I was so looking forward to Marin's story and Jewel didn't disappoint. I feel in love with Ozzy. And with Ozzy's daughter Lola. A tragic car accident left Lola scarred and without her Mother and fearful of ever entering a vehicle again. Poor Ozzy is forced to ride his bike everywhere having promised Lola to not get behind the wheel of a car. Fast forward 2 years to his meet cute with Marin and the slow, incredibly romantic wooing ensues.

It was heartwarming and sweet and just what I needed after a string of October dark romances to get my heart lifted and ready for the holidays.

after Ozzy loses his wife and he made this mysterious promise he only rides his bike he wont even get in the car. Lola his daughter has been asking woman to see if they would date her dad. she ask her teacher and many more just so he would have someone with him and he wont be lonely. when his inlaws find out what its going the grandmother gets mad and said to him "we didnt move here to help you with lola so he can go out" When he goes back to work he meets a woman in the male bathroom and ask for tampon and toilet paper. Maren is a pilot, they start see each other spending time together wirh Lola Tia the grandmother is furious that he moving on to fast. Its a sweet story dealing with grief being a dad and startinh all over again.

This book is absolutely fantastic! Jewel E. Ann always does a fantastic job of drawing me and keeping me hooked. I could not put this book down. I loved these characters so much and found them very relatable. Great storyline and I adored Lola. Such a wonderful story!! I can't wait to read more from the Wildfire series.

I have to say, that was probably one of the weirdest books I've ever read... There were so many small elements about the story that were strange (like Lola's obsession with her dad having sex, the relationship between Ozzy and Tia, the way Ozzy and Maren met) but then there were also larger structure and pacing issues that I found strange as well. For one, I think the whole romance moved incredibly quickly. I believe they'd only gone on one date when Maren was already talking to Jamie about how she wanted to move out of her friend's house and buy her own place, with Ozzy and Lola seeming to be part of the reason she wanted to do that. I also think that Lola wasn't written authentically as a ten year old girl. There were so many pieces of dialogue where it was clear that a girl her age wouldn't be saying that or having those feelings, and it really took me out of the story. But somehow, the book was still really compulsively readable, which is why I've given it two stars. I think it should have been longer, to really build out the relationship between Maren and Ozzy before the romance started, and I think more time should have been spent fleshing out how a ten year old speaks and interacts with adults before pen went to paper on this book. But I had a decent time, so I can't complain too much.

Easily one of my favorite books, ever. I haven't teared up while reading a book in a while, and this one bad me sniffling so much. I didn't expect all the raw, real emotions to hit me so hard.

Maren is a tanker pilot who helps fight wildfires. She's endlessly fearless in both life and love. When she meets the new plane mechanic Ozzy she's instantly smitten and forms a quick, flirty friendship with him.

“If I weren’t riding off into the proverbial sunset on a bicycle, I’d kiss you. But my life is complicated, so I have to take it slow.”

Ozzy is hesitant at first because he's loved and lost. He's a single dad to his 10 year old daughter Lola and they both stole my heart early on. Ozzy fiercely loves his daughter and has a hard time navigating his way through the emotional turmoil of finding love again with Maren.

I loved all the fun banter that these two had while getting to know one another. They were like a breath of fresh air to one another, slowly bringing each other out just enough to feel comfortable and confident to be their true selves.

From Nowhere shows us that sometimes there's love worth fighting for. We see characters overcoming fears and trauma, and how love can get you through some dark, harrowing times.

This story took my breath away. The love between Ozzy and Maren was absolutely beautiful and watching him and Lola heal was incredible. Jewel balanced heartbreak and belly laughs in ways I'm not sure I even understand. I swear I would be biting my nails one minute and cracking up the next and soon after wiping away my tears. This book was filled with so much emotion and I couldn't get enough.

These characters were amazing. Even Tia, who was the bane of this Ozzy's existence, had a fantastic story arch and character growth. But I'm not sure I loved watch anyone grow like I did Lola... This girl was freaking everything and so many moments with her had my heart squeezing. I loved her to pieces and loved her moments with Ozzy and with Maren.

I'm hoping this is a trilogy and Will is up next. I love nothing more than a reformed playboy and I'm thinking he'll fit that bill. Even more so I'm so excited to hopefully get back to Missoula and spend more time with these characters.

I can't even explain how excited I am to read this book. Definitely highly anticipated!!! I have only read a few chapters so far, but I was immediately invested in the story and. having full confidence in this author and her work/writing style, I just know this book will be another favorite for me! 🤩🤩🤩

In from nowhere is how Ozzy met Maren……in the men’s toilet at his work…..but what she asked him for was priceless and laugh out loud funny.

The humour was great and mixed in with the sad circumstances on why Ozzy is a widower and why his inlaws live with him to help raise his 10 year old daughter Lola.

Ozzy Lola and Maren’s journey is complicated, heartbreaking at times but well woth the effort. Lola and Maren whilst not blood related are like 2 peas in a pod and Ozzy couldn’t be more happier!

