I absolutely enjoyed every minute of this book. I was hooked early one, and I couldn't stop reading. This was such a cute and cozy story! Amy Quick Parrish did an excellent job with the characters and story line. I can't wait to read more from this author. I highly recommend this book to the romance readers.

Thank you Net Galley, Flying Cactus Publishing, and Amy Quick Parrish.

*Highlands Homecoming* by Amy Quick Parrish is a delightful, heartwarming holiday novella that’s both quick to read and thoroughly enjoyable. As the third book in her *Highlands Christmas* and *Highlands New Year* series, it stands beautifully on its own, but if you’re new to the series or need a refresher, Parrish thoughtfully includes links to the first two books, along with quick summaries to bring you up to speed on the characters and their journeys.

What I truly admired about this novella is how Parrish managed to cover so much ground in such a short space without sacrificing depth or emotion. The budding romance between Melissa and Colin is tender and sweet—without any of the heat of spice, yet brimming with genuine connection. The author also does a wonderful job of weaving in Scottish history, culture, and, of course, food. The celebration of Burns Night was a particular highlight, as the characters shared their favorite Robert Burns poems and indulged in a traditional Burns Supper of haggis at the charming MacAlister Inn.

Overall, *Highlands Homecoming* is the perfect cozy read for the holiday season, and I’m eagerly looking forward to more books in Parrish’s *Highlands Christmas* series!

I usually only enjoy novellas when they’re part of a series, bridging the gap between main books. However, this one was an unexpected delight. A big thank you to Amy Quick Parrish and NetGalley for providing the ARC; all opinions are my own.

Knowing this was a novella—just like the previous two—I downloaded books 1 and 2 to make sure I didn’t miss any part of the story. While it’s not strictly necessary, as the author includes a helpful recap of the first two books at the start, I wanted to be thorough. In this installment, Melissa has finally secured her dream home, but her plans are threatened by her conniving ex-husband, who’s determined to claim half of it for himself.

I particularly enjoyed the romantic subplots involving other characters and the swift justice that came for the scheming ex.

However, I did deduct one star because, while the book is a novella, the pacing felt a bit rushed, and I would have appreciated a bit more room for the story to breathe.

I really enjoyed reading Highlands Homecoming by Amy Quick Parrish. It’s a great read full of interesting characters and the antics that they get up to along with mysterious moments. Some twists and turns which makes you wonder what is happening and why they’re doing what they did. An interesting ending

Great fun, easy read that I really did enjoy reading. Would definitely recommend. The other two books in the series are just as good and definitely worth the read.

Thank you to Amy Quick Parrish, the publisher and NetGalley for giving me access to this book.

Honestly i have to say i didnt love this one.
It felt so tiring to read. The constant she said "", "" She laughed formation of this book was draining.

But the short summary was great to get a preview of the story.
I did try to enjoy the storyline but it felt forced due to the writing style.

Highlands Homecoming by Amy Quick Parrish is the third novella in the Highlands Christmas Romance series. It features all of the same characters as the first two books, I love that because their stories continue and I get to know more about their lives. Even though this is part of a series, you don’t have to have read the first two books as the author gives a synopsis of what previously happened, although I would definitely recommend reading and enjoying them all. This one is a sweet story with a gorgeous setting of the Scottish Highlands that has me all the more excited to visit Scotland sometime soon.

The subtitle “Christmas romance” felt misleading here since this was at Christmas. It was still a fun seasonal winter read, short & sweet.

I enjoyed this book so much! Of course, I'm a sucker for a Scottish romance. When an ex tries to cheat, yes again, but this time by taking her recently inherited Scottish home, Melissa must finally fight for herself with the help of her new boyfriend and a supportive community. It is a beautiful story that will make you book a trip for the Highlands right away.

