cater to people of many ages and people that may be in different circumstances to others.
I was intrigued with the use of the authors own personal examples - some I could reflect on myself, others not as much - as it showed that these steps have helped him which gave me more motivation to try for myself.
This is quite difficult for me to write a review on as my first self-help book but I thoroughly enjoyed it and understood all points (which I was slightly scared of not happening).

This was an interesting self-help book with lots of great advice. Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

"100 Ways to Win: Little Answers to Life's Big Challenges" is a self-help guide that emphasizes living authentically and discovering your purpose through life's journey. The book stresses the importance of staying true to oneself, recognizing life's difficulties, and engaging in tasks that reflect one's core values. Key themes include active listening, nurturing a growth mindset, and shedding negative habits. It is fast-paced and, at times, can almost feel rushed, but overall, it is a good foundation for self-discovery and healthy thinking.
Though it may initially seem overwhelming, especially if self-help is your favorite genre, the toolkit provides valuable insights into appreciating life's lessons. Its straightforward format allows for brief reading, making it convenient. I recommend engaging in self-reflection to benefit fully from the insights provided. This book is an excellent resource for anyone seeking to clarify their emotions and lead a fulfilling life.
Thanks to John Murray Press for supplying this book for review and to NetGalley for their consideration. All opinions are my own.

This read like ChatGPT wrote it by regurgitating literally every book on this topic. Very trite, extremely short (a few sentences per topic). Absolutely nothing new here. It feels like the guy who wrote it wanted to add "author" to his resume.

Some books can be truly inspiring and motivational, this book is one of them. For some people it may have answers and advice for ever day. The ideas and thoughts are very simple and this is the real beauty that they have. The reality is that have a positive thing happening to you each day, can support positive attitude in life. The most valuable lesson for me was in being myself in everything so do, think and how I live. Each of us has own life to fulfill with ideas, inspiration, creativity and goals.

Nigel Cumberland’s 100 Ways to Win is a practical and accessible guide for individuals seeking personal and professional growth. The book offers concise, actionable advice through its "100 ways to win", each accompanied by practical tips that can easily be integrated into daily life. This structure makes the book particularly reader-friendly, allowing for easy application of its insights.
A notable strength of the book is the wide range of topics it covers—from emotional well-being and relationships to career progression and financial stability. This broad scope ensures that there’s something for every reader, regardless of their personal goals. Cumberland’s relatable writing style, bolstered by anecdotes from his coaching experience, further enhances the accessibility of the book, making it both engaging and approachable.
Another key element is the focus on individuality, encouraging readers to embrace their unique strengths and define success on their own terms, rather than conforming to societal expectations.
However, the very nature of this book means that analysis of more complex topics, such as mental health or social challenges, lacks depth. Readers seeking deeper or more original insights will need to search for other titles to complete their journey.
Overall, 100 Ways to Win is a valuable resource for those seeking practical guidance and inspiration on their path to personal and professional growth. Its accessibility and focus on individuality make it suitable for a broad audience.
