This is my second book by this author, and I liked seeing a little tie back to her other characters which was fun and it’s always sweet to have a little royal romance makes me feel like I could fall in love with a prince and keeps my hopes alive. I also really appreciated the mental health/illness representation. I thought it was really well handled and I will pick up other books by the author again!

I love Megan Clawson’s books!!!
This was a fun read and a great setting! While I will say this was not my personal favorite of her three books, this was a great addition to her works. I think one thing I liked best about this book was her side characters. Having a group of lovable characters and multiple romances in one book made for an even more wholesome story.
Can’t wait for her next book!!

i wanted to like this so much more than i did but the story felt like it had been done before and i had such a hard time connecting with the characters, things moved too fast for me to fully engage with them and understand them

I have read all of Megan's books from the beginning, this is another cute romance and I love it. Its so easy to read and cosy.

This was a good story. Not as light as I initially thought it would be. Topics of mental health/wellbeing and self-worth.
At first the characters didn't pull me in, but once the setting changed to Scotland, the story picked up.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for access to this eARC.

I really enjoyed reading this book, it had that romance elmeent that I was looking for and enjoyed how well everything worked overall. Megan Clawson has a strong writing style and thought it worked well overall. It had that romantic comedy element that I was looking for and was invested in what was going on. I thought the characters worked well overall and was glad I was able to read this.

Do you like men in kilts? Pick up Kilted Lovers by Megan Clawson. This was a great read. I loved it.

This was a cute romance, and I did enjoy the fact that we saw Balmoral in Scotland (as this author’s other books are set in the Tower of London).
However, the lack of communication between any of the characters irritated me sadly so that’s why the rating isn’t higher. Also, I didn’t really see the similarities with legally blonde (as one of the titles connected to this book is regally blonde) but then the other is kilted lovers?! 🤷🏻♀️
If you enjoyed this author’s other books then I would recommend this.
I received an ARC from the publishers via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!

I enjoyed this book SO much. I’ve had this cozy and warm feeling on the inside for the entire read, and of that’s not the best sign of a good book, I don’t know what is. I really liked Clawson’s first book ”Falling hard for the royal guard”, but this one was on another level. You can truly see how the author has evolved in the past couple of years with her reading and characters. Lady Alice is such a good female protagonist, showcasing the reality of depression through the eyes of a extremely public figure who hasn’t felt love for her entire life. When she’s sent to Scotland, her character undergoes such a big change in her way of thinking and accepting herself the way she is. Is beautiful to read. Scotland is of course my dream place, so any book taking part in the highlands is a fave in my book. Especially when the male love interest is in a kilt 😂 Such a wonderful reading experience that I highly recommend to everyone! (No spice in this one, so perfect if you love a ”clean” romance).

Another royal romance from Megan Clawson, this time following Lady Alice, a niece of the King. In a role reversal to Love at First Knight, Alice is the troublesome heiress, sent to stay at Balmoral in the Scottish Highlands in order to keep her out of the public eye.
As well as the inevitable romance, Clawson delves into the struggles of mental health, particularly for those in privileged positions and the public eye. Focussing on depression, and watching Alice unpickle her behaviours and find coping mechanisms, it added a depth to the romance and the growth of Alice's character. Despite being slightly unlikeable at the start of the book, I couldn't help but root for her!
We have a fantastic ensemble of supporting characters, true friends, and it was wonderful to see a small cameo from Teddy Fairfax!
A great addition to Clawson's portfolio!

Funny fast paced perfect to read in one sitting! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book.

This was pleasantly unexpected! I was a little weary at first, I couldn’t get into it but it picked up in the middle somewhere. Super sweet story that really touches on mental health. Solid characters that were likable with a good foundation. FOUND FAMILY 🫶🏻
Mrs. B, I adore you!
Longer review to come, but Alice and Fraser were great. Interesting and thoughtful story, set in Scotland. First book of Megan’s and I’ll definitely be reaching for her again.
Thank you NetGalley and Avon always for the advance copy in exchange for my honest review!

I love all things royalty and this is set at the gorgeous royal estate, Balmoral. I love the tale of Alice and Fraser and how two people so far apart in terms of their worlds can find some kind of happiness. This is my first book, and although it is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. I look forward to many more of Megan's books.

