An interesting new romantasy that had an interesting world building and storyline. I liked the narrator and enjoyed this one overall. Would definitely read more by this author in the future. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review! Great cover too!

this book series is so good. i love being wrapped into the culture, from the clothing to the food to the lore, it's wonderful. the audiobook is so good. i cannot wait for book four. i loved how this one didn't end on to much of a cliffhanger like other books Nisha has wrote. I didn't think it was possible to out brood Nadir but Rabin has taken the crown. And in true Nisha fashion, Zarya holds up her end with some femme rage and I am here for it. Yasen has my heart and I love their relationship, second best friend and all. I am nervous for what is going to happen with her father and Vik...something fishy is going on with those two..

I love this book. I love this series. If you read books 1 and 2 - keep going! This book brings a different vibe to the series thus far. The calm before the storm is how it felt to me. Yasen was perfect per usual. While still being charming, witty and my favorite, he had a mature and wise side to him throughout as well. Z and R are a 🎢 as we love. We learn so much new intel too. I had the eARC and the audio ARC. I really, really enjoy this series via audio. The narrator does a beautiful job with the dynamic cast. I also really like not having to guess how to pronounce things. 💁‍♀️

Thank you so much to NetGalley, Nisha J Tuli 👸, Second Sky books and DreamScape Media for ARCs of this book!

It’s official: I love this series, and now I am sad I have to wait for the final book to release. I really enjoyed traveling to a new place and meeting new people in this book. I feel like even the “slower” parts were still very action packed and riveting. I love all the characters. Their growth has been so fun to follow. Nisha J Tuli is the master of redemption arcs, and Rabin is the groveling king 🥵 Yasen is forever the best and I adore him. I need him to have the happiest of endings or I might cry. Now I cannot wait to see who will appear and what will happen in Andhera.
Shiroki Aserio continues to do a wonderful job job narrating this series. She gives each character their own flare, and manages to bring out the different emotions for each moment. I am interested in finding other books she has narrated.

And lastly, a huge thank you to NetGalley & Nisha J. Tuli for the advanced copy! 🫶🏻

I barely remembered the first two books so I had no idea what was going on half of this story... I remember loving it but idk if its been too long or I have just read so many fantasy's that they all blend together.. But as I started putting the story back together it made so much more sense! I would recommend reading these back to back!

Publisher's summary
Dark magic courses through Zarya’s veins—magic that could save countless lives… or doom her world.
Shattered by Rabin’s betrayal, Zarya vows to leave all thoughts of him behind. In the dangerous city of Ishaan, she joins an ancient struggle for freedom.
Ishaan is a city of violent contrasts. Nobles and scholars live in golden luxury. But thousands of vanshaj workers are born into magical slavery—in punishment for a crime forgotten centuries ago.
Zarya is outraged, and certain that the fate of the vanshaj is linked to her own forbidden magic. She joins a band of rebels battling for their freedom, and with Yasen at her side she throws herself into the fight.
On a deadly raid, Zarya uncovers the key to freeing the vanshaj for ever. But to use it, she must harness a power that could tear her apart.
Only one person can give Zarya the strength to reach her destiny. The one who ignited her magic. Who brings her more pleasure and more pain than any other. The last person she wants to see right now. Rabin.

Thank you, Dreamscape, for the approval of the ALC of Storm of Ink and Blood

Story: 4 ⭐
Spice: 2🌶 (I had a hard time trying to decide the spice rating. It's nice and spicy but there is also a lot of plot!
Narration: ⭐

Narrator: Shiromi Aserio

I was blown away by the Narrator. I could listen at 2x speed (which is hard for my ADHD brain sometimes) without any hitches. Her voice was crisp and clear and really sounds like how I envision Zarya. Simply beautiful!

This is Book 3 of The Nightfire Quartet. ONLY ONE MORE LEFT AHHHHH. I've really enjoyed this series and watch Zarya grow as the FMC. Also, you get to see a whole new side of Rabin, which made me laugh. Like of course, he could be like that. This book was action packed and a lot of secrets are revealed. I cannot wait for book 4!

4.25/5

It's such a pleasure to be back in the world of the Nightfire Quartet. We are almost to the last book! It's so exciting and bittersweet to be coming to the end of this series.

The beginning was a bit slow in my opinion but it was necessary. It establishes a new city, new people, and it goes deeper into the issues that we left off on at the end of the second book. After Rabin's betrayal at the end of the book, we also don't see much of him in the beginning of the book. It's well-worth it though when he comes back and when he and Zarya come together and work through it together. It was such a fun book!

I can't wait for the final installment. Where Rabin and Zarya will encounter their next hurdle, her biological father. Please do not disappoint me, sir. I am rooting for you not be evil.

Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Select for giving me early access to the audiobook. Shiromi Arserio did a fantastic job!

