The flashbacks lacked depth, leaving a void in understanding the pivotal moments of their relationship. Side characters, apart from Phil and Gen, were frustrating, often pushing Eve toward decisions rather than supporting her heart. this is my first book by aimee brown and this will definitely not be my last. I really really enjoyed the second chance romance in this book and think that everything about this book was amazing. I enjoyed the characters and think that everything about this was perfect.

This book was a sweet read and had full humor on display! Our characters come together after a serious accident, we follow them through the last five years that have changed them, and watch them find their way. From ex-fiancés to divorce papers, it was a fun read!

Good for fans of Sarah Adams, but ones that are okay with open door romance. This is a second chance romance where I just didn't see why he would want a second chance so badly. The FMC was immature and whiny. She hadn't grown in the decade they were apart. Also, I hate complications that are simple miscommunication. I thought their origin breakup was too nothing to inspire so many years of vitriol. The writing was cute and I liked the MMC. 2 stars. Eve Cassidy thought Guy Foster was the only man she would ever love. She had it all with him and she was happy.
Now, 5 years later and she is nursing him back to health in her small apartment after he ends up in the ER that Eve is working in. Eve is a trauma nurse and has seen a lot, so not much phases her. Until Guy ends up there, that is. Eve is totally crushed after seeing Guy unresponsive.
Despite being divorced, Eve decides to care for Foster while he's in the hospital because he's all alone. Eve was Foster's emergency contact at the racetrack even after being divorced.

I loved seeing the flashbacks of the two of them and seeing how much they grew and then ultimately found their way back to one another. Having dual POV was a great choice and it's also my favorite because you see both sides of the story, not just one. I got all the feels from reading this and thoroughly enjoyed how it was a cleaner romance.

This book is exactly what I needed to get me out of my reading funk! It has me hooked from the beginning as we followed Eve and Fosters second chance love story. I found myself rooting for these characters, and sneaking in reading more chapters every chance I got! The story line and how it connected to the authors personal life really got me when I read the acknowledgements at the end. I’m so glad she penned this story, as it was a great read. Thank you net galley and publisher for the copy. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars. I will definitely be reading more from this author.

I had a hard time getting into this and was pretty bored. The characters felt flat and I thought it lacked emotion. I finally DNF'd 3/4 of the way through because I didn't care any more what happened. Life is too short to read a book you don't like.

This book as a second chance romance was definitly enjoyable but this is also a very emotional book, I know it was for me.. Both characters have their lives and their dreams but after a disaster old feelings appear and well, Eve and Foster can continue them or ignore them and the decision is pretty obvious

Eve and Foster attempted to move on with their lives when their whirlwind marriage failed, but five years later on the anniversary of their wedding, both are still struggling to come to terms with what should have been. Eve is busy working as an ER nurse, and Foster is still chasing his dreams as a motocross pro. Old feelings bubble to the top at inopportune moments and this time, the distraction lands Foster in Eve's emergency room, seriously hurt. With nobody to care for him, Eve takes over, unable to just let him be alone. As Eve cares for Foster, they must sort out their feelings as well as the truth, in order to move on with their lives. Is fate giving them a second chance for love?

The characters were likable and their situation was full of conflict. I enjoyed their banter and respected the struggles they faced. There were a lot of tough emotions throughout the story.

A super cute rom com! It was a quick and easy read and I flew through it in no time! I love a second chance trope and this one was no exception! The characters were likeable and I loved the witty banter!

I’m actually not a fan of second chance romances. I always think that it would have worked out the first time if it was meant to work. Anyway, I always stay away from them but this was automatically offered to me on NetGalley, and I was in the mood for a romance, so I decided to read it anyway. It was great!!

I thought this was a great love story. Couldn’t help dm but fall in love with these two characters. Definitely a great, swoony read and pretty well written .

Eve and Foster met at one of his FMX races and immediately hit it off. After a whirlwind 30 day romance, they decide to elope but neither one of them were ready for marriage. After everything fell apart, Eve left him with only a note and hadn't heard or seen him since. Five years later Eve is working in the ER as a trauma nurse when a critical patient comes in and to her shock it's Foster. Her heart can't let someone she used to love be alone while he's fighting for his life. The more time she spends at his beside the less she wants to leave... until she's agreeing to him moving in with her so she can nurse him back to health. Maybe she can work through her feelings and finally get closure.
This was a sweet clean second chance romance with realistic characters and a satisfying HEA.

Still the One is a light, fun romance to read during the holidays.. Readers will enjoy the witty dialogue and lovable characters and root for them to find love again!

Eve and Foster was love at first sight. They were married within a month. But broken up soon after with hardly any spoken words. Five years later, they meet again in the worst circumstances.

Forced proximity, second chance love. I enjoyed the side characters but I felt like the story and characters lacked development and depth. The story was pretty linear.

It is a happy ending and I enjoyed the last chapter.

A joy from start to finish. Romantic and relatable. Love finds us at the right time and that’s what this book gets at. Both main characters were a joy to get to know.

This book was super cute! Definitely what I look for in my RomCom books. I love when books change perspectives in love stories. It makes it easy to connect with both characters. And (obviously) I was rooting for them the whole time!

Took off half a star for two reasons… 1) because many times the cadence was just off - like scene changes would happen where there should’ve been a page break and there wasn’t. 2) I can’t say that this RomCom vibe book actually made me laugh. But I did get all the warm, fuzzy, lovey feelings, so that made up for it in my eyes.

Overall, I really liked this book, but I didn’t LOVE it.

This is my first review with #NetGalley and I’m looking forward to getting more sneak peaks of new books!