What a fantastic novel! I expected it to be like Megan’s other novel ‘Falling for the Royal Guard’, witty, comedic, cute and just everything a romcom entails! However, this one hit a little harder. Megan delicately created a character who suffers with her mental health whilst being one of the most privileged people in society, a royal. Alice is a character who speaks for those who hide behind a mask, suffering silently, always worrying about what others think of her. Megan describes Alice’s struggles in such a careful and soft manner. Mental health is a difficult and sensitive topic, and not one usually found within romance novels, but it truly couldn’t have been more beautifully written.
My heart laughed, and my heart hurt. Both felt so strongly due to the depth of the characters in this novel. I was heartbroken for Alice, everything she went through was truly devastating, between her boyfriend, her parents and the cruelty of society. I felt what she felt, the anger, the pain and the loneliness. I adored her friendship with Sophie, her true light at the end of the tunnel. Sophie is a friend everyone should have, someone who brings you up and never down, who makes you laugh and brings out the best in you. She was Alice’s rock in this book.
Now, onto the lovely Fraser Bell. How I adored his character! He is not my typical ‘book boyfriend’ but oh my goodness did I love him! He was so sweet my heart could have burst. He is truly the epitome of a Prince Charming without the royal part, plus he’s Scottish and we love a brogue Scottish accent!
The whole novel absolutely enveloped me, I couldn’t stop reading. I cannot wait for this to be out in the world so that others can feel what I felt!
Thank you to the publisher and to NetGallery for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

Lady Alice is a royal party girl who loves love. When she gets banished away to Balmoral for the summer to clean up her act, she leaves behind London high society and her boyfriend who she expects to propose before the summer is out.
Fraser, following in his father’s footsteps, is the dedicated Piper to the Sovereign at Balmoral. Alice befriends Fraser, and Sophie the maid and learns what is truly important in life.
Think Wild Child meets The Crown.
I admittedly went in to this with quite low expectations. While it was quite fluffy and at times quite unbelievable, I found myself gripped by the story. I was so anxious by what was going to happen between Sophie, Alice and Fraser.
I think they could have done more with the trip to Inverness, it felt like the plot events could have taken place anywhere so it felt like this was thrown in just to give a change of scenery.
Nonetheless I really enjoyed this and am excited to read more from Megan Clawson!

Twenty something Lady Alice Walpole has been living the reprobate life of a minor royal who seems to be drifting along with her equally valueless peer group. When Alice goes beyond the pale to fomenting a higher than usual level of scandal, she is banished by very unhappy parents to Balmoral Scotland; the royal retreat being far from life under their disapproving eyes as well as the paparazzi microscope. Alice is “treated” to the skirling sound of bagpipes outside her window early each morning and tricked into wearing rough and slightly tatty clothes while trying to claw out of an ever-growing depression.
The handsome piper, Fraser Bell, appears to be Alice’s opposite in every way including his place in society and preferring the horses he manages to people. With the help of some of the household staff as well as Fraser, Alice manages to find that life has much to offer outside of the restrictive, and often miserable privileges, of being rich and royal. It seems the common folk have much more to recommend them than Alice’s usual group and family.
Lady Alice and company get up to some high jinks in the wild and beautiful Scottish countryside light years away from repressive and depressing London. Because Alice and Fraser have not a few obstacles between them, Alice especially faces quite a few challenges for the course of love to run smooth. Lady Alice has a lot of growing up to do while coming to terms with what kind of path her life might take rather than one she has always known.

This was unexpected! A sweet romance, that wraps in gracefully the discussion around difficult topics and showcases mental health in a normalized manner, with full respect. I found this story of Alice’s grow to be endearing, easy for readers to connect with the main themes while the setting/scenario was far fetched as expected in fiction. I really enjoyed watching Alice find true connections, last friendships, discovering her worth isn’t tied into what others believe and overall gaining a healthier, more fulfilling perspective.

Thank you to Avon and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this arc!
I thought Regally Blonde was a classic royal love story and I loved reading it.
The characters were lovable and it felt like a fun found family. Sophie, Jimmy, and Mrs. B were great additions to the cast and without them the book would have been very different.
I loved Alice and Fraser. They both had their own issues and their story developed as it went on and it didn’t feel sudden.

I have read Megan Clawson’s other books and I am happy to say I continue to love her storytelling.
Fraser and Alice were great characters, and the story of friendship between them and the supporting characters was lovely.
I liked that the story touched on depression, it was well done for a romance story. I look forward to Megan’s next book.