You know I absolutely love this Asian inspired fantasy romance series and this newest installment is no less captivating. We get to see new kingdoms, partake in a rebellion catching fire, and most of all get all the heartwarming moments of Zarya and Yasen’s unconditional friendship. And of course, Rabin, who we already know won’t hesitate to get on his knees for Zarya 😏. That Rakshasha has so many layers and has me feeling all kinds of way 🥵. I wanna move into that enchanting nature-filled house! I’m also loving all the new characters, especially Vikas and Miraan. But my heart breaks for Amrita and I so wish her fate will change.

So looking forward to the last book in the series and seeing how everything will play out!!

In regards to the audiobook itself, it was hard to distinguish which character was speaking as the narrator voiced everyone the same. The narrator also mispronounced a lot of names, including the MMC. I had to double check his name wasn’t actually Rubin 😬. It kept taking me out of the book and I had to switch back to the ebook.

This series continues to be great. It is fantasy with romance and spice and I'm loving these characters. I was expecting this book to lull a bit since this is the third book in the series, but I really enjoyed it and didn't feel that way at all. I really enjoyed reading about Zarya and Rabin in this series and wondered if and how they would work out their issues from book 3 and happily they did and they made up for lost time if you know what I mean. I'm definitely looking forward to the final book to be released and think I may end up re-reading this series at some point.

Audio narration done by Shiromi Arserio was great. I do wish this was at least dual narration but I'll take what I can get for now.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Select | Second Sky for access to the ALC in exchange for an honest review.

Storm of Ink and Blood is now available by Nisha J. Tuli!

3rd in the Nightfire Quartet. This book picks off immediately when Dance of Stars and Ashes left us. Zaraya is off to find her family and break free those whose magic has been forcibly taken.

In this book she comes into her own independence and strength. “With great power comes great responsibility” and she feels the weight of that responsibility pressing down.

To me friends and lovers were the shinning stars of this book. May we treat others with such respect, honesty and love.

I cant wait to see how this series finishes in the next books.

Thank you Second Sky Books & Dreamscape for my ARC & ALC. the audio was so hard to put down. I also learned I’d been saying characters names wrong in my head. Shiromi Arserio was phenomenal. She put in a magical show of Nisha’s work.

This is the third book in The Nightfire Quartet and I think my favorite in the series so far!
I absolutely love the authors writing style and humor. Even the glossary in the beginning is hilarious.

In this one our FMC Zarya grows more and more into herself, learns about her powers and works towards a higher goal with the rebellion. Her character growth is amazing!

Of course we also get delicious scenes with one of our favorite dragon shifter MMCs. And yes, after the events in the second book, he has to work for it 🧎and I just love how obsessed he is with Zarya 🖤

The friendship between Zarya and Yasen continues to be one of my absolute favorites! I would gladly read a book just about the two of them.

So if you’re into vivid romantasy adventures with an obsessive dragon shifter and ride or 💀friendships, I highly recommend this series!

The audio book version was done very nicely. I had no trouble following the narrator and she has a very pleasant voice.

It’s been a long time since I’ve read a series that gets better with every book. Loved this SO much!!

I love this series so much! Zarya is finally doing things she always dreamed of doing (maybe not the resistance part but you know getting out there and doing things!). Rabin was a total simp this book, his groveling was top tier, and I felt like we got to experience their slow burn all over again. I will say the first Rabin POV made me so mad! And I’m really nervous of that outcome in book 4. I love Yasen, he’s the best best friend and I’m so happy he kind of got with a certain person(can’t give too much away). This book took a different path than books 1 & 2, however I think it’s given Zarya a lot of growth and we’re learning more and more about the magic etc. I do hope we go back and see Amrita and Vikram because I feel like that’s an entire layer that was missing from this book. I loved this book and this series and honestly hope it’s more than four books because I have SO many questions!
Thank you Nisha J Tuli and Second Sky for the ALC!

**Review of *Storm of Ink and Blood***

*Storm of Ink and Blood* serves as a fantastic conclusion to *The Nightfire Quartet*, showcasing Nisha J. Tuli’s remarkable storytelling talent once again. The vibrant, South Asian-inspired world she has crafted is rich with detail, immersing readers in its culture, landscapes, and intricate character dynamics.

The narration flows beautifully, capturing the essence of the characters and their journeys, which have been expertly developed throughout the series. Tuli’s writing style draws you in from the first page, making it hard to put down.

This final installment delivers a satisfying and emotional resolution, tying up loose ends while also leaving a lingering sense of wonder about the world and its possibilities. Overall, it’s a fitting wrap-up that highlights Tuli's growth as a writer and her ability to transport readers to an unforgettable realm. Highly recommended for fans of the series and newcomers alike!

