Thanks to the author for this arc! Thanks to the author for this arc. This is a psychological thriller about 4 friends from childhood as adults. Zoe, Dan, Lily and Rob and they are back together for Rob’s wedding. The story is just told from Zoe’s and Dan’s POV from flashbacks and some chapters are from Saul’s diary from before he died. (This isn’t a spoiler because it’s told that he died in the beginning.)They are reunited for Rod’s wedding to Belle but before that happens they go to a party and all 4 of them have no memory of what happened the night before. As they figure stuff out, secrets are unraveled between the group and it starts to have them all on edge. Typical group of friends thriller with lots of lies and betrayal and secrets. This has a lot of I Know What You Did Last Summer vibes. It’s a fast paced fun read if you wanna be entertained but some parts are boring… and some characters really lacked certain things but I still enjoyed this. If you like lies and secrets and betrayal this is your thing.
The novel’s pacing is steady, though it occasionally dips in the middle, and the big reveals don’t always pack the expected punch. Some twists are fairly predictable, but the central mystery still holds attention, as suspicions shift and alliances fray. The Scottish setting and Rod's mysterious fiancée add an atmospheric touch that enhances the story’s suspense.
Though it lacks the lasting impact of a truly shocking thriller, The Reunion provides an enjoyable, layered read for fans of psychological mysteries. M.A. Hunter keeps readers questioning everyone’s motives until the very end.

Interesting read and great characters. Jennie and her team had so many suspects to figure out who the killer was. Martin really shocked Jennie with his actions. The ending was good. Would recommend.
What a wild ride. Author keeps you wanting to know what is going on. I was hooked at the start and needed to know who did it and who was doing it.
Well, there are some seriously messed up relationships within these pages. They all need to get themselves some different playground pals. Of course, that makes for some delightfully devious reading pleasure, and I very much enjoyed watching this one play out. Yeah, the story arc is familiar, friends with secrets and a lot to hide, but it's well done and worth a read.
The Reunion- A mind-bending psychological thriller! This captivating read takes you on a thrilling and twisted ride full of adventure and suspense!
The Reunion is a suspenseful thriller that pulls four estranged friends—Zoe, Dan, Lily, and Rob—back together for Rob’s wedding in Scotland. Having drifted apart since their school days, the group shares a dark secret from years ago that none of them have spoken about since. But this seemingly festive reunion becomes a sinister confrontation with their past.
Each character comes with their own secrets: Zoe is grappling with a recent affair, Dan is struggling to support his aging mother financially, and Lily’s hidden past is only gradually revealed. Alternating perspectives allow readers to dive into each character's mindset, and while this adds layers to the mystery, it can occasionally feel jumbled. Zoe’s backstory is perhaps the most compelling, while Lily and Dan offer intrigue but not always the emotional depth needed to form strong connections.

WOW!!! What a great book!! This one had me hooked from page 1! This was a first for me from this author and I will not be my last! This one was a win for me!
I read this quite fast as the oace was so good. What failed me was the overall story, is not an original storyline and I feel it has been done a few times. I have to admit thay the turns and revelations were not expected but towards the end I was a bit lost with an extra revelation that wasn't really explained to us. Overall, is an entertaining read.
Ron is getting married and has invited three friends from high school. There was an incident during their last year of school. They have made a pact together to never discuss what happened. The last time they saw each other was at Zoe's 40th birthday. Ron, who is very well to do has invited them to Scotland for his wedding. They have never met his fiancee. It seems as they all have secrets. Dan needs money to take care of his aging mother, Zoe has had an affair, Lily has a secret also. The chapters are told by one of the 3. There is a reason they have all been brought together and you have to pay attention to find our what that reason was. I thought I knew what it was, but the writer really keeps you guessing until the end.
I really enjoyed this, I liked the connections between the past and the present and found the storyline engaging.
There were some good twists and turns and I’ll be looking out for this author in future

Gave me ‘I Knew What You Did Last Summer Vibes.’ Zoe, Dan & Lily are old friends who haven’t seen each other in a number of years. They decide to spend the weekend together to celebrate Rob (another friend of theirs) and his wedding to his fiancé Bella. However when they are together tragedy strikes, and it brings up memories from years past….memories that they swore they’d never discuss again. Each chapter alternates between characters, but it was a little hard to follow at times. Thanks to NetGalley & the publisher for this ARC! #booksbyashleynicole
I felt that I had read the book again with other characters and names.
I figured everything out at some point.
But it was a pleasant read.
The story is about 4 friends Zoe, Dan, Lily and Rod coming together after almost 24 years for Rod's marriage along with his fiance Bella.
All 4 of them are separated after a fateful night which took place about 24 years ago with the death of their friend. This reunion brings back the memories of that past because of the incident that takes place when they are on the way to the wedding place.
Though this book is quite enjoyable, the characters are not much progressed. Most of the time the story is repetitive that of Dan and Zoe's POV.

I couldn't put this book down, devouring it in less than 24 hours. The story follows a group of friends reunited for a wedding, a seemingly ordinary event that quickly takes a sinister turn. Haunted by a secret buried deep in their past, they find themselves entangled in a dangerous situation with suspicious coincidences.
The author masterfully weaves a suspenseful narrative, filled with intriguing characters and unexpected twists. While I didn't form deep emotional connections with the characters, I was thoroughly invested in the unfolding mystery. The writing is smooth and engaging, keeping the pages turning.
The major plot twists were shocking and I wasnt able to guess them. However, I felt that the final twist could have been drawn out a bit more, as it felt like the curtain fell too soon. Additionally, the final chapter, while providing some closure, felt a bit flat after the big revelations of the previous chapters. A more significant twist or unanswered questions in the final chapter could have elevated the ending.
Despite these minor issues, this is a highly recommended thriller that will keep you guessing until the very end. If you're looking for a fast-paced, mind-bending read, this book is for you.
In my opinion reunions are never wise! And this book proved me right. Everyone has an agenda and nobody is really who they seem to be! Great book.
Idea of book was good but not well executed. Took too long to get at anything interesting. Probably because so much space is wasted on inane details. Like a 50 page story filled with useless, non-supporting details to make a certain page count.
If you like long, drawn out stories with simple writing, you might enjoy. Not for me though.
I found this really easy to read. The storyline was very contrived, and unbelievable in places. That aside I still enjoyed it and raced through it
A psychological thriller told from a duo pov of Dan and Zoe also flashback from a past diary entry. I found this easy enough to follow, I sometimes struggle with multi pov. The plot is slow to build up, but the pacing flows quickly with the help of its short chapters.
I can't say that I liked the characters, Lily was probably the most likeable. For this reason, I didn't really care about what happened to them. None of them were particularly likeable.
I really wish the ending wasn't so underwhelming. Maybe because I had worked out all the twists, I hoped the story would have proved me wrong. By the end of it, I just felt, 'Oh, is that it'.
In conclusion, this is an entertaining read. It's a quick, easy, fast-paced, and bingable story.
Thank you, Boldwood Books, for my ARC.
My opinions are my own
DNF. I really loved the premise for this book, along with the title and cover, but I couldn't get into the story. I read nearly 80 pages before throwing in the towel because it felt like very little had happened.
Thank You NetGalley for allowing me to read this ARC.
