Zarya and Yasen are off in her family's kingdom and have managed to get involved with a group of rebels. She learns more ways that her powers can be of use. Rabiv goes on a very necessary apology tour, and they figure out more about their relationship. The drama hits near the end, and things are set up further for the final installment, which will involve both sides of her family and her role in the prophecy.

This series has gotten increasingly better with each installment. Book 3 adds a Rabiv POV. I'm always a fan of a dual POV; characters can not know what other's motives are, but I certainly like to. I think this was a good call after the ending of book 2 made Zarya feel like he had betrayed her. We needed proof that he was on the up and up. I'll be waiting for book 4!

The quality of the audiobook was great. It is comprised of only one narrator despite there being more than one POV, but she does a great job of differentiating between characters without trying too hard to sound masculine, which can take me out of an audio. She speaks clearly, and I was able to speed up the audio substantially without it becoming hard to follow.

Thanks to Dreamscape Select and NetGalley for an ALC of this book for an honest review.
