Anyone who knows me knows I love to craft so this title pulled me right in. The author is a true artist though with a degree in fine arts so her art was a lot more complicated than anything I have tried. I enjoyed reading about the process and all the fun she had. She also entered several art fairs that were very difficult to even get into and she was accepted for many types of art including pottery and jewelry making.

I laughed when she wrote about wanting a kiln because I have been down that road.  She wanted hers for pottery and I wanted mine for slumping glass bottles. My fun kiln days ended before they began when I found a free kiln online and my hubby hurt his shoulder (requiring surgery) when we moved it. I later gave it away. She ended up buying a second one and crafted many beads for bracelets and earrings.

The author included directions for several of her art projects- all above my skill level. I do highly recommend this book for all artists, creatives or anyone that can quite figure out what they want to do with their life.

A very unique and artistic book.
It make me think a lot and embrace my inner creativity.
I would highly recommend it to someone else.

This was such an interesting book. It is sort of a memoir, but really a tale of the author and her creativity leading her into so very many projects. (I suspect there is some ADHD going on.) She has a supportive family, especially her husband, to go through this journey together.
It almost felt like a novel, and there was a bit of a mystery about another artist friend.
I loved hearing about the "behind the scenes" of art and/or craft shows (and it's a LOT of work. I will never look at any of the work casually again.)
I was a bit jealous that the author had the means to go out and purchases all the supplies that allowed her to experiment (and she clearly has talent.) I'll also warn the reader: look at the pieces of art at the beginning of the chapter. I started out looking briefly, and then as the chapter story unfolded, I realized I needed to go back and study it again.
You don't have to be an artist to enjoy this book. She also had little "how tos" that really show some of her mistakes...
I initially hit 4 for this rating, but after typing out my review, I recalled how I felt reading the book, and I am going to raise my rating to a 4.5.

Thank you to Treble House Publishing, the author and NetGalley for a digital ARC of this title in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
