The cover of this novel is beautiful, and the title spoke to me. The plot is well done, and I enjoyed the book so much.
There was just the right amount of conflict, past grudges and things not always being what they seem. Jean-Paul De La Rue runs this beautiful inn with love, creating a one week experience each year with his cooking.

Everyone is dealing with a problem, some life altering, and the author did a good job making us care what happens to the characters.

Thank you to NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing for a digital ARC of this title in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

This novel is absolutely one of my top 5 this year.

Renee and Jean-Paul De La Rue run Vis Ta Vie inn, and the menus shared in the pages are mouth-watering. Every year certain guest come to their inn which a slice of heaven.

This year brings 3 couples, along with a single mother and her fifteen-year old. Each of the pairs is going though struggles. I love all the references to the stars and how each couple must learn how to move forward or decide to move on. Sometimes life brings people into our lives that are not meant to be there forever.

This week will test their relationships as they seek truth, get past grudges, trust issues and tragedy. This novel touched my deeply and I was rooting for them to find happiness.

Another fabulous book by Rochelle Weinstein! The characters in this book are.. quite a cast of characters. Each has his/her own backstory which Weinstein expertly details. The setting of the book is an Inn in North Carolina where every reader will want to go and dine! Weinstein weaves the setting and characters together with surprises and then a few more surprises. I very much enjoyed We Are Made of Stars and appreciate the opportunity for an early read!

We Are Made of Stars by R. Weinstein, published by Lake Union Publishing, is a poetic, warm novel, nostalgic, witty, lyrical, a simply wonderful love story.
I recommend the book, 5 stars.
Blurb: At the Vis Ta Vie inn, Reneé and Jean-Paul De La Rue face the daunting decision to close their beloved home for good.

They’re not the only ones going through a season of change, though. Their guests include three couples in crisis: Hollywood celebs Leo and Penny are spending their silver anniversary together while on the cusp of divorce. Lucy, a practical-minded therapist, and Henry, an astronomer with his head in the stars, are struggling to find common ground. And former lawyer and current stay-at-home mom Sienna and charismatic sports agent Adam look perfect but are hiding rifts of their own. Thrown into the mix are self-absorbed single mother Cassidy and her sullen fifteen-year-old daughter, Rosalie.

The stage is set for a week of betrayals, regrets, and shocking truths that can rend the heart or heal it. Vis Ta Vie—live your life—captures what it means to love through the darkness, and to find the light even after the magic fades.

Book Review: We Are Made of Stars by Rochelle B. Weinstein

In We Are Made of Stars, Rochelle B. Weinstein crafts an evocative narrative about love, loss, and the unbreakable ties that connect us across life's unpredictable journey. Through beautifully drawn characters, the novel explores how even when relationships fracture, the invisible bonds between us remain, like constellations that continue to glow through the darkest nights.

Weinstein’s lyrical prose takes readers through the complexities of grief and healing, showing that while the stars above us are constant, the stars within us burn uniquely for each person we encounter. The novel is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the redemptive power of forgiveness.

With its poignant reflections and emotionally gripping moments, We Are Made of Stars resonates long after the final page is turned. It’s an eloquent reminder that love, in all its forms, is what binds us to one another, even when we’re worlds apart.

Rochelle B. Weinstein delivers a heartfelt and deeply resonant story, making this a must-read for anyone who has ever faced the unraveling of love and the journey of piecing it back together.