"Storm of Ink and Blood" is the third book in The Nightfire Quartet, and it really steps up the action and world-building. Zarya’s powers continue to grow, and we get to see her take on more responsibility in the rebellion. The relationship between Zarya and Rabin is intense and filled with tension—sometimes a bit too much—but it makes for a compelling storyline. Their dynamic keeps shifting, and I like that she didn’t immediately forgive him after the betrayal from the previous book. Yasen also shines in this one, with his unwavering support and their evolving friendship being a highlight.

The pacing is faster compared to the earlier books, with plenty of twists, new characters, and a lot more spice. The found-family element is still strong, which is one of my favorite parts of the series. The narration really enhanced the experience, making it easy to follow along, and the narrator did a great job bringing the characters to life. If you enjoy fantasy with rich magic, complex characters, and a good mix of romance and action, this book won't disappoint. It ends on a cliffhanger, so I'm definitely excited for the next one!

This is the third book in the “Nightfire Quartet”.

I binged the first 2 books this week and loved the world building, magic, supernatural creatures, the found family and action.
The characters are diverse and complex.

In this book we can see Zarya’s development as a character and her magic is more powerful. I also love the friendship between her and Yasen, the way he supports her but also tell her when he thinks she is wrong.

The relationship with Rabin also developed after the betrayal from the last book. I like that he made him wait, but he needed to grovel more. The tension between them was a bit too much sometimes as any interaction made them want to go to bed and that felt a bit too intense. But I like that he is obsessed with her and is willing to do anything to protect her.

The pace is fast and there is a lot of action. There are also new characters and places. The ending has a cliffhanger and I am looking forward to the next book.

I listened to all three books and I have to say that the narrator did a good job.

I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook from Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Its release day for A Storm of Ink & Blood by Nisha J Tuli!!!! This is the third book in The Nightfire Quartet series! I do not want to spoil things for those who haven’t read the series or haven’t read this book yet so I won’t share many details BUT this book did NOT disappoint! Nisha’s books have never disappointed me. This book had sassy and hilarious banter, found family, a bit of slow burn, bonded pairs, a swoonworthy MMC, a powerful FMC, fabulous side characters, and spicy spice! It was an emotionality roller coaster that I didn’t really have any desire to get off…even when I said I did. The end of this book was not as bad as I expected but as per always it had me wanting to ask for more! Love this series, love this book, love this author! I definitely cannot recommend this series enough, it’s become one of my favorite romantasy series, just like Nisha’s Artefacts of Ouranos series.

This was a 4⭐

Thank you @netgalley for both the epub #arc and audio #alc of this book!

This is the 3rd installment in the Nightfire Quartet and continues the thrilling saga of Zarya, a young woman caught in a world of magic, rebellion, and forbidden love.

The book is definitely more fast-paced than the last couple! It kept me flipping the pages as Zarya navigated the complexities of her newfound power and the growing rebellion against the oppressive regime.

The romance between Zarya and Rabin is a central element of the story, and their tumultuous relationship adds depth and complexity to their characters. (And okay, being honest kind of drove me crazy. Figure your shit out Zarya!)

One of the strengths of the series is the well-developed supporting cast. Characters like Yasen bring a diverse range of perspectives and abilities to the story, adding depth and richness to the narrative. It always makes me love a story more when the supporting characters steal my heart.

There were a few twists I didn’t see coming and I am excited for the next book!

Was I the only one totally confused at the start? Like last we knew she was going to find her family and now she is helping with these rebels? I would have liked a bit more explanation. I do not trust her dad and am concerned what is going to happen when they go there. Also? What the heck happened when Vikram and Amrita bonded because they both became SOOOO weird! Also, Zayra really needs to grow up (I am trying to be kind to our dear swamp girl as she has been sheltered) and make better decisions!

Wow, what a whirlwind of events and emotions in this books! Nisha, you definitely know how to keep us wanting more and that ending!!! I'm going to need a release date for the next book like yesterday!

This is my favorite of the series so far and I love the character growth we've seen from all of our main characters, especially Zarya! I'm so in love with Rabin and love how soft he is for Zarya, even when she was unsure of how to feel towards him. The steamy moments in this book are so delicious!! I honestly couldn't love a group of people more than I do with Zarya and her crew. They are the epitome of the found family trope and will ride or die for each other.

Loved the audio narration for the first two books and also really enjoyed listening to this one as well! The narration was easy to follow along and I devoured this in a couple days!

What to expect:
-Enemies to lovers to enemies to...
-Found family
-Unique magic
-Slow burn to spicy romance
-Fated something...
-Touch her and die

Set to release on October 4th and is a must read if you are a fantasy lover! Nisha always amazes me with her books!

Thank you so much to Nisha J. Tuli, NetGalley, and Dreamscape Select for allowing me to read and review an ALC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion!
