Remember before it is too late …. but who remembers everything anyway?

A major storm is assaulting the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. Cedar Trail Lodge is full of storm watchers, waiting for this storm to hit. But there is more than rain and wind in this storm. Remi Grant is suffering from amnesia after sustaining a head injury in an accident she cannot remember. As the danger gains momentum, a stranger arrives who wants to help. But can she trust Hawk Beckett?

This first book in the Hidden Bay series will keep you on the edge of your seat, wondering if Remi’s memory returning will keep her safe. I love a good storm, but I must admit this one had me holding my breath at times. An early copy was received through Baker Publishing Group, Revell and NetGalley. These impressions are my own and were in no way solicited.

I picked this up because I'm always curious how authors will handle the amnesia trope, since I live with amnesia (which is nothing like the trope). I liked Hawk and found him the first character I really bonded with. Remi was harder to get a gauge on for some reason, but I appreciated that we didn't get all the pieces at once and had to wait to find out what was going on. If you like suspense you'll find plenty here--I appreciate stories that don't slow down or let you catch your breath. For me the characters never quite felt real enough to get me emotionally involved, but it was still a fun ride.
For those who love Susan Clark Warren, Lynette Eason, or Dee Henderson, this book is a great intro to Elizabeth Goddard with the first book in this new series.

This was a good start to this new series. This is a Christian Romantic Suspense with a slow burn, sweet and swoony, no spice romance. Our hero is a former Night Stalker helicopter pilot for the Army and our heroine is former military photographer. She has found herself a place to hide and relax on the Washington coast in Hidden Bay - a place people travel to and stay as a retreat without cell service and wifi. She experienced a trauma some years back and is missing a week of memories. Our hero also has a past and a personal mission. Thrown together because of the storms - both weather related and human suspense - our characters have to work to unravel a tangled and convoluted web where loyalties are questioned and the waves threaten to overwhelm. I was kept guessing throughout and changed my mind multiple times - I did not end up accurately guessing all of the mysteries. 4.5 stars rounded up to 5.

The latest book by Elizabeth Goddard keeps you "tied in knots" from the beginning to the end! A huge storm happening at a coastal resort, which is basically off-the-grid in all respects, a manager(Remi) who is trying to remember an event from her past, an ex-military helicopter pilot (Hawk) who is trying to come to terms with events from his past, and an unknown person who is making attempts on Remi's life. Wow! Goddards's writing had me feeling the cold, wind and rain while reading as well as the anxious feeling of not knowing what is going to happen next. If you like action, suspense and trying to figure out who the bad guy is, this book is for you. Be warned, everyone is not as they appear and you may be surprised at the end! I can't wait for the next book in this series! I received an advance copy from the author, publisher and NetGalley but all opinions are my own.

Riveting, suspenseful, page turning, and several "I didn't see that coming" moments.
This book is fast paced, gripping and engrossing. I loved it!
Storm Warning isnt just about physical storms. The reader will take away a sense of storms in their own life that need either to be faced "head on" or "sheltered from" for a while. I've enjoyed all of Mrs. Goddard's books, but this is my favorite thus far. I'm excited for more books in this series.

Brilliant start to a new series! Storm Warning grabbed me from the very first line. Set in the stormy season in the Pacific Northwest, I could not turn pages fast enough while reading this fast paced suspense story with some surprise twists! I loved the chemistry between Remi and Hawk despite both of them thinking they were not in a place for a relationship.

Remi is enjoying being the manager at a rustic lodge, is trying to get her memory back from one near fatal day, and someone is after her because of the memories she can't access.

"You're going to die if you don't take my hands now." Hawk just met her, but feels very protective of her. "I’m the guy who’s going to help you get your memories back."

I highly recommend Storm Warning for lovers of excellent Christian romantic suspense, whodunits, military fiction, and happily ever-after. Seriously, you need to read this! I can't wait for book two in the series.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and Net Galley for allowing me to read an early copy. All opinions are my own.

