What a fun and fresh plot for a story! I loved Taylor- he's so earnest and trying to get to where he needs. He's heard all about Ethan from his boss, but he's not been given the full story. He certainly didn't expect to feel an instant attraction and pull. Taylor has to figure out how to make thi perfect sweet sixteen party happen and keep his distance from Ethan.. Mother Nature decides to push these two together with a tree fall and some forced proximity. Ethan is just as adorable as Taylor and their chemisty is smoking. But there is also a sweetness to the story as Taylor helps Ethan around the camp and also gives him cofidence in his attractiveness and ability to find love. I definitely think Ethan's ex is the perfect pseudo villain. redeemable but annoying. Fun read!

This is a light, enjoyable romance between 27-year-old Taylor, a personal assistant from California, and Ethan, a 40-year-old owner of a fairytale-themed resort in upstate New York. It's complicated not just because of the age gap but because Taylor's boss, Amy, is Ethan's ex-wife.

I liked the development of their relationship between Taylor, who is described as a "twink" with a surfer bod, and the husky bear-type Ethan. The dad-body rep was appreciated, as was his explanation of his late in life diagnosis of ADHD and how it affected his life and relationships. What I didn't love was one of my least favorite romance book tropes: the evil bitch ex-wife. The book tells us over and over what a horrible wife she was and what a controlling shrew she is to everyone around her. She predictably has a complete meltdown when she finds out about Ethan and Taylor, but then has a change of heart later that isn't really explained. I loved what we saw of the teenage daughter and her connection with Taylor and I thought we would see her confronting her mom and calling her out for firing him. That would have made the late development of her suddenly being nicer to him more understandable.

Regardless, it is a cute story with a fun setting (I wish I could visit this resort IRL) and some enjoyable spice. This is my first time reading a book by this author and I'll certainly be seeking more out.

This is the second book I’ve read Timothy J and as usual I really enjoyed it! One of the things that really stands out when I’m reading his books is the care he takes towards anything relating to mental or physical health. His last book, You Had Me At Happy Hour, dealt with OCD and alcoholism in a really sensitive and honestly caring way. In this book the topics of ADHD were one of the defining aspects and, as someone who sometimes feels debilitated by it, felt like the way it was handled was absolutely incredible. So 10/10 just for that.

The story itself was really unique but if there was anything I’d have liked to see mentioned more it was the fairly big age gap. I felt like it wasn’t talked about enough unless it was to drive conflict into the plot. But other then that I really enjoyed reading the characters and the drama that ensued in the third act.

Thank you to Harlequin for this eARC! This may have just become my favorite Timothy Janovsky book! It was so sweet and soft and romantic while also being complex about ADHD and sexy as hell. It made me want to pick up a bow and arrow and wait for a big burly man to wrap his arms around me and correct my stance. Taylor and Ethan have incredible chemistry and the storybook like setting is such a cozy little bubble to get to lose yourself into for this story!

Yet again Timothy Janovsky hit it out of the park!!! The way he writes characters just draws me in. I very much enjoyed this book. I very much an audio book reader normally so I can't wait to get this book that way too soo I can enjoy it in my normal fashion and get the most out of the story. Can't say enough good things about this book

I loved the premise of this book! The characters were both likable and I loved the representation of a fat character with ADHD. That said, I’m unsure why Ethan and Amy were ever together, and Taylor seems a little discombobulated to be a really effective assistant/events coordinator.

I always enjoy Timothy Janovsky's books. He has a way of capturing real human experiences and conditions and incorporating them seamlessly into his characters to make them relatable. This one had a fun and unique setting that worked well. This was an easy read that included age gap and forced proximity tropes, plus a little spice. After the main conflict in the story, the two MCs develop a cute way to mend their relationship and get to know each other better, and it fits perfectly into the theme of the story. I also liked that it did not resolve too perfectly before the epilogue. This was cute but I enjoyed You Had Me at Happy Hour and the (Fake) Dating Game more.

Once Upon You and Me tells the relationship between Taylor a 27 year old and Ethan who just turned 40. Ethan manages a resort that is ex-wife owns and Taylor is the ex- wife's personal assistant. A week before Ethan's daughter turns 16, Taylor arrives to prepare for her big day. Feelings start to grow as they spend more time together.

This was a cute quick read that is not my usual fair. It was an easy read that was a tad too predictable. Taylor and Ethan were likable characters who I wanted to get together. The side characters felt a little two dimensial and I wouldn't have noticed if they weren't in the story. I wanted more from the relationship between Ethan and his daughter Samara. The one scene we get is good but I wanted more of that relationship. The ex-wife Amy came around a little too fast for my liking as well. She was so angry when she found out and then like a week later she apologizes and puts his name in for a job opportunity. I know we are in the POV of Ethan/Taylor but I would have liked to see Samara with Amy too. I can see Samara defending Taylor.

So like I said this is not something I usual read but it was still a fun read. If you are wanting a cozy sweet read this book is for you.

I absolutely loved the setting and premise of this one. The touch of whisky that Janovsky likes to sprinkle in his books is just so enjoyable. I really enjoyed the characters in this one and was really rooting for them. NGL, very happy to have the spice back in this one after reading closed-door “Merriest Misters.” 😉 As usual, can’t wait for his next release!!

