Me reading this as a single woman in her mid-20's was a vibe, but I knew that someday when I had my own child, I would look back at this moment and be thankful that I took a proactive approach to dealing with an offspring in a screen-driven society. I was worried that this book would present a dichotomy that forces us to choose between technology or primitivity (is that a word?) Would I be a bad parent if I allowed my kid to have an iPad if it meant giving me a few minutes of peace to catch up on chores, or God forbid, a nap? And as a millennial who grew up in that twilight zone of pre and post-iPhone, what changes do I need to make and what attitudes do I need to keep to be a good role model for my child. All these questions are answered in this book, and while I don't necessarily agree with everything the authors laid out, I appreciate the openness and nonjudgmental tone.

This book didn’t really deliver on any insights a parent whose read a few ubiquitous hand-wringing think pieces about screen time doesn’t already know.

This book was spot on. I really liked how it opened my eyes to how I was letting my kids use technology.
