100% recommend! I am obsessed with Ozzy and Lola’s relationship. They both went through great trauma and their love for each other as a single dad and daughter is incredible! Then you have Maren who enters the relationship. Maren is a badass pilot who fights fires. She’s a tough bird. Her love and passion for Lola is the sweetest. I loved watching Ozzy and Maren’s relationship develop, but I loved Lola and Maren’s relationship even more!

Ozzy was in a tough place living with his (ex) in-laws and I give his character so many props for being the upstanding human he is. He knows what it’s like to sacrifice.

There was so much sadness and happiness in this book, but the story is just overall an incredible one! 🫶🏻

I have such mixed feelings because there was so much I loved about this one, but also things that just felt off to me ??

This was a sloooow burn - the tension was eattting at first but I fear it lasted too long making the back & forth a bit annoying (for me anyway)

Maren was super badass - not only through her job, I mean a pilot who helps put out fires?! Sexy as hell!! But also, her free spirited nature & her ability to never give up. I loved the way she tried to instill those aspects into Lola through their talks; eventually helping her overcome her fears.

Unfortunately Ozzy, Oswald, Oz-man .. you did not do it for me. I wanted to shake him and tell him to DO BETTER towards the end of the book; I really was rooting for him until like 85% in & then gave up hope :/

Also I truly did not enjoy Tia & the need for the mc’s to sneak around/ hide their relationship due fear of how she would react for almost the ENTIRE book - they are GROWN adults like cmon now

Thank you to the author and Valentine PR for my advanced copy 🫶🏻

This novel delivers an intensely emotional experience, fostering deep connections with its characters. The protagonist, a strong and independent woman, immediately captivates, and the unexpected single-father dynamic adds a compelling layer to the narrative.

The author excels at evoking a wide range of feelings, from joy and laughter to sorrow and frustration. The story resonates with authenticity, portraying the complexities of grief and the gradual process of healing. It emphasizes the importance of allowing oneself time to navigate emotional journeys.

The romantic relationship is exceptionally well-crafted, characterized by witty banter and genuine affection. The male lead's charm is undeniable, and the portrayal of the female lead's vulnerability is both refreshing and powerful. The development of her bond with the single father's child is particularly moving, as it realistically depicts the challenges and rewards of forming a family under difficult circumstances.

The narrative doesn't shy away from depicting the harsh realities of life, including trauma and the struggles of moving forward. While the path to happiness is not easy, it is ultimately rewarding. The characters are memorable and leave a lasting impression, making this a highly recommended read.

Thank you Montlake for the ARC!

Jewel E Ann does it again! No surprise there, she continuously writes stories that squeeze my heart. From No Where was a great follow up to From Air. I was intrigued by Maren in the first book and was thrilled to see the second would be her love story. The connection between her and Ozzy was palpable, full of tension and swoony moments. The dynamic with Lola made everything feel higher stakes and we get bigger rewards when there’s a child involved. I loved every bit of it!

Oh my gosh, I really loved this book! I was hooked from the start and completely wrapped up in Maren and Ozzy’s story. Maren was such a badass—strong, loving, and so incredibly understanding. And Ozzy? Ugh, my heart!! He was the best dad and just the sweetest, most thoughtful guy. Watching him fall in love again while carrying so much guilt had me feeling all the emotions.

And let’s talk about Lola, what a little rockstar! She was strong and brave, and I felt so proud of her the entire time. The story had the perfect mix of heartache, healing, and love, and I devoured every second of it!!

3.5⭐️

bueno… tengo muchos sentimientos encontrados.

Ozzy is this beautifully broken man. He lost his wife in an accident and taking care of his daughter. I loved this book.
Jewel E Ann gives another amazing story. Maren is strong and independent and falls for Ozzy who is trying to keep his life together.
Their connection is real. He doesn’t feel worthy but Maren shows up for him time and time again. She has loss too.
This book is about not judging people and loving them and being there for them.

I was so excited for more of Maren after meeting her briefly in From Air and it was an absolute joy to read her & Ozzy’s story.

This book contains the most touching, emotional & heartwarming story of finding love after loss.

