This is Book 5 of The Worthington Legacy series. The novel is a dazzling tale of adventure, passion, and intrigue. The story’s intricate web of disguises, double lives, and unexpected alliances immediately drew me into a world where every secret carries weight and every stolen glance hints at danger. The combination of high-seas piracy and refined, hidden identities creates a refreshing narrative filled with tension that captivated me from start to finish.
It is a sumptuous romantic tale of forbidden love that blossoms amid chaos, daring both characters to challenge the boundaries of their worlds. The clever interplay between honor and subterfuge is especially delightful; as each character masks their true self, slowly revealing of their inner strengths and hidden desires. The stakes are high, the emotions raw, and the unexpected twists bring drama and suspense with every turn of the page.
Overall, the author does a lovely job of blending elements of revenge, mystery, and undeniable chemistry and creating a truly enchanting escape.
I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Two secrets don't make a right, or do they? Lady Emmie Langston switches places with her maid and hides with her father's friends away from London. Her father's brother is in trouble with the government and could use her for nefarious reasons. Broderick Worthington is keeping his other identity a secret. He is also in hiding. Falling in love creates complications when they hesitate telling each other their secrets. Kidnapping, a trap and love force them to confess the truth.
Kisses only.

This book was so much fun. All the best spicy romance with a little bit of mistaken identity and a whole lot of laughs. Delightful!

Delightful Historical Romance with Twists That Will Keep You Turning the Pages
When Broderick and Emmie meet, he thinks she is someone else. He believes she is a companion to his enemy’s niece. What happens when he discovers the truth? Emmie dislikes her uncle as much as Broderick does. Neither realizes that the truth is much more complicated than anyone could have ever anticipated. There will be danger and treachery that will leave everyone reeling.
I loved this story. It kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. I recommend the story to those who enjoy historical romance with mystery, intrigue, and twists that keep you on your toes. I look forward to what this author writes next.

This book Is intriguing. A peers daughter who is told by her father to pretend she is a companion to save her from too muc trouble. But this ploy doesn’t quite work even from the beginning. As she gets further and further from her father the half truths she is telling gets all tangled up.
I so enjoyed the surprises toward the end of the book. The characters are down to earth and the heroes and heroines that I like to see in books. Strong women and manly, loving men.

Oh my goodness, what a thrill ride this is! The author captures your attention with page one and leaves you weaving back and forth trying to find the traitor. Many of the characters could be the one and when finally unveiled, it leaves you breathless! Emmie is a spitfire with a secret, but Broderick has one as well. It was thrilling to watch them dance around each other. Finding out the secret of her past was mind-blowing and the climax was jaw-dropping. I devoured this story in one sitting, it was so hard to put down. I found it very funny what Elias and Emmie thought of each other- well you will just have to read it to find out and Georgia-ah, sweet Georgia, so glad she got a happy ending too! Adored the reunion and was so glad it was included! WELL worth the time!
I received this story for free and these are my own views.

With historical romance I generally know pretty early on if a story is for me or not and this one just wasn’t - the characters just put me off very early on for some reason 🤷🏼♀️ but others love it so there you go

A thread of tension holds this well-written romance together as Emmie is sent to her father's friend for safety, in disguise. Her meeting with Broderick, who is also in hiding, en route to the estate brings about instance attraction, but cannot be acted upon due to their roles. Surprises unfold as Broderick and Emmie start to spend time together and a serendipitous meeting when having to take cover during a storm, reveals the biggest secret of all. As the suspense ramps in this novel, Emmie and Broderick discover they have common enemies, leading to mistrust and misunderstandings. The novel comes to a heartwarming conclusion with justice served and happy reunions. I received a copy of this enjoyable romance from Dragonblade Publishings and NetGalley as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Magic, adventure, deceit and romance all mixed into one story. Lady Sara is hiding her identity as is Broderick but for different reasons. The author does a fantastic job of mixing these characters along with many other layers into an engaging and not to put down story. As the lies continue, it becomes harder to handle but the truth may be more than either one can handle. Secrets from the past before these two ever meet adds intrigue and mystery to the story.

In this historical romance we get both the hero and heroine hiding their identities. Both are in danger if anyone finds out who they are. The disguises are easier for one than the other. Unfortunately lies are difficult to live with. Those lies date back many years, well before our lead characters were involved.
Can they find a way through the deception to true feelings?.
They are both great characters and there is plenty of adventure to be had.
Although this is part of a series you can easily read it on its own.
Good fun.

This was a very delightful love story. Pirates, secret identities, hidden secrets, lies, betrayal, and so many more exciting incidents and issues that kept me very entertained. The characters were strong-willed and interesting. I enjoyed how a lovely romance began despite everything happening. And I really enjoyed how happy and wonderful it ended for everyone. I highly recommend reading!

Thank you w9 much for an early copy. Absolutely fantastic regency romance set upon the sea . Definitely recommend

What an exciting story and the characters are outstanding.Anyone will truly appreciate and enjoy this book.I certainly did so will you.

1. Overview:
The world is tiny in how paths cross in this brilliant historical romance. Lady Sarah Emiline Langston the earl's daughter finds her affections and rescue in the very inherited title of the famous pirate Captain Hawk who is believed to have killed her mother. Mister Broderick Worthington is proud to be the feared Captain Hawk and sworn enemy to Lady Sarah’s uncle the chancellor but without knowing her true identity falls in love with Lady Sarah.
2. What did I like:
- The plot has twists and turns and surprises all around. Usually, in books and movies, a person can tell what will happen next. But just as I suspect something is going to happen nothing does and that is why this book keeps you guessing.
- I liked that the book is not a single-minded focus on the attraction between the main characters but that there is more to the story.
- The build-up of attraction between Lady Emilline and Broderick is done very well.
- I like it when an author connects the title of the book in the story without repetitiveness.
- When the cover artist read the book and this cover reflects the book perfectly
- The ending is done perfectly.
3. What I did not like:
- A year is not added to the novel but the era is still obvious in this romance.
4. Ratings and Final Thoughts:
If you love historical romance with action and intrigue you will love this book. The web of obstacles in this book is splendidly written. I would rate Her Captain Enchanter by Marie Higgins 5 out of 5