A fun suspense novel about a woman in hiding who happens to get found by 5ose searching for her, although who that is is unclear for awhile. Her rescuer has questions, seems he was looking to hide away for awhile too, but he can’t ignore the danger around her. There’s a few twists to the plot which kept it moving in an interesting way. The FMC seems to be irrational and impulsive at times which doesn’t quite fit her character background but it doesn’t detract much from the story, just the situations they find themselves in. Recommend if you enjoy Christian suspense!

Fast-paced story that takes place in a short time frame. Great characters. Good suspense.
Things are not all as they seem! I had my suspicions, and it turned out they were right. :) However, I won't tell you what they were! ;)
I definitely recommend this book! It's a good one!!
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the advance e-copy of this book! All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

I really loved this book. Everything about it was an entertaining escape from reality. The characters felt real and relatable, the storyline was, unfortunately, realistic. Faith was woven so wonderfully through this story, making it feel natural and impactful.

I would highly recommend this book.

The Hidden Bay series gets rolling with this unputdownable, heart-racing romantic suspense story. Set in the Pacific Northwest, non-stop action, mystery, and unexpected twists kept me totally engaged from beginning to end. Every answer found in the fast-paced plot, loaded with secrets, necessitates a new question. Even though I had inklings of the identities of two of the “bad guys”, I was not confident in my assessment until it was revealed on the page. The immersive setting provides a vividly sketched backdrop that heightens the tension and danger. The storms raging outside are indicative of the storms raging in the minds and souls of the characters. Former army photographer Remi Grant has forgotten memories of a past traumatic event that she needs to remember, and former military pilot Hawke Beckett has memories of a past traumatic event that he is trying to forget. They are complex characters who are easy to care about and who compelled me to root for their safety and a positive outcome. Romantic undertones add another layer of interest. I appreciate the encouraging faith moments sprinkled throughout the story. I recommend this book as a must read for fans of inspirational romantic suspense and look forward to the next book in the series.

Elizabeth Goddard is masterful at mind-teasing mysteries. Storm Warning is a perfect example of her talent for all things spy games. It’s also the first book in her new Hidden Bay series. Y’all, I can’t wait for book 2!!

The setting of a stormy coast in Washington state is perfect for the suspense that ramps up constantly in this book, even as the intensity of the storm increases. Remi Grant has lost a significant part of her memory and has sought refuge in a lodge on the coast, helping to manage the lodge while she tries to recover from amnesia. When she realizes that someone wants her to remember what happened on that army helicopter, she also starts to face danger from an unknown assailant. Hawk Beckett is staying at the lodge while he recovers from his own mishap in a helicopter and becomes Remi’s rescuer from several life-threatening situations. Together, the two of them set out to determine what has made Remi a threat to unknown powers and how they can neutralize that threat. The pace of this book is as fast as the powerful storm in the story and the characters are realistically portrayed and dynamic. I particularly enjoyed the research that the author included about the possible source of the villains and why they were coming after Remi. These details enriched the story with authenticity and added to the immersive drama. There are so many head-spinning twists and well-placed red herrings that I was thrilled to read a book that I could not guess what would happen next. The author is known for her riveting suspense and this heart-in-your-throat book did not disappoint. The romance is woven well into the story, but the main thrust of the book is the gripping suspense and the escalating tension that kept me completely engrossed by the story from beginning to end.

Just finished this book last night and it was great. A lot of twists and turns that surprise you at the end. Very fast moving story with Remi and Hawk trying to stay alive and figure out who is behind everything. Highly recommend this book..

Elizabeth Goddard crafted another fantastic read involving the female main character Remi having amnesia and the male main character Hawke promising that he'd be the one who would help her get her memories back. However, someone doesn't want Remi to regain her memories and does their best to ensure she doesn't. Hawke heads to Hidden Bay to seek a new perspective after a catastrophic event and is there when Remi finds herself in danger.
The storyline drew me straight in, and the suspense kept me turning the pages until the very end. The characters were well-written. This story will kept you at the edge of your seat.