Maren meets Ozzy two years after he lost his wife in an accident. Leaving him as a single father to Lola, he is doing his best to support his daughter through their tragic loss.

Ugh, this story was just perfect. The complexities of all of the relationships and emotions involved, Ozzy’s steadfast support of his daughter in the face of her significant trauma and the depth of Maren’s affection and patience endeared them to me so much.

Honestly, these characters are just so perfectly imperfect - I could not have rooted for them more. Their exceptional flirty banter, vulnerable honesty and hilarious attempts at a hook up, woven between emotionally-charged conversations, had me smiling, laughing and crying.

Lola brought so much warmth to the story. She was going through it, but she was so brave, witty, confident and thoughtful. She was her dad’s unwitting wingman and she stole the show for me!!

I have said it before, but I can never pinpoint exactly what I love about Jewel’s writing. Her stories are just so easy to love. She creates the most realistic and relatable characters I have ever read, and I come away from her stories changed and content and From No Where is no exception!

Another amazing instalment of this series. I’ll be genuinely gutted when it’s over.

If you’re into single dad romances, then FROM NOWHERE, is for you! We’ve previously met Maren Bernabe in the first book, From Air, as she is one of Fitz’s and Jaime’s roommates.

You know I love strong, badass FMCs and Maren is quite the baddie! She is an air tanker pilot (aerial firefighter) - I mean, how cool is that? At her job she meets Ozzy Laster, an aircraft mechanic and it’s like instant attraction - you could literally (ok, figuratively) see sparks fly!

Ozzy is the single dad trope personified! He is the dad to a cheeky 10 year old daughter named Lola. He’s just getting back into working after caring for his daughter for the past two years. The last thing on his mind was meeting someone as he’s still grieving from the death of his wife.

But Maren knows loss all too well; she lost her brother, Brandon, 3 years prior. Maren and Ozzy could not be more opposite (grumpy x sunshine lovers, rejoice) but still be so similar at the same time. They’re both trying to learn how to navigate life while grieving the loss of their loved one.

Ozzy is a fantastic dad and I really felt for him; trying to balance work, his daughter, his in-laws and now, love. Maren was patient and took everything in stride. She not only fell for Ozzy, but she fell for Lola, too.

The book is a slow burn but it doesn’t feel like that at all. Their love is a complete whirlwind - they have an insta-love but timing is never quite right for them until it is. Loved all the fun banter and hilarious missed opportunities between them! I absolutely adored Lola and I know you will, too! 4.5⭐️

Another incredibly written book by Jewel E. Ann! Her books are always so raw and real with the added touch of wit for the perfect balance. You can be crying one second and laughing the next.

I loved Maren & Ozzy and the way their relationship blossomed. Their initial meeting was more than awkward but worth every square on that role, iykyk. Ozzy is a very loving single dad and is a very lovable MMC just with how protective he is over his daughter and how sensitive he is to her past trauma. He not only has to fight his own internal battles about letting Maren into their lives, but also the ones coming at him in the form of Tia, Ozzy’s late wife’s mother.

I love how much Maren loves Lola from the very beginning. She was such a great role model to Lola and helped her conquer a fear that had taken hold of her life. How she loved Lola with her whole being made me love Maren’s character that much more.

From Nowhere by Jewel E. Ann

5 stars

“I’m a goner. Single dads who say all the right things, pick the perfect number of wildflowers, and have the perfect hand brush before riding off into the sunset on a bicycle are officially my new favorite drug.”

The best meet cute. The slowburn. The chemistry. The single dad trope. The 6 flowers and handwritten notes. The sassy 10 year old daughter. From Nowhere was an emotional book of healing that left me crying, swooning and happy.

“The right guy can make any woman feel like a girl - a giddy, emotional, bursting-with-excitement girl.”

Maren and Ozzy are relationship goals. Be still my heart.

I am obsessed with roomies Will, Fitz, Jamie and Maren and their love stories! I cannot wait to read about Will’s story. I have a feeling that the Wildfire series will live forever in my head rent free.

