Way too wordy about stuff that didn't seem to matter; I probably should have done a little bit more due diligence but I don't think I am the right reader for this book.

My dear friend Shara put this collection on my radar and when I saw the audiobook on NetGalley I immediately requested it.

Faceless is comprised of the first three books in the Legends of Abreia series. And it was fantastic! I loved everything about it. All the characters, the plots, the slow burn romances. A terrific Romantasy!

The audio was also very well done. The narrator was articulate and versatile. Giving life to each character and the story.

I highly recommend this series.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Select for the advanced listening copy. All opinions are my own.

I was honestly super impressed with this series. I was a bit confused seeing as how this was previously published as a 6 book series, and this audio version is the first three books. Seems silly that considering each couple gets two books that this one would cut off after the first book in the second couple's journey but it is what it is. I assume that the second audio version will include the last 3 books in the series, thus making it 2 audiobooks for the entire 6 book series. That being said, this was unexpectedly good. Mages, night elves, assassins, political intrigue, shape shifters. I was like, sign me up now!!! I really enjoyed the story and was able to follow along easily. I loved the characters and was interested to know about each one and what might happen next. I will definitely want to continue reading and/or listening to this series to find out what happens. The Raven has my whole heart and soul.

This is listed as romantasy (fantasy/romance) and while that is true, if you are looking for a spicy romance book, this is not the one. This book has romance and kissing but it focuses more on the story/fantasy world.

I was super excited to get to listen to this ALC and the narrator Vanessa Moyen does a great job!

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Select | Page Nine Press for access to the ALC in exchange for an honest review and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future!

Three main love stories, each with their own duology, make up the Legends of Abreia series. The books each hold a piece of the overarching storyline, where the man currently sitting on the throne of Garimore works to expand his empire through manipulation and by force. Faceless includes books 1-3: The Faceless Mage, The Unseen Heir, and The Hidden Queen.

I was immediately hooked by this one. Are there maybe small things that could have used some finessing? Sure, but I enjoyed getting swept up into the story.

Read this one if you’re a fan of strong heroines, magic, slow burns, and MMCs that still have things they need to figure out. Romantasy fans, please note that the heat level is kissing only.

Vanessa Moyen’s narration kept me engrossed in the story. I enjoyed her voices for both the male and female characters and how she captured the various emotions the characters experience in the story.

4.75⭐️

I received an advance copy of the audiobook from Dreamscape Select. All review opinions are my own.

Faceless is a captivating fantasy romance filled with magic, political intrigue, and an enemies-to-lovers storyline. The book follows a bodyguard-turned-spy and a sheltered princess navigating an arranged marriage as they try to prevent war between kingdoms. Kenley Davidson weaves an engaging narrative with strong, likable characters, rich world-building, and plenty of action.

Vanessa Moyen’s narration is solid, bringing emotion to the characters, though the story might have benefited from a dual narration for the alternating perspectives. Overall, Faceless is an enjoyable mix of adventure, romance, and magic—perfect for fans of fantasy romance.

3.5 🌟 This was cute. It was nothing revolutionary as far as fantasy goes but at this point that's pretty hard to come by! If you're looking for spice, look somewhere else because there isn't any in these first 3 books. The romance was super cute and I loved to see strong female main characters. I will definitely continue this series at some point. I listened to the audio through netgalley and enjoyed the narrators but I think having a male narrator for male parts would have been a bonus.

Thank you NetGalley for this audiobook ARC

This is volume 1 - so includes the first three books of Legends of Abreia series. Which I did not realise going in. There are 6 books in this completed series and I was hooked from Book 1.

The author has cleverly divided the 6 book into three couples. Books 1 and 2 are from the POV of Leissa and 'The Raven'. The faceless Mage and The Unseen Heir.

Leisa is the bodyguard to the Princess Evaraine of Farhall, one of Kingdoms of the Five Thrones of Abreia. Farhall is one of the only kingdoms that does not prosecute Mages ( magic wielders). Leisa is one of these mages , with the ability to change her appearance using a mirror or reflection surface. Princess Evaraine, the only child to the King Soren , has been betrothed to the second son of King Melger, Prince Vaniell. The kingdom of Garimore, where Prince Vaniell is from, is widely known for its prosecution of mages. In order to protect his precious daughter, King Soren asked Leisa, who he fostered after her family abandoned her at a young, to use her magic to impersonate the princess to make sure Garimore will be safe for her. Leisa is thrust into the world of court politics, where she soon meets 'The Raven' - King Melger feared assassin who is always in full armour and never speaks. Soon it becomes clear that the Raven is not who Leisa thinks and there is a darker world at play in Garimore.

Book 3 , The Hidden Queen, follows Princess Evaraine and Prince Danric. Prince Vaniell is missing and in order to get the treaty of peace between Garimore and Farhhall, the real Princess Evaraine, who has been in seclusion, agrees to go to Garimore once more after being threatened by Prince Danric , the heir to Garimore. Prince Danric and Pricness Evariane have a past and soon more secrets are revealed , they team up together. We meet the characters from Book 1 and 2 throughout Book 3. Be warned Book 3 ends on a cliffhanger and I will be continuing the series.

This series had great world building and characters. I am so excited to continue in the world of Arbeia.

I love this series! It is fantasy, clean romance, with interesting characters that make me care while pulling me into their world. These books are fast paced, with so much action and adventure, that you arrive sad when they end. The characters are dynamic and well written. I highly recommend It.

This is a great series and I was surprised to get an Omnibius! I liked the 1st and 2nd books the best and think anyone who liked a decent fantasy series would enjoy this series! From the very start i wanted to know more about the Man in the mask and what happened to him, it is really what kept my intrest.

I liked this audiobook. It is a bit long though and since there are two books per couple it seems weird to cut after book 3. It would have been better to cut after book 2.
The audio is good. The story is okay. Overall I would give this a 3.5 ⭐️

Thank you Netgalley for a free audio version of this book! I feel like this book was a lot of character intros and setting the stage for book 2. It didn't feel like a ton happened but since it's book 1 in a series, it is setting up for the next book nicely. I did enjoy the FMC perspective and it was a decent story.

It’s my first time reading, or in this case, listening to something by Kenley Davidson, and I’ll just say that I truly regret not reading her work before this opportunity.

I love fantasy and every aspect of it, and felt like the Faceless trilogy was the perfect example of a great fantasy series.
The best way to describe these books are a heavy plot with political intrigue, highs stakes and great characters with a small side of romance which I love.

The narrator Vanessa Moyen did a wonderful job with these books and I loved every minute of it.

In one way I love that we get all three books in one, but the satisfaction of “putting” the first book down and picking up the next wasn’t there and it was a little bit sad, I’m sure it’s just me though.

If you’re a fantasy reader, you NEED to read or listen to Kenley Davidsons books.

A huge thanks to NetGalley & Dreamscape Select for this opportunity.