I have read every book by this author and I continue to look forward to each new release. You would think she has run out of ideas and new stories and scenarios but nope! This is another winner!!

Jewel E. Ann knows how to pull your heartstrings. And she truly writes the best banter and meet cutes. This story is filled with complex emotions, overcoming fears, tragic pasts, and an abundance of love. Maren, Ozzy, and Lola will melt your heart. These three had me laughing, smiling, tear filled, and swooning. Their journey is heartfelt, extremely emotional, and filled with love. It is simply stunning.

ANOTHER HIT FROM JEWEL!! I just cannot get enough of her writing! Another 5 star read, as if I had any doubts. I loved everything about this -- the banter, the chemistry between them, and all of the side characters. Of course no Jewel story is complete without a little emotional damage, and when it hit I couldn't stop the emotions.

I'm excited to see what's in store for the rest of this series, and am hoping Melissa gets her own story. Jewel just creates amazing characters you can't help but get attached to!

to say i love Maren, Ozzy and Lola feels like a massive understatement. from the moment i started this book to finishing it i have just been in complete awe of these three.

i started this book immediately after finishing Fitz and Jamies story and while i was sad to be letting them go i couldnt physically hold in my excitement about getting to read about how bad ass maren was. truthfully i did not go into this story knowing this would be a single dad book and finding that out in the opening page skyrocketed my excitement even higher which i didnt know would be possible?!?! even though this is only my second JEA book, i knew after the first that this would forever be a future auto buy author for me and that i cannot wait to jump headfirst into more of her work.

the amount of complex emotion put into this book will never not amaze me moving forward, i laughed and cried, i wanted to throw my kindle across the room at a certain someones behavior. i felt so strongly during so many moments in this book whether it was good or bad and i often feel that if a book isnt making you feel these kind of things then whats even the point of reading it?! from nowhere felt like more than just a story, it felt relatable, real and raw. it shows how grieving and moving forward with life is such a beautiful thing that we often take for granted but also that its okay to take your time getting there.

the romance in this book is truly unmatched, ozzy laster had me swooning so hard as if these things were actually happening to me lol. i was constantly giggling at these two and their quips back and fourth. i adored seeing this bad ass, runs with the best of men woman get to be soft for once and let someone else do the hard things for her. watching maren also fall in love with lola was one of my favorite parts of this story i think, its not often in a single dad romance i feel where we get to see the ugly side to a life that has been dealt the things lola and ozzy had been dealt. where theres traumas that need to be worked through and the way maren handled every single bit of it was astounding to me. again, it was raw and real.

just like with from air it is not an easy journey to reach their final destination of love and complete happiness, but it is a beautiful one and one that i think everyone should take, all of the characters in this series are going to stick with me for a very very long time and i cannot wait to see where this series leads us next 🩵

JEA expertly constructed humor from the banter and momenys for enjoyment. Once again, she masterfully weaves together scenarios that leave me in awe of her ability to create vivid imagery with her words.

I treasure every word that JEA writes. She is a unique author who brings to life remarkable characters that capture my heart. Few writers can draw me into such an enchanting narrative world. Regardless of the genre, I am always excited to read her work. JEA doesn't stick to a formula; she crafts imaginative plots that transcend genres in her distinctive style. "From Nowhere" is a delightful addition to Jewel E. Ann's Wildfire series, filled with humor and touching moments. There were some drawbacks for me with this book but overall was such a treat!

Wow, what a beautiful story about the most amazing single dad out there trying to make it in the haze of his wife’s death. I loved this story so much.

From Nowhere is the second book in the Wildfire series. It follows Maren, one of the roommates, and Ozzy. They meet at work and Maren quickly learns that Ozzy is leading a complicated life, his wife died and his daughter has trauma from the accident that took her life, he lives with his in-laws and he’s just getting back out there.

I enjoyed this! I’m happy I read it, I liked the first one too. I’d rate this a 3.5 ⭐️, better than the first. This is very insta lust, insta love. Basically it’s a story of Maren and Ozzy trying to find a time and place to have sex, and once they do, continue having sex. They get to know each other along the way and they fall hard and fast. I liked Lola, I still liked their relationship although it didn’t really become anything deep or meaningful until later on. I really had a hard time with Tia and how awful she was, although she had a point of a couple things, it was a lot, I’m happy with how Ozzy stood up for himself in the end though. I think Maren was overly understanding and adaptable in a slightly unrealistic way, it’s hard for me to imagine someone putting up with everything she did so early on in a relationship especially because she wasn’t desperate. Ozzy really, really needed to go to therapy and sort through a lot, especially in regards to his reaction to what happened at the end. As with the first, I didn’t always find the writing in this the best, mostly the dialogue between Maren and Ozzy, there were a couple times where I thought, no one talks like this or what they said was really weird. Anyways, as with the first, there was something in this that kept me reading and enjoying! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the free preview in exchange for an honest review.

