I was invited by the publisher to review this book. Allie and Martin are in the same industry; they are both writers, just of different genres. Allie writes romantic comedies, while Martin writes crime thrillers. Another thing in common? They are both in a writing rut and have no ideas to get out of it. So they decide to shake things up, and switch their respective roles. During this, Allie winds up meeting Will, who just so happens to fit two needs in her life: material and a plus one.
I totally loved the overall plotline of this book. I though the idea of two writers swapping genres was really fun, and I loved the role that Martin played in this book. I also enjoyed when Will came into the picture; their relationship had just the right balance. Finally, I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a laugh or a general lighthearted read. This checks all of the boxes.