I have long been a fan of Timothy Janovsky's books and this one was no different! Once Upon You and Me follows Ethan, a divorced dad running a fairytale themed resort, and Taylor, Ethan's ex's personal assistant sent to the resort to inspect it and set up Ethan's daughter's Sweet 16. Ethan and Taylor have instant chemistry and I loved the way their relationship developed pretty organically (for a relatively short book). They are sweet to each other, funny, full of heart, and I love the world that was built up around them. I sped through it during a long car ride and would recommend it to anyone who wants to read a sweet, sexy, queer, age gap romance set in an idyllic, small (and queer affirming) town.

Ethan and Taylor were a cute couple, and the challenges they faced in relation to Ethan’s ex-wife (who is also Taylor’s employer) added an interesting edge to the plot. A satisfying read!

This is one of my favorites so far from Timothy Janovsky. Ethan runs a literal fairytale resort that he used to co-own with his ex-wife, Amy. Now his daughter, Samara, is turning 16 and Amy’s assistant, Taylor,has been tasked with throwing a birthday bash at the resort.

I’m slightly obsessed with the setting of this book. It’s basically the resort from Dirty Dancing with a fairy tale theme; at least, that’s what I was picturing in my head. I loved Ethan’s character and I enjoyed getting to see him connect with Taylor while they’re prepping for Samara’s party. Taylor brings such joy into Ethan’s world that is already rich, but is rooted In responsibility. I felt like even though Taylor was the younger one, he really understood and appreciated Ethan. I also liked the glimpses we got into both of their perspective relationships with Samara.

The one thing that really bothered me in this book was Amy. She was so out of line and I never felt like she owned up to it enough. She came across as really self-centered and cold and I think both men, but especially Taylor, deserved much more from her.

I've read multiple books by this author and they are always full of heart and spice and a lot of fun.

Ethan manages a Storybook Endings resort that he and his ex-wife, Amy, started years ago before their marriage fell apart. Taylor is Amy's personal assistant who has hopes of getting into the hospitality biz. Taylor leaves California to the Catskills to help prepare for Ethan and Amy's daughter's big sweet sixteen birthday and to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Of course, Ethan and Taylor hit it off right away but try to keep their emotions and hormones in check to make sure Samara's birthday goes off without a hitch.

I haven't read a lot of age gap stories and I felt this was well done without being creepy or inappropriate. I love that Ethan is a plus sized, bisexual, sensitive man with ADHD. It was lovely seeing Taylor be so sweet and sensitive with Ethan.

I really loved Ethan's daughter and his relationship with her. Taylor, spending a lot of time with Samara also had a very sweet relationship with her. It was nice to read a loving family dynamic.

The plot had a lot of emotional points and and was a fast and satisfying read. I really enjoyed the story and the happy ending.

This was such a good book. I loved the story and the writing so much. The characters were great and the story flowed smoothly. Will definitely read more books by this author in the future.

Once Upon You and Me is a perfect read. Taylor, an overworked and underappreciated assistant, goes to the Catskills to meet with his boss’s ex husband in preparation for their daughter’s Sweet Sixteen. Their spark is felt before they even meet and the chemistry is instant. Their banter, feelings, and spice are excellent and written with heart. The ending was ooey-gooey soft and the perfect read for an afternoon on the couch. I was already a fan of the author but this book should help cement Timothy Janovsky as a must read author for lovers of queer romance.

Once Upon You and Me was such a good book! It was a perfect lighthearted, cute read.

I liked both Taylor and Ethan, and thought they did work well together. I liked seeing the interactions between Taylor and his siblings as well, and the author did a great job of showing how his family dynamic influenced his personality.

I do wish there would have been more interaction between Ethan, Taylor, and Samara. It would have been nice to see a couple of extra scenes of them all together.

This book was really cute. I loved the idea of a "once upon a time" resort. After his divorce, Ethan has continued to run the Storybook Endings resort. Really, he's the heart and soul of the place. He's accepted his divorce and misses his daughter but is looking forward to her sweet sixteen being onsite.

When his wife's assistant, Taylor arrives... Ethan is enamoured. They click and the sparks fly quickly. I really enjoyed their relationship. Taylor was carefree and really self-aware and he encouraged Ethan to express himself.

There's discussion bout ADHD and I loved the way Taylor provided support to Ethan. Terrific representation.

This book has spice and angst, but importantly, a happy ending.

Having previously read other books by Timothy Janovsky, I knew this book would not disappoint! There were many different factors to this story from all the characters that played an important role to the main two characters, Taylor and Ethan.

Ethan is the manager for Storybook Endings Resort, a hotel chain owned by Amy his ex-wife and mother of their soon-to-be 16 year old daughter, Samara. Taylor, Amy's assistant is sent to the resort to over see the details for Samara's birthday. The moment Taylor and Ethan meet, there is an instant connection. They must learn to navigate their forbidden connection and hopefully at the end of the road find their storybook ending.

This was a great book all around. Between the connection of Taylor and Ethan and how they worked off each other to the other characters that played a pivotal role to the story. There were many funny moments and hot ones as well. You can't help but feel what the characters are feelings and route for them to make it. I highly recommend this book! Especially if you have read other books by Timothy Janovsky! You won't be disappointed.

This is my first Timothy Janovsky book and let me tell you it will NOT be the last. I love love loved this book! I can’t wait for people to start reading it so I can talk to someone else about it.