Another 5 star read from this series! This time, the focal point is Maren. Upon meeting single widower Ozzy in the bathroom at work, there is just instant connection. I loved the slow burn of Maren and Ozzy's relationship, as well as the inclusion of obstacles they face in light of grief. The star of this book, however, has to be Lola, Ozzy's daughter. I am a sucker for a single parent, and I can't resist a sassy, wise beyond her years daughter. This book really has it all-- banter, emotion, angst, and a cat! What more could I ask for?

What a compelling five-star read. I honestly didn’t know what to rate this one for the first half, and then I don’t know why but it clicked, and I was away, and then I was sobbing good tears as well as sometimes sad tears, Maren and Ozzy will suck you into their story and drag you in, there was something special about it all. The chemistry and build of the story is just compelling, the pace has been great and I was sad to see if go.

Enthralling, captivating tale swept me away in a deluge of emotions on every page. It's the BEST BOOK of the year!!!!
Well, crying my heart out wasn't on my bingo card today, but here we are!. Jewel pulls no punches when weaving adorablity with angst, and even though I read late into the night, clutching soaked tissues, this is easily the THE BEST book of this year. Ask my puffy eyes.

This is Ozzy's story

Many a times between the laughter and smiles, I came across such profound a line, I had to stare at the wall for a bit and repeat it in my head. I just dropped in a chasm and wanted to stay there processing what I read.

I'll NEVER EVER forget this story or this series. Book 1- was superlative From Air. This book exceeds even more higher expectation, that has become a hallmark of jewel.
Starts off with hilarity when an awkward meet cute between Ozzy Laster and Maren Bernabe in a public toilet, her asking his help in getting a tampon, the bar is set pretty low. From then on, every meeting is an upgrade between them.
She rescues a stray cat for them and then buys a house to give the cat a tree house. Could she BE any more wholesome!!
Turns out she's also an impressive tanker pilot which he maintains and preps.

“She flies a plane, and you ride a bike."

But this is Ozzy's story

They couldn't be more polar opposites if they tried. She's fearless, while he's paralyzed by trauma. cannot get into a car and neither does his babble-mouth,10 yr old daughter-Lola. They're both stopped short at the point of impact, her wife gone and they're frozen in time, by the side of that road.. Ahhhhh this story hurts so good, it makes me smile even at disaster that's in the background. Makes me hope when there's no way the earth and sky shall meet. Makes me snatch sneaky moments of lust, hiding from young ones eyes and doom-spokespeople inlaws.

Again, this is Ozzy's story

I fell in love with Ozzy, a boy who lost his boy hood shenanigans exchanging it for dad hat. His heart is still childish and naughty and mischievous. He's thoughtful in choosing flowers and confu0ident he could survive and still find slivers of happiness for everyone.

"My experience with love has been extreme. The bigger the love, the greater the pain. And I don’t know if it’s worth it because it fucking hurts to love someone this much."

He's conflicted, frustrated, careful, accommodating, tolerating, focused, empathetic, indulgent....in everything for everyone, he's forgotten about his own desires and wants and needs. His existence is tied to Lola's only. Which makes me sad.

Because, This is Ozzy's story

Maren is a typical jewel heroine. With extra dash of chutzpah, takes life by the balls and plays with them. She's skilled, fearless, brave, inspiring, uplifting, logical, wickedly funny, nurturing, compassionate. She's ready to mold her own life to fit in Ozzy's world but here's the thing...
She inspires HIM to be a better person for HER!!
Omg it doesn't get any better than that!!!
Their palpitating lust is out of control. Hurried kisses, breathless sex, mingled dreams and all.

“You’re fueling my fire,” she whispers.
“Every text. Every word. Every glance. Every touch.”
“Should I do something to extinguish you?” I smirk.
Again, she watches for Lola.
“You should burn with me.”

Holy mother of hot balls Fire!!!!!
Of side characters, jaime-fitzy provide support, will is adorably pouty, Lola is no-filter, super smart, daughter, who becomes the glue to hold them together.
Tia, I didn't like, but I understand her.
I babble and you listened, wait for this book, it'll make you shed happy tears
PERFECT 6 flowers for the PERFECT story

This story had great characters. Ozzy a single dad is very swoony and his daughter Lola is a very lovable little girl who has been through a lot. Maren is the lead female, she is a tough girl who works in a male dominated field, and she feels like she must always prove that she belongs there. This story is also about grief and tragedy and how people process and the effects it can have on their life. This story is also about how good of a parent Ozzy is and the sacrifices he makes for his daughters and her wellbeing. It takes a lot of patients to be a good parent. Life will always be full of what ifs and things that can't be controlled. You cannot dwell on the what ifs and if I could haves because that time has passed you just have to keep moving forward.

This is actually the first book I’ve read from this author and omg it was so good! I will definitely be going and reading some of her other books.