“I will never stop thinking of myself as a fortunate man despite life’s tragedies. It’s never the things I see coming that take my breath away. It’s the moments that come from nowhere.”

4 1/2 stars

I really enjoyed Maren's story. Who would have thought she would end up with a single dad - - let alone one who had been through so much and was still working through so much.

Ozzy snags Maren's heart one sweet act at a time. The biggest way that he wins her over is through his love of his daughter, Lola and how he works to help her work through her struggles following the death of her mother. It's not an easy relationship for either Ozzy or Maren to be in but they are almost instantly invested and unable to walk away. It's as if they know almost from the beginning that there is something special there - - something worth the work they will have to put in.

It's an enjoyable and sweet read with some spiciness too just to keep in balanced. I look forward to getting Will's book next.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC.

Thank you to Valentine PR, NetGalley, Montlake and Jewel E Ann for an arc copy of this book.

Ozzy and Maren were just wonderful.

Book two in the series, I think this book was better than Jamie and Fitz.

I just loved Ozzy from the start. His priority is Lola, his daughter. He wasn’t out looking for someone to fall for. It just happened and in the weirdest way. Luckily Maren didn’t make it weirder than it already was or at least she tried not to.

The banter between these two was perfect 👌🏼. I laughed and cried and just wanted to live in their world a little more.

I was not a fan of Ozzy’s ex in-laws. They really thought they could control him. But as always love comes through.

It was great to see Fitz, Jamie and Will again and their endless razing of each other. They’re a great bunch of friends.

When Maren hits some turbulence. Ozzy finds it difficult to deal with and with the help of Lola he is able to be there and get over his fears for falling for Maren. Maren on the other hand gives him space and waits, accepting that he is struggling. It’s through tough times that we learn who belongs and who runs. Who is worth it and who to let go.

I am looking forward to Will’s book but I think that From Nowhere will be my favourite in the series.

Can’t wait to read more from this author, she is fast becoming a favourite of mine.

Maren, Ozzy & Lola got 5🦋

From Nowhere was so good!! I loved Ozzy, Maren, and Lola. Their story was beautiful and so week written. Jewel E. Anne did an amazing job with this story. It was so complex and full of emotions. I loved Ozzy. He was so sweet and caring and real. Lola was great and Maren was perfect. I loved all the emotions and humor. This book had it all. And the spice was hot and slow burning. The ending was perfection and left me so happy. I cannot wait for Will's story!

Sad day, I was highly anticipating this book but I found that certain themes just didn’t sit well with me. I will try more Jewel E Ann books in the future as the first in this series was a 5 star for me.

Maren is a firefighting pilot. She meets Ozzy while she's in the men's room. The ladies' room is out of order. Not only does she need toilet paper, but she needs a tampon. He's a plane mechanic.

Ozzy is a widowed father of a precocious 10 year old. His former in-laws moved in with him when their daughter, his wife, died in a car accident.

Ozzy's daughter is scarred, both physically and emotionally. The two of them travel only by bicycle. So the romance between Ozzy and Maren seems unlikely at best. And yet, there are flames erupting from both of them. But they can't date like normal people because of 1. The bicycle situation, 2. The daughter, 3. The former mother-in-law laying down the law and blaming Ozzy for everything that has gone wrong in their lives.

Yet love always finds a way. So do two passionate people. Can they find their way into a more typical love relationship?

This book is full of passion, angst, and funny bits that made me laugh out loud. I think this is the best of the series, so far.

"Maren thinks she falls in love with me every day, but I fall deeper in love with her every second of every day."⁣

First off, I am living my best life with Jewel giving us books from two different series that I'm loving with my whole being. Secondly, I try to go into her books blind since I know I'll love them. Right when I found out there was a single dad in this book, I was ECSTATIC. ⁣

It was the first sentence that made me fall in love. I may have started reading laughing, but there were plenty of tears from me. It was a treat revisiting Will, Jamie, and Fitz. Getting to know Maren and Ozzy and seeing their love blossom was so special. Lola though, she was absolutely precious. ⁣

I almost don't want to read anything right now so I can still bask in the beautifulness of From Nowhere.