Highlands Homecoming is like a warm cup of tea on a chilly winter day—cozy, comforting, and brimming with charm. This third installment in the Highlands Christmas Romance series sweeps readers away to the picturesque Scottish Highlands for a delightful story of second chances, love, and finding your place in the world.

Melissa Mackenzie's dream of starting fresh in her cozy Scottish home hits a major roadblock when her ex-husband, Dave, swoops in with demands, but Melissa’s resilience and determination make her journey so satisfying to follow. Throw in her budding romance with Colin—Dave’s attorney, no less—and things get adorably complicated. The mix of romantic tension and lighthearted drama keeps the pages turning, all while painting a vivid picture of life in the Highlands.

Colin, meanwhile, is a dreamboat with his own set of challenges, balancing his career with his father’s sweet yet chaotic new relationship. The interplay between Melissa and Colin is filled with tender moments, laughter, and just enough drama to keep things interesting without ever feeling heavy.

The backdrop of the Highlands, complete with preparations for a festive Burns Supper, adds a sprinkle of magic to the story. From quaint inns to rolling landscapes, it’s easy to get lost in the cozy atmosphere. And with its themes of friendship, community, and unexpected gifts, this book feels like a love letter to starting over and finding joy in life’s twists and turns.

If you’re looking for a feel-good romance filled with humor, heart, and a touch of Scottish magic, Highlands Homecoming is the perfect read to cozy up with.

Highlands Homecoming is a charming addition to the Highlands Christmas Romance series, blending romance, friendship, and a love for all things Scotland. I appreciated the inclusion of Burns Night celebrations and Scottish history—it added a layer of authenticity and cultural richness that made the setting feel alive. The descriptions of the Highlands in winter were beautifully done, and the cozy community vibes were delightful.

However, the story felt rushed in places. Key moments, especially between Melissa and Colin, could have used more time to develop emotionally. Their romance had potential, but it moved so quickly that it lacked the depth to feel truly satisfying.

Dave, Melissa's ex-husband, came across as a caricature rather than a fully realized character. His motivations felt exaggerated, which made it hard to take him seriously as an antagonist. While he provided drama, a more nuanced portrayal would have added complexity to the story.

Despite these flaws, I still enjoyed the book overall. It’s a quick, feel-good read. While it doesn’t quite live up to its full potential, it’s still worth a read if you’ve been following the series or just want a taste of Scotland in your fiction

This book was so cute! I've loved this trilogy for so long and I've wanted this closure all along. It was the perfect way to finish the story and while there were things I found a bit far fetched I've loved it. As usual, it has a heavy Scottish culture and I absolutely love that too.

Thank you to netgalley, the publisher and the author for this opportunity!

I didn’t care for the writing or the story. For a short short I’d love more details about the characters or the plot and less about haggis and Robert Burns.

But thank you Net Galley for the opportunity to read and review this book!

This is a cute cozy read. If you haven’t read the first two books in the series the author has a short summary at the beginning of the book so you will be caught up. If you enjoy clean romance ish books this might be the one for you.

As for me it didn’t quite hit the mark. The story itself wasn’t bad, just didn’t stand out or leave a lasting impression.

Highlands Homecoming (Highlands Christmas Romance, Book 3) by Amy Quick Parrish
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / Pages: 112 / Genre: Holiday Romance
Release Date: November 1, 2024

Melissa takes a short trip home to Boston to finalize her divorce, see her friends and family for Christmas, and then get back to Scotland to the charming home she recently inherited. But Dave, her douchebag ex, is scheming to delay the divorce so he can claim half of her house. Dave’s divorce lawyer is also in Boston, and he’s someone she started seeing in Scotland but with him living in the U.S., their relationship is complicated.

I loved this cozy little Christmas romcom. I can definitely see this as a Hallmark movie. I read the first book in this series but not the second one. I think you can read this as a standalone if you wanted to.

And the whole series is available for free with #KindleUnlimited.

Thank you, @AmyQuickParrishWrites and @NetGalley for my gifted copy.
