Cute and quick read. Lighthearted as most of Mary Kay Andrews are. Tilly's antics in trying to pull off this trespassing scheme and George's reaction to it make it an enjoyable story. The holiday theme may have been a bit lacking given most of the story was related to the housing situation. I felt the short story approach left the plot a little weak as it ended before truly developing the characters and their respective relationship.

This is a short cute holiday romance. I'm not a huge fan of short stories because I always want more to the story. I did like this though. The romance was nice and the humor was cute.

This was a quick romantic holiday short story, that I think, unfortunately, fell into the category of short stories that just didn't have enough pages!

I know it was a short story, but I feel like due to this format, there wasn't a lot of development, everything was rushed and set up without any context, and it was abrupt. I do think it was cute and might get you in the Christmas season!

George Holloway is here to sell his granduncle’s house and to decide whether he and his fiancée are right for each other. George notices strange noises and missing food,. He’s sure that someone’s here with him.

When Tilly and George finally meet each other, they both wonder where their lives are headed. Are they destined to be together?

I love Mary Kay Andrews books and this short story was another great read!

Holiday Hideaway is a novella by Mary Kay Andrews. It is a sweet Christmas romance that I really enjoyed, but think it would have worked even better as a novel since the love story felt very rushed. Tilly Farriday was a cute, fun lead and George Holloway was one of those almost too perfect male main characters. The story was fast due to its short length, but it was very uplifting and made me go out and read more Mary Kay Andrews holiday novels!

Another cute Mary Kay Andrews holiday romance. Always look forward to her books at the holidays.. This was a short story but I enjoyed it as much as a longer title. I may have enjoyed it more because I could read it in one sitting during the very busy holiday time.

Short Christmas romance with a unique cute meet and the authors usual humorous depictions. Wouls recommend to her fans and those of holiday romances.

This was a fun, quick, holiday-themed short story. I liked both the main characters - Tilly and George were interesting and quirky. The situations seemed a bit over the top and silly at times, but sometimes that's just what you need, a quick, fun, silly story - especially when the holidays start to stress you out. And in truth, sometimes when I'd think "Well that couldn't happen...", further into the story the explanation was right there on the page. It held my interest throughout and it was Christmas-themed without being overly so. Just what the doctor ordered for a busy holiday season.

Fulfilling. Always a great transporting with Mary Kay Andrews, and a treat in holiday reads. I found it to be an easy, relaxing read, keeping me hooked and letting time pass before returning to the pages. That's a great escape, and Andrews is a master of writing exquisite characters. It's a book to be enjoyed and studied, if you're a writer as well.

Tilly is needing a temporary stay, and decides to hang at George's uncles home for a couple days until her place is ready, however George shows up, and stays! So what now...?

She winds up getting herself in a bind after bind that I think turned out very cute.

Just a cute and easy read! MKA never disappoints. She knows how to effortlessly blend romance with mystery for the perfect story. This novella was full of wit and banter!

Tilly is not having a joyful holiday season. Divorced, no money, now her car has broken down, and she is squatting in one of the rental properties. Everything is going well as she is talking to her friend until she hears a car drive up and receives a call. It just so happens to be Geroge Holloway the man who owns and is planning on selling the house. Wondering why a car is parked in the driveway amongst other things he lets everything go because he is tired. The next morning he notices things have been moved around and a smell in the house. All the while Tilly is hoping not to get caught. That is until he decides to look at the car and read this fun book with excellent characters to find out what happens.

This was a wonderful holiday novella. It is no surprise with Mary Kay that the characters are warm and sweet and exactly what you want.

This was a cute novella which made for a really quick read, but it didn’t give the holiday vibes that I had expected based on the cover and title of book! That may have been my own bias, but I had really wanted those holiday vibes and just didn’t feel it with this one. 3⭐️

If you're looking for a short and festive holiday story look no further than Holiday Hideaway by Mary Kay Andrews. When property manager Tilly needs a place to stay until her new apartment is ready, squatting seems to make the most sense in a pinch. Squatting at one of the rental properties her company manages? Well, it sounded like a good idea until the late owner's great nephew shows up. As Tilly and her adorable dog try to hide from George (who is wondering whether the food he finds and sounds he hears are the ghosts of Christmas paying a visit) she ends up coming clean-mostly. What ensues is a very charming meet-cute wrapped up in a delightful story.
