Such a cute little book. I loved reading this to my son, and he loved story time with this book. I highly recommend this book to other parents to read with thier little one(s).

I loved the storyline about how kindness is what being a princess is really about, regardless of whether you have a crown or not. I also really love the cover art; I could see myself picking it up off the shelf to investigate further just from the artwork.

That said, I’m not a fan of the artwork throughout the book. Some scenes are wonderful, while others could use improvement. I think the storyline and message are great, but I found it to be very wordy. I could see my preschoolers (ages 3-5) not wanting to sit through a read-aloud after the first half of the book. I think the story would benefit from eliminating some descriptive words, and the constant use of "he said, she said" after every dialogue could be streamlined. If the author played with the typography a bit more, it could improve the flow and overall feel of the book. As it is, the text felt plain and stagnant, almost like a chapter book.

I LOVE this book, and I know for sure that many kids will absolutely adore Princess Paris and her story! I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this book, so I will start by talking about the plot. There was a clear introduction, conflict, and ending, which works perfectly for a kids' book. Second, the illustrations were beautiful! I love the variety of different Savanna animals and the different dog breeds that were pictured. Variety and diversity is everything in kids' books, and highly crucial. The illustrator did a great job of achieving this! Third, there was a very unique aspect to this book that was super cool: the language aspect. While the phrases were very simple, the fact that they were in three different languages that weren't English was awesome! This brings life to languages that people in the US probably don't think/know about, and allows young readers to get a glimpse of some other languages. This was such a clever idea! Lastly, the message was so heartwarming and perfectly executed. Princess Paris realizes that being kind is the most important thing about being a princess, which is a great message to articulate to young readers. For the majority of the audience that this book will appeal to, the princess/royalty aspect will really help bring this message full-circle and have more of an effect.
Magnificent book! Bravo!

Nice little book with a valuable lesson at the end. I liked the story as well as the characters, especially Kobe and Chunk. As for Paris herself, it feels like the creators of the book tried too much to make her identical to the real life dog - the result is a bit weird.

Adorable story the shows us a princess is more then the crown on her head. The illustrations were just as cute as the story.

Thank you for the arc NetGalley.
This was such a cute story about kindness. The addition of Afrikaans language was really fun. My kids really liked the story especially my daughter who loves paw patrol.

This is SOOOO adorable!! Demi has been such a role model to me, and this book now has been a big example for my six year old daughter. I have four kids and we absolutely adored every second. The conversations that followed this was beautiful. My daughter and I have talked about it many times in the last few days. The words were beautiful, and so honest and true. Such a fun way to express such a big message.

When Princess Paris prepares to meet the King, she makes sure to bring her sparkly crown along. But during a trip to the Royal Savanna, a monkey steals it! Mild chaos ensues, but it gives Paris a chance to meet with her animals, helping them each with a problem along the way. Through these acts, Paris realizes that her crown itself isn't all that important — it's being a kind, caring Princess with a purpose that counts.

A very sweet, adorably illustrated book with a wonderful message. (I also had to go to her Instagram after reading to see a pic of the real pups, who are just as adorable as their illustrated likenesses!)
