Since this is the first time ever my wish for an arc was granted, I felt very excited to read this one. As a mlb fan I was surprised to see that a chibi book was made from this series. Many mlb fans always wanted to have a book version of this great show, myself included. A chibi version definitely fits the usual mood for the series (at least for the first two seasons). The series might mature with its audience, but I like that the children touch of it comes back with this chibi art style in a book.

The art style is very cute and I enjoyed the small little stories. My favourite story is the last one. The fourth story was the longest and included a bit more stuff related to the actual show. Due to it having a greater connection than the other stories to the original source and having more length I found myself enjoying it the most. The other stories were definitely great and funny in their own way, but I prefer it when the stories (at least some) include more mlb related things, for instance, Ladybug and Cat Noir saving people and being in general on missions. The shorter stories aren't bad, I enjoyed them, but I think that either the volumes should have either more chapters/stories or longer ones, 'cause I think it's a bit too short when it has less than 100 pages. Since it's the first volume I think it's fine, but future volumes should be a bit longer to offer the reader a bit more.

Thank you NetGalley and Papercutz for the advanced reader copy of Miraculous Chibi Vol. 1 by Josh Trujillo and Carrie Harris.

Fans of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir will absolutely adore this charming chibi-style graphic novel! Pizza Pursuit and Other Cat Tales captures all the fun, humor, and action of the beloved TV show while delivering fresh, bite-sized adventures. The adorable chibi versions of Ladybug, Cat Noir, and their friends are irresistibly cute, making this a perfect pick for younger readers.

The stories, including the titular "Pizza Pursuit," are lighthearted and engaging, staying true to the spirit of the show. Thank you Papercutz, for granting my wish on NetGalley!!

This has such a great cover! Cute, cool and colorful. Great colors and fonts.

This is a graphic novel, based on the hit animated series.

4 seperate stories, which are all cute, colorful and fun!

The first story was a funny one, the second story was the most action packed, the third story was spooky and the fourth story was my absolute favorite, I think because of what I took away from it and how it felt like more than just a fun story.

Thank you to papercutz and netgalley for the arc.

This was a super cute and short comic for miraculous ladybug and chat noir and it was exactly what I expected it to be. It was 4 short stories that can be read separately from each other and are cute. For fans of the show this will be a hit.

I absolutely loved Miraculous Ladybug: Chibi Pizza Pursuit! The story is super cute, filled with fun and charming moments that perfectly capture the spirit of the original series. As always, I adore Ladybug and Chat Noir—their dynamic is just priceless! Even in their chibi version, they are absolutely hilarious and irresistibly adorable. Their interactions made me laugh so much, and every page was a joy to read. This manga was exactly what I wished for—thank you for making it come true! A must-read for every Miraculous fan!

This is super cute. Vol 1. has three mini stories with the third story being the longest and my favorite. The illustrations are great too!

So cute, the stories are very simple but the drawings are really cute. I liked this volume very much!

My relationship with the Miraculous Ladybug franchise is a wild one that I reflect on sometimes because it is just one of those 'I can never truly leave you behind/it always comes back' kind of things. I once heard someone describe the show as "A Soap Opera for Children" and that has really just stuck with me, so when I saw this at my library I just figured it couldn't hurt to pick it up.

And it was very cute, exactly what you might think of for a set of short Chibi adventures. In fact it reminded me a lot of RWBY Chibi, if any of you remember those. How the normal RWBY show was all high stakes action and combat but the chibi shorts were just the characters all acting extra goofy and light hearted, its exactly that vibe.

💭 My Thoughts

This was such a cute read! The art style was super adorable and fun to look at. With its short length and minimal text in many of the comics, it’s amazing for trying to introduce the concept of reading (such as turning pages and interpreting illustrations) to those who may be intimidated by lots of text. Each individual comic is broken up nicely to not be too overwhelming for early readers. Even if your child hasn’t watched the show, they will have no problem plugging themselves into these fun short adventures.

This adorable comic is a mini chibi series based on the cartoon, now turned into a book for kids who loved the show. It features the characters in cute and funny situations, like playfully fighting over pizza.

Perfect for young readers who enjoy the series, this book captures the same charm and humor as the mini-series. The art is just as delightful, making it a fun and lighthearted read for fans of the show!

MIRACULOUS CHIBI Vol 1 is a graphic novel that follows Ladybug and Cat Noir in several adventures that are quite funny to read.

This is a very early reader comic, so it relies more on the graphics rather than the captions. It's perfect to read with a young child who may not be reading yet as they can follow the illustrations to tell the same story. It is easy to identify Ladybug and Cat Noir, as the illustrations are cute and feel a bit retro.

This was a fun quick read. I love this TV series and enjoyed seeing it in manga/comic form. Would highly recommend for fans of this series.

I received and ARC of this book through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is a pretty decent little early graphic novel. Younger readers are going to up these stories about Ladybug and Cat Noir. The book is made up of a series of complete stories, so it's broken up into perfectly bite sized sections for those readers who find reading exhausting.

I was actually… not a fan of this one. Miraculous ladybug tends to deal with interesting topics in a way presentable to kids, and I expected this to be a little less than that, but there was absolutely nothing. Not one lesson or fable or anything. Which could be fine for a kid’s easy read book sure, but not on a franchise that is typically so much more intricate and complex, even so at a kid’s level. Maybe more because it’s at a kids level for me. Nor did the art really save this for me. It was cute, but it didn’t blow me away. Everything about this was average at best and sub-par at most.

Thanks to NetGalley and Papercutz for the press service.

Miraculous Chibi is a comic book made of short stories. Even if the stories can be funny, I don't think it suits the Miraculous universe. I think that's why I wasn't really into it. But I'm sure the kids would actually enjoy it.

This was not what I was expecting from this book. I expected a comic with more adventures and antics like an episode of the television show, but instead this felt like goofy fanfiction. As a book, it's fine and enjoyable; nothing special but nothing to disappoint.