Anytime I pick up a book with Elizabeth Goddard's name on the cover, I know I am going to be in for an exciting and suspenseful read that is going to keep me at the edge of my seat. Storm Warning was absolutely no exception! There were so many twists and turns in this book--- honestly, I had absolutely no idea how anything would end up turning out with this one--- feeling like I was kept guessing all the way through to the very end--- which I love in a suspense read. The suspense definitely kept me turning the pages to see how it would all turn out, but I also really enjoyed the chemistry between Remi and Hawk. The romance was perfectly balanced with the suspense, and I couldn't help but enjoy it all. If you love Christian romantic suspense, this is one you'll want to add to your TBR!

Storm Warning is book 1 in the Hidden Bay series by Elizabeth Goddard. I wanted to read this because I live in the Pacific Northwest, near the setting of this book. Storm Warning whisks the reader on a non-stop adventure from the first page. I read it in two days to see how it ended!

Remi Grant is quietly living and working at a lodge in Washington State near the Pacific Ocean. She has memories she cannot access and is under the care of a therapist. She knows something bad happened, but can't remember what. When she receives a lone puzzle piece with a note saying, "Remember before it's too late," Remi knows her missing memory is important and someone wants the information.

Hawk Beckett used to work for the King County Police but was let go in disgrace after a bad decision cost a life. He goes to the lodge to seek some peace and reflection when he finds a damsel in distress. After saving Remi twice, Hawk feels responsible for her and wants to help. Someone is after Remi, but seems to want her alive. Hawk and Remi must fight two storms; one from Mother Nature and the other man-made, determined to kidnap Remi for her memory.

I enjoyed reading Storm Warning. I liked the characters and the story line. The plot is heart pumping and face paced. I would recommend Christian fiction fans to read it!

Storm Warning

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
Haunted by a half-forgotten past, former army photographer Remi Grant is working at an isolated storm-watching lodge on the rocky Washington coast when she receives a mysterious puzzle piece. The puzzle piece may be the catalyst to unlock a disturbing incident she struggles to remember--the event that sent her into hiding. But with heavy storms rolling in, she has to focus on the present, not get caught up in the past.
I have read many of Goddard's novels and this one is as good as it gets!
This book offers non-stop action and I loved every minute. This is Christian Suspense at it's best, and keeps you guessing right to the end, and yes, I guessed wrong at times, and was page turning for answers!
I highly recommend this page turner!

This book was fantastic! Nonstop action from start to finish, and faith embedded throughout. I loved watching the MCs grow as characters and in their faith, and being from the PNW myself, especially enjoyed the setting.

Goddard has another winner here!

I received an eARC of the book from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

As usual, Elizabeth Goddard crafts a fast-paced suspense book that keeps the reader turning pages. Storm Warning takes place on the northern Pacific coast, and I eagerly anticipate further installments in this series, which will feature this amazing (and sometimes dangerous) setting.

My favorite line in the book is … “You know me, Remi. I’m the guy who’s going to help you get your memories back.” So sweet! I love the amnesia trope and a hero like Hawk was perfect for Remi, who has struggled with trusting others. Which makes sense. Someone had chased and targeted her all over the globe. The romance in this story was just enough while the mystery and action kept me invested.

This story is perfect for fans of: Christian romantic suspense, amnesia stories, military fiction, inspirational, stalkers, puzzles, whodunits, psychological, and happily ever afters.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher. All words are my own.

Revell and Netgalley provided me with a copy of Storm Warning for review:

The combination of amnesia, a hero with dangerous ties, and a deadly storm makes for a thrilling ride.

Remi Grant, a former army photographer haunted by a half-forgotten past, is working at an isolated storm-watching lodge on the Washington coast when she receives a mysterious puzzle piece. It may be the key to unlocking a disturbing incident she cannot remember-the incident for which former military pilot Hawk Beckett is seeking some perspective after a catastrophe in his own life. She must focus on the present, not get caught up in the past, as heavy storms are rolling in.

A mysterious man at the lodge saves Remi's life more than once, leading her to become suspicious and confront him. Former military pilot Hawk Beckett is seeking some perspective after a catastrophic event in his own life. In the face of the fiercest storm to hit the coast in a decade, Remi and Hawk must survive.

They aren't alone at the lodge, however. There is someone out there who does not want Remi to remember what happened--and they will stop at nothing to kill her.

I give Storm Warning five out of five stars!

Happy Reading!
